I am aware these are not the original Spinners, but that's what they were billed as. Nevertheless, they were entertaining and seemed to genuinely enjoy playing for a rather large crowd.
"It's a Shame" is co-written by Stevie Wonder, Syreeta Wright and Lee Garrett and produced by Wonder for The Spinners on Motown's V. I. P. Records label. The single became the Detroit group's biggest single on the V. I. P. Records since they signed with the company in 1964, their biggest hit in a decade. They recorded the song in 1970. The song, became a hit for the group reaching #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I 💖 the Spinners , but tis is a revamped version, of the originals (60s,70s and early 80s version)! It's time to hang it up (the Spinners name), and just enjoy their past music/performances, and visit the Rock n Roll Hall of fame - the finally made it 👋👋👋!

All the original Spinners have passed on.
None of these are the Spinners. They're all young enough to be GRANDSONS of the originals.
So glad I saw them in 1994 when there were still at least 3 originals left, along with John Edwards
who came in 1977 replacing Philippé Wynne as lead vocalist. Time to start naming the knock-off
groups (example) "John Doe and HIS Spinners," etc.
They are a tribute act now !
Just like the Eagles, but these Spinners aren't as pricey.

There is a reason the original spinners rarely performed this song in their post Motown prime in the 70s , it simply can't be done without GC Cameron 😂🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️....it was wrote for him!!!
That is also why they got a 2 , GC Cameron is alive and well...wtf?
