To get the gated Fuzz sound you can also use the DOD Carcosa; which is also black and yellow. Sounds great and costs well below 100,-. Everybody should try them out!
@@haze_playzRB depends on the guitar, amp and Pickups. I use my Carcosa like this: demme Mode, Before on 65%, Output on 40%, After on 70% and Highcut right below 50%. I use a Tele with Single coils and a small Fender Tube Combo. Hope this helps
Thank you very much for all this info, I saw Jack White play recently in Seattle and his guitar tones and playing BLEW MY MIND, one of my favorite songs is - Little Bird in open E tuning. Thx!!
Great condensed music history lesson! Thanks for taking the time & doing research, pointing us in some other directions to use different gear. I will try that TS/EQ mod vs the Silvertone. Well done!
since you’re a big JW nerd like you said, (so am i). here’s a couple of pointers for Seven Nation Army. Meanwhile yes you said you have trouble playing slide, put the slide on your pinky. Jack does this so he can use his other fingers for pushing notes on the guitar. Use your middle finger when playing the riff on the low octave to slide the riff in the verse. He does this.
apparently his airline guitar had a big block of wood put in below the neck to keep in tune/stop it falling apart which gives it a bit more resonance as well, so even if you had a 59' airline it wouldnt sound the same and would be massively expensive/impossible to play, and yeah the solid wood ones sound totally different too... pretty smart though, now no one can "truly" copy his tone... only his look lol
So the pedal order is Amp -> Whammy -> POG 2 -> MXR Micro Amp -> Bumble Buzz -> Big Muff -> JHS Twin Twelve. There's one point Dagan threw on the Twin Twelve with the POG but that was to demo the sounds together. The Ripped Speaker was not in the chain, right? Muchas Gracias!
Nice Job man. Massive Jack white fan. I have a twin Twelve JHS. It’s killer I just have it on all the time. I’m digging the Rip speaker. May have to grab one.
Oh yeah! When I heard Seven Nation Army, I was like "YESSSSIR!". Also, he didn't only use The Kay for one song. He used it for Death Letter, Catch Hell Blues, Little Bird, Red Rain, And a few other's. And his newest addition: When he played the National Anthem Live 2022
Only thing I could see was that the second chord in the prechorus of seven nation army is not a a5 its just the open strings. I noticed that watching recordings of him playing it
When does PMTV will sell t-shirt with dagan face when he play ????? Nice video, I began guitar one year ego with the objective of playing whitestripes’song…(Never a week without listening ball&biscuit, stop breaking down and death letter, since 2003:). I have the EHX ripped speaker, bought with my guitar and amp….wouaw, sooo good hardware (the first Time I played rumble wouuuch…orgasmic:):). Thank you Dagan and PMTV for this video
Fantastic job, I’m a long time fan and I love that you didn’t just play white stripes stuff. When people do jack white rig videos they just do tws stuff. I’m glad you talked about all his stuff and played some deep cuts.
I'd love to see something about ghost, I think it'd be relatively simple, but it's like a mix of sabbath with some hard rock elements, interesting tone imo
while he is most noted using his custom built "Arm the Homeless" guitar, the closest thing to that is an EVH 5150 Standard, though he also used a Fender Telecaster and a stratocaster named "Soul Power" which he used more in his Audioslave stuff along with a Gibson Les Paul in Drop B he used on Gasoline for amps he mainly uses a Marshall JCM800 Head and a cabinet and for pedals he used an MXR Phase 90 (for the intro of Killing in the Name) a DOD EQ, two Boss delays one used for Shadow on the Sun by Audioslave, he used a Digitech Whammy of course, a dunlop wah for bulls on parade and anything with the DJ Scratch sounds, and for Like a Stone and Gasoline he used a tremolo of sorts, he also has a digitech space station

@@PMTVUK - Can you share the recommended settings on the EQ to achieve that Twin Twelve sound with the TS?
You know you are listening to a real rocker when he refers to a musician as "that chick with the violin". Dagan, you make it all look easy.
Triplegraph and midnight train fuzz got me sounding like jack. Can't stop thinking about the plasma coil
OMG so this is more of a live reaction but just got to the parted with the ripped speaker pedal. YESSS i absolutely love that pedal

I’d love to learn how to get the Blie Beins sound (Especially Live Solos sound) 🙏
Triple upload sick
6:16 Sound like Beverly Hills 90210 theme lol. More seriously i have a Squier Tele upgraded with Fender pickups so i guess it will do the job.
Best demo guitar player presenter boss rockstar in the web ! Thanks mate
I loved this video. Someday I'll support ye guys by buying a load of gear. Until then, I am in your debt.
i thought jack used a silvertone 1485 which has a 6x10 cabinet and the "twin twelve" is a silvertone 1484.
Montgomery Ward. Sears was Silvertone. All made by VALCO in Chicago.
Actually the Silvertone amps were made by Danelectro
the AC really got into the audio this time, but great video guys
i've played Rickenbacker 4003 4004 and 4001s besses Left handed for 20yrs But when i do use my ONE Fender Bass it has LACE Pick-Ups in it.
Killer sounds!
Is that the real story behind the EVH stuff? That’s hilarious and kind of not surprising lol
What kind of pick ups did he say jack white uses?
should've added some pictures of him and his guitars when explaining them.
I'd love to see something about ghost, I think it'd be relatively simple, but it's like a mix of sabbath with some hard rock elements, interesting tone imo
you should do MBV’s Kevin Shields gear. we’d be here for hours AHAHAHAH.
You forgot about about the 3 wheel tele and the fortknox les paul!
What is the pedal chain order ?
You absolutely nailed the tone, but for the aspiring youngsters at home make sure you have at least one humbucker on the Tele.
Thanks! 🤘
Dude is clearly a JW fan. Well done!
Nice one
sad that jhs does not offer the twin twelve anymore. awesome video anyway.
YES!!!!!!!
I had no idea that 7 nation army was not in standard tuning....... no wonder I couldn't play it the same way
