I finally have the opportunity to state something about you Deron, with the chance you'll actually see it. Your music has inspired me greatly through the years. I wouldn't be the guitarist I am had I never picked up Vol. 1 at Cheapo years and years ago. Deron. I can say with utmost honesty your music has saved my life countless times and given me the inspiration to pursue my dreams. Thank you.
My favorite part about your playing is how you never play thr same thing back to back in your verses. You always throw in some different variation and that is what keeps my brain exploding. I love your playing so much. Thanks for contributing to the best childhood I could have.
I know we used to talk about this all the time back in the Ask Cky days/when we used to write each other but shit Deron... it’s 2021 and your licks are STILL the most badass ever documented. Thank you for being my favorite guitarist in the damn world, brother 🤘🏻
Dude this riff makes me experience so many emotions and brings up so many past memories. You are an excellent guitarist and I wish you the best for what the future holds!
I've played and listened to all kinds of guitar compositions; from classical, rnb, funk, metal, etc. and I have no clue where you get the ideas to create such unique riffs
Krispy Kreme VERY well put. Daron isnt the most technical guitarisr obviously but the man can riff better than Hetfield's wet dreams. He just has the magic touch to any note and its relatives
derons riffs are so unique, i would know this was cky even if i never heard it before. especially with that signature octave guitar sound he often uses.... biggups deron, hope to hear more cky in the future
Long time fan your sound is one of a kind! And there’s nothing like it thank you for giving your art to all of us to enjoy! Keep the new projects coming love them all!
for over a decade now i've respected you as a guitarist and an artist but the fact that you're putting up videos of how to properly play your tunes is amazing, not something you see too often. Thanks for the timeless tunes and some of the best shows i've ever been to. always have been and always will be a fan dude
I still bump the cky albums and they just keep sounding better and better year after year ….. much love Deron and the whole crew !! Hopefully they’re all aging well with me hahahaha
yknow whats aweosme? watching one of the coolest dudes from your favorite band, playing your favorite songs! thanks so much deron. i love what your doing, so fucking talented. cheers
So much respect for Deron doing this. I don't play the guitar and will probably never learn but hearing such an awesome track broken down like this is simply amazing. I've bought all the CKY albums and would probably buy a DVD with these kinds of videos on it but for it to be free to view on youtube by the man himself just shows how much he wants to give to his fans.
searching through youtube for covers to learn how to play this riff, i'm so glad that this exists. another great guitarist that post vids of how to vids of their own songs is Dean Ween. wish we had more of that. so dope!!
OMG the bridge in this song sounds so amazing and it is so much fun to play on my guitar with a BOSS OC-3 pedal and some distortion and a little bit of flanger, great stuff. There is another riff like this that Deron played in some of the early cKy movies where he just sit and jammed , that riff which was some kind of jam session Deron played. It reminds me a lot of the bridge here in Flesh Into Gear. I really wished that other cKy jam riff would have turned up in a song as well because that riff had such a great heavy melody to it. PS. I JUST FOUND THAT JAM SESSION GUYS!!! If you guys google CKY 4 Deron’s jam, you will find a facebook link where you can watch and hear him play the riff I was writing about here, it is an amazing riff to play guys, check it out!
Brilliant song Deron :D You make original riffs that are really hard to forget. It's one of my favourite guitar riff beside "96 qbb" and "disengage the simulator". Yesterday I came across the "Rio bravo", it's amazing. I would be really pleased if You made a video with "Rio bravo". It's perfect to show off as well :D Greetings from Poland man.
I just checked out World Under Blood, Deron's band since leaving cKy...I'm so sorry, I just found out. This shit is awesome, and I never knew Deron was the cKy sound. Im such a pud. Anyway, you've been added to my top ten guitarists, among Dimebag, Logan Mader, Kirk Windstein, Pepper Keenan, James Hetfield, SRV and Hendrix
I wish i could afford that jackson, the silver, style beautiful looking guitar, Love you Deron^ you, Adam Jones and Tom Morello my top 3 favorites today, keep the good music coming bro :)
This riff has been playing in the back of muh head for yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaars. Thanks Deron for sharin your magic. Fav song...those slides...fuckin sikkkkk. So smoothe
Deron.. This has made me pick up my guitar for the first time in a long time.. I remember doing Testing for an assessment in school in the early 2000's (would love to see how close i got)
Deron, you are my favorite musician...not trying to kiss ass just saying because you're the only one that would take some time out of your day to teach some of your songs. Just want to say you're the greatest and thats why everyone loves ya man.
it depends on the song. flesh & everything else on IDR were all played in whole step down. DGCFAd. the only exception is attached, which was a 7 string tuned down half step.
Totally agree with Pschyotron7x2! Genesis 12a (Foreign Objects version), also if possible My Promiscuous Daughter, i just can't get the start rhythm/riff. Thanks for the great riffs you enabled me to grow up with!
Hey Deron, not sure if you're still taking requests, and man, am I late seeing these, but I was just wondering if you'd mind doing a video on your cKy guitar tone setup. I have the BOSS Octave pedal but just can't get that tight tone that you get. Hopefully you see this, you're the man!!!
So this is about the 50th time ive watched this video along with all of the other deron miller lesson videos . I need the whole thing like i said ill fucking buy 3 i dont care ive loved cky when it was foreign objects like come on . I think i qualify as a true deron miller fan lol
Hey Deron, my band is planning on doing a cover of Attatched at the Hip, could you do an instructional video for that song when you get the chance? please, thank you.
do you still use or ever used the boss oc2 on the cky tracks ive tried for ages to dial in that octave tone and was wondering if you'd share the positioning's cheers fella
you gotta tell me are you self taught or did you take lessons you are a favorite guitarist of mine not to sound weird or anything but i gotta know plus i love human drive can you do that one
I still listen to CkY at some point everyday. Thank you for all the music.
Same! Literally every single day since 2000 🤘🏻
Underrated band and guitarist, you're amazing buddy

It seems to me as LOVE this band he just understood Octaves and how to maximize them

Black Sabbath
@@eliashwm everyone needs a dad. Sabbath did it all
Everyone else did it better. Enough said.
Also you spelled Tony Iommi wrong kiddo.
derons riffs are so unique, i would know this was cky even if i never heard it before. especially with that signature octave guitar sound he often uses.... biggups deron, hope to hear more cky in the future
REZdubs I always said Deron is the new Tony Iommi. The riffs are so memorable, the best riffist SINCE TONY. No question.
Slippy Jones Some CKY fans are delusional
This dude is OK. Should join CKY they need a new guitar player.
Lol he wrote the damn song he’s extremely under rated

You're a great guitarist man. You get the idea that music can be heavy and have solid hook without getting pop-ish. Proud to be a fan!
