I am so sorry you’re going through this. I can relate 100%. I’ve been having these symptoms and pain for such a long time. It’s like a double edge sword when you go for tests because ofcourse you don’t want anything to be wrong but you so desperately want answers for the pain you are in. Being dismissed and gaslighted is the worst part of it all. We know our own bodies and no one should make us feel crazy when we are telling them we’re in pain. Thank you so much for making this video and telling your story. It raises awareness that’s very needed and makes others feel less alone. You are not alone in this and I’m sending you so much love and healing 🥺🤍 X x
I am praying and hoping for the day I get diagnosed so, like you said, it’s confirmed that I wasn’t going crazy and something is wrong. I’m sorry you’re going through this but I’m glad you got the answers. I swear it’s actually mad how connected I feel to you with this because I’m now discussing the pill with the GP, my pain is so extreme I ended up in hospital a few weeks ago and i think it’s down to ovulation BUT like you I really don’t want to go on the pill. It’s so sad that’s really the only option because from previous experience I know how much it can effect you mentally. 🥺😔
Omg! Over the past year my cycles have become worst. You literally described all of my symptoms to a T minus the hair loss. I bloat like a freaking whale. The lower abdominal pain that I have literally is unbearable and feels like my entire uterus is about to fall out… and the boob soreness 7-10 days prior is the worst. I also just started having “pre- cramps” where my cramping starts 3-4 days prior to my period (which I have never experienced my entire life) I am in my mid 30’s and I have always had really painful periods but I just thought it was normal. I literally was on birth control my whole life up until a few years ago. I initially started researching this condition and immediately thought this is what I had, but I was taken back by the “heavy flow” symptom because I don’t have have a heavy flow at all. Your video has brought so much light to this condition and I’m literally setting up my appt now to see my doctor! I pray you can get some healing and relief from this!Thank you so much and please keep us updated, as I will do the same!🙏🏽❤️
I’m so sorry you have to go through this Sinead ❤️ but I have so much faith you will eventually find your solution that suits you. Women’s pain and symptoms are not being seen or heard, and the lack of research is shocking. But you raising this awareness is going to help so many girls !!! And we will eventually be taken seriously by doctors ❤️
I am so sorry for all of your pain . I was just diagnosed with Adenomyosis . I am scared of taking progesterone but the doctor said it’s the only way to slow it down 🥺 I am only 29
I was put on progesterone with adeno and it caused a 7cm ovarian cyst within 9 days diagnosed on ultrasound was taken off it as was always sick still 3 months without a period which I've had happen before and then heammoraged for 26 days
Please keep talking about this condition. After finding Dr Edi-Osagie in Manchester he changed my life forever. After surgery in October a year later my beautiful daughter was born and I can honestly say I’m pain free with no form of pill to control the pain. He’s worth every penny I spent & what the NHS couldnt find in 8 years he found 3 things in the 30 minutes. (He can also be seen on the NHS if requested) . Don’t give up ❤️
Thank you for sharing. I messaged you on Instagram and shared my story, I have been recently diagnosed with endometriosis and surprised to see how little there is on it online. You are so right these symptoms are not normal and you should keep pushing for answers. Xxx
Omg.. it’s like listening to myself.. I am 45 so no more children I have 1, I am opting to try the procedure that cuts the blood supply off to my uterus., if that doesn’t work then a hysterectomy,, but do happy to hear about the hair as nobody else was saying ,, good luck x
Thank so much Sinead. You have described me to a t! I constantly bloat, have pelvic pain (which meant things like split squats kill me) and there’s so many other symptoms. I originally went to the doctors to figure out my Hormones because of her lose but facial hair growth 🙈 so in the one day of my ultrasound I got adenomyosis, PCOS & possibly endo 🤪👀 I’ve to have a dnc to clear out my womb and take a mass away and let the camera see what the story is 🙈 I’ve had two kiddies, the doctor was very surprised but miracles happen 🙏
The hair fallout is caused by your blood loss from iron deficiency. Your clotting will cause iron deficiency. I have adenomyosis also probably going to book an appointment for a hysterectomy. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
You talk about your symptoms in past tense a lot in this video which makes me think it got better?? How are you now and what did you do? Please update us! ❤
Thank you for sharing your story Sinead. I’m so sorry you are going through this. It’s horrendous. I have endo, diagnosed at 19, 5 laparoscopies and waiting for my 6th. I have the same symptoms as you, hair falling out, bloated, fatigue and constant pain. My sister also has endo as well as adenomyosis, my Mam and Aunties had endo too. I’m 37 now, no babies as I’m single (men and intimacy give me so much anxiety 🫣) my only option as I wait for my surgery is to take an injection to bring me into a temporary menopause; I’m terrified but I have to ease the pain and have some sort of quality of life. Thanks again for speaking about it, more needs to be done. Take care xx
I literally had a rare bacteria infection done that flared up my adeno! I wouldn’t have gotten my full diagnosis without it with all the medical gaslighting! They also found a cyst inside my uterus!
Omg so I may have Adenomyosis, I am waiting on the hospital for an appointment. But omfg the pain is so so depressing, I am getting the lower back pain so bad ATM. The top of my head is so sore sometimes and I lose so much hair, I thought it was something else but now I know that's your symptoms wow I will be talking to my doctor again... It does feel like I'm crazy and noone believes me.
Oh also I’m on progesterone daily to help bleeding does not help bloating. Or pain at all. Helps blood loss. My functional dr says beef, tofu, dairy, gluten makes it worse! I haven’t given it all up.
@@lisafox1595 does the progesterone only pill not help your pain?? The main thing I’m hoping for is that it’ll help my pain. The blood loss I can at least help by taking high stength iron pills but the pain…. It’s bad… really hope the progesterone helps
I may have adenomyosis. The bloating and pain is awful! And I had heavy painful periods too which was relieved when I took birth control continuously (so no period) but the bloating and pain hasn’t gone away. My doc has said it’s hard to see adenomyosis or endometriosis until you get a laproscopy when they go in surgically and see what’s going on. So idk if I have adenomyosis or endometriosis or both. It feels like my organs are pushing out and it feels so heavy and painful just like you said and I had to give up wearing jeans.
I have same as you, I get large clots bigger than a 50c price, but not overly heavy bleeding. Adeno and endo is horrible I feel your pain and doctors do nothing :(
New Follower here. I was just diagnosed with Adenomyosis. How has your last year been with it and if you have had positive results would you share with us. If you have an updated video I would love to watch it. 💜
Does this get picked up on your smear? I’ve just been told I have this. Omg I relate to the swelling it’s been so bad for me lately I have to plan my outfits for the day based around my tummy as I know I’ll swell and thought that would be normal xx
Anyone have any good suggestions for the pain management? Having really bad and sharp lower abdominal pain now. I just got diagnosed with adenomyosis. Already took tramadol 100mg and aroxia 90mg more than 2 hours ago but the pain is still killing me. 😭
Hey. I’m currently going through the same thing. What did you decide to do ? … here are my options the Dr. gave …taking the estrogen pills prevents me from getting pregnant but manages the edeno. The ablation only shrinks the fibroids , and then there’s the hysterectomy. I’m so lost on what to do.
I had 3 healthy children with this condition. It did not get really bad till after my 3rd child’s birth. Don’t have the hysterectomy unless you don’t want a chance at a family.
