I like how you round up when making purchases. Total is $17, you take out $20 and put $3 towards a slow and steady goal. There's another cash stuffers who, after reconciling and unstuffing, pulls the remaining $1 bills from the envelopes and sets them aside.
The small amounts won't make us rich but it's a great way to chip away at a goal.
@613Cris thanks
It is a step in becoming a "saver"
Everyone finds what works for them. What works for you?
@@WillBudgetForCoffee Realizing I had impulse control issues.
We don't make a lot but last year I could "make" things work when they came up. So this year I started figuring out how to save for those times. Savings first (set amount), bills, then I have discretionary out of each check. Before the next paycheck is deposited all the leftover discretionary goes to savings. My next "big" goal is a year's worth of my current subscriptions (including phone). Then annual subscriptions, then utilities, then rent. It may seem out of order/priority but my partner also has his savings. We keep things separate.
@@613Cris sounds like a solid plan!
Well done
