Electric Warrior was the first actual album (LP)i ever bought. Had to save up. It came with a big poster, which i sold for half the price of the album..around £1.30. Ah the memories.
I luv the song for both reasons, Billy Elliot was a fantastic movie and T Rex contributed to that. That's gotta be a thumbs up , for the rock or the film based on ballet xx
Truly one of the most beautiful people to ever set foot on this earth in all senses, the fact that he knew he was only here for a short while..... God bless you
@@KateHarper23 Sounds about right. Not this song though as he's dancing with his Ballet teacher in that scene but Tony and the Grandma are feeling the groove haha!! I love the Grandma she's ace love her
Always thought this was beautifully produced. Such a tight sound from such a loose song. His voice is on top form again, the drums sounds gorgeous and the guitar beautifully typical of Marc…the solo !
The late, legendary Marc Bolan who sadly died from a fatal car crash. Gone too soon. Left us with great hits such as: I Love To Boogie Children of The Revolution Hot Love And many other legendary hits. Rest in eternal peace Marc.
My parents passed the love of t-rex to me and then i my son, i still remember when he was a year old and robinsons used it in an advert he jumped up and danced wiggling his bum and his foot tapping away! None of my family can sit still when we hear this and i can honestly say it gives me one of the best memories of my boy been little, 3 generations and marc bolan t-rex lives on with all of us and im sure my son will pass the love on if he has children ❤️❤️❤️❤️ T-REX FOREVER!
Impossible to listen to this without some part of your body moving. What a Legend
yep could even get a corpse moving
Webb Pierce needs the credit In this
funnily enough i was sitting here tapping my feet to it when i read your post lololol
I have the flu and COVID but my feet are moving can’t stop I want to dance I am getting out of bed I have to dance.
Sometimes you just gotta bop along.... don't mind if I do 🕺🕺🕺
thanks to billy elliott for unveiling marc and band to a whole new audience
If this was released in 1972 this would have been a number one for sure, wish Marc would have recorded an extended version of this. RIP Marc

Marc Bolan - for sure one of the most charismatic stars during the so called "Glam Rock" period!

Quite Simply Way ahead of his time, and timeless, hes still cool and always will be.
Hardly, the song is Teenage Boogie from the 50s
This seems like a shadow of the greatness that T-Rex was in the early Seventies. Still a good track though
This my go to happy hour. Billy Elliot go man.
I love billy elliot
❤ Mr too😊
Yeah,That sensational dance scene from Billy Elliot with julie Walters. cant be sreened on you tube any more So dissappointing
Still listening and dancing away at the age of 78 some two years after my last post happy days ❤❤❤

One of the best solo's, in all of rock n roll ever.
The lyrics in this man's head is outrageous!! No one can ever come close EVER

Got sent out of class yesterday for singing this out loud unknowingly, it's too good of a song to keep quiet
Still a toe tapping classic
Any one for a bop.??
what if you didn't have any toes?

Too bad this song was basically stolen without any credit by T-Rex.
Wow i.m 63 now But I would love to Boogy ... British class at its Best ,
Was never able to Boogy but gave it my best
Never gets old.
Suggest you listen to "Teenage boogie" by Webb Pierce. Plagiarism by Marc would make even Jimmy Page blush.
i'm buying my 18 year old niece trex vinyl for xmas, she just bought a turntable, doesn;t have any records or know what to listen to, she will soon.
Simple but rocks well and you can hear the vocals. Brilliant
Wow good old song gets your feet tapping
