- With GPS you are able to know where you are, where you’re going, and how to get there anywhere on Earth within 30seconds. This means the higher the accuracy the better! GPS Real Time Kinematics (RTK) has mastered dialing in the accuracy on their GPS modules to 25mm, and that’s why we had to put it on this board!

While this is a great module for tinkering with high precision positioning, I think the price is a bit too much. Ublox' official development kit for Neo M8P sells for $400 which includes two devices with M8P-2(essentially $200 for each). Also keep in mind that to use RTK you need to feed RTCM data to the rover from the station which means you need some kind of radio link between them. Sparkfun modules do not have those inbuilt radio links but Ublox' official kits do and they also comes with antennas for GPS and radio link.
Nathan is my hero!
so if I use this module, I don't need to have any base station? where do I get the RTK from? I just put it on my rover and I get the accrecy?
when I tried this in work. we connect to GPRS and get the rtk from a Swedish server.
or I need to cards? one that will be set to RTK and then send the data to the other card that is set to GNSS?
Dear I have a question, if I try insert indoor 4 pcs of your product with base station, with antenna outdoor link by wire, and use others gps module with rover indoor, I have position and acuracy cms? Tks for your movie, this product it a one show
Hi, for a project I want to measure the realtime speed of an object in (cm/min). the object must move at a certain speed. such as a car that is allowed to drive at 70 km/h on the road. For example, my object must move 40cm/min and may have a clearance of 5cm.
I see that with this module you can display the location in cm accuracy, but can this also display the speed in cm accuracy?
thanks in advance!
Kind regards
Hello, Our Neo M8P was working fine for a month but now(cloudy weather) it is providing latitude and longitude as 0,0 and also PPS LED is not blinking..could anyone provide any suggestion to fix this..?
can the module receive RTCM-format data as a correction?
$200 is a great value for such a precision tool. Now it is possible to build that 10 acre dot matrix printer that tones with ...
Im interested to build low cost Rtk.
does NTRIP work with this card??
can it handle DGNSS data?
I just wanna know what is so expensive in RTK modules.
Same hahaha! I just don’t understand
Dear sir,
Very Good evening. Actually I have purchased your 2 modules( U-blox ZED F9) both modules are working well independent in default mode. But when i configured one module as base. I noticed that, it is not working properly in base mode according your document detail. Please I kindly request to you make a video for module configuration (as base and Rover). Sorry for my bad English language.
Thanks in advanced.
Manu saini.(India)
Please send me an e-mail. We can cooperate about that.
Hello sir,
A very good evening, Thanks for your reply. I have solved this problem, and now my modules are working very wonderfully. And two another modules are working very good.
Thanks with best regards.
Manu.
@@manuindia5792 Sir, What is the accuracy ? is it close to datasheet values like 1-2 cm ?
@@manuindia5792 you maybe have a short explanation of how you did it??
I guess one cart is set to collect data for RTK and the other to be used as a GNSS and receive the ATK from the other one?
not seen many tutorials on this card out there.
how do you send the rtk to the rover GNSS? is it something on the card that transfer that?
It hurts me to hear "Eye too see" :/
No out-takes? Did Nate record this in only one try?
Actually, yes
Been waiting for something like this. NASA said it would give away it's software for free in the US. One I was interested in was used by one of the tractor companies for precision GPS location. I tried to download the software only to be told I did not have permission. Thanks for nothing NASA. This will fit the bill just dandy.
wow... that price !
ya pay for what ya get?
I got my Rigol 1052e (second hand) for less than that...but it doesn't have gnss... so I guess it's not a good comparison.
well the chip itself is already about $100 but still thats quite a premium for something like this.
200$ for this vs simpleRTK2B for 211$ = are you sick ?!
Cool Nathan,.. but I'm entirely perplexed by the lack of bowtie.
Instead of talking. Show it. Show it in a video that this works. Attach it on the roof and a rover and show it. I challenge you.
Well I realized he is not lying. He says "RTK GPS" and "Normal RTK GPS module" so he is not talking about this particular module but rather in general. RTK GPS is precise. This is a marketing garbage. Challenge is still on. I challenge you to show this working.
@@MissileCats I did try. See above comments.
Please send this man back to selling used cars. He talks too damn fast.
