    That thermal is amazing

that thermal is huge and unpractical. Someone with theater experience might agree that a head mounted thermal optic is much more practical that you don't have to keep in front of your face the entire time to use it. That's besides the fact that ready up will be as fast as winter molasses. Don't get me wrong, if that had some sort of powerful Bluetooth 'type' technology that was sent to the user's interface, maybe then. Sig Sauer has it going on w/ their optics.

Biologist, not an MD, but I have to seriously question the claims of that collar via that mechanism. Sounds a slight step above wearing magnets in wristbands to ward off fatigue, plague, or some other nonsense. I'm curious and will look up the research, but I have a sneaking suspicion about how that will turn out.

I graduated highschool and can tell you that pressurizing a cavity will do absolutely zero to lessen internal impacts between components, and restricting blood to the brain is probably going to manifest odd neurological symptoms.

@@null2470 Admittedly, I barely remember physics class, but I thought liquid has different physical attributes than gases (air), no? I believe you’re right about pressurizing air has little to no effect on velocity. But I thought pressurizing liquid actually does. I looked it up briefly and read this: “Pressure and velocity are inversely proportional to each other. If pressure increases, the velocity decreases to keep the algebraic sum of potential energy, kinetic energy, and pressure constant”.
I could be misunderstanding this and I definitely am not sure if the above quote supports the theory behind this ludicrous necklace. It seems like before you reach any substantial benefits you could cause much more serious health problems by trapping pressurized bloom in your skull! Lol.

@@DrunkDrynastybasically: You can compress air, you can't compress a liquid. The theory behind that collar seems to be "we keep blood from leaving the brain, so there is less space in the skull, so the brain can't hit the inside of the skull". Which is a very odd idea to me. If you sufficiently compress the jugular veins to keep blood from draining, you will raise IntraCranialPressure and CerebralPerfusionPressure, which also means oxygenated blood has a harder time perfusing the brain tissue. And while the idea of reducing coup-contrecoup (basically the brain hitting the inside of the skull and bouncing around) might maybe theoretically make a little sense, it does nothing for kinnetic energy moving through the tissue, which is the primary concern with blast exposure like artillery, mortars, breaching, being on the receiving end of explosive ordonance and apparently even firing small arms. Coup-contrecoup is more for deceleration injuries, not so much for blast.

I went to shot show this year and it’s cool, but some stuff was “eh” but some things were great. I personally focused mainly on newer guns coming out or guns that came out previously that I haven’t seen in person.
