Great episode, good to here about geoscience and that site. Because we all know how hard geo vic is, layers and reload time is frustrating. Also gotta love a clean crack😂. Fantastic to see "Luke" out on a creek again. Catch ya sometime, somewhere, somehow 😊 Regards Andy PPA 😀
It was good catching up with you again Andrew. That creek is amazing, overwhelming even. I couldn't focus on one spot without looking at another. Just so, so many crevices. Talk to you soon mate
⚠️VIEWERS⚠️ Andrew should have plugged his podcast where he shows pictures from the Geoscience portal and the different viewing options and searches. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻🇦🇺 Edit: it’s Australia wide, not just VIC.
Once again, I'm envious that you've got creeks in your local burbs to fossick in. I'm going out on Sunday, have to decide how many hours I can be bothered driving to scratch that itch. Your miners right in Victoria seems a good thing, here in NSW state forests are easy, but getting legal access anywhere else is a mess of red tape. Cheers for the vid :)
@@mocaman99 i may be making it sound better than it is, when you start with very little you make sure you are getting every little bit you can. We are very limited down here but we are half the size of NSW to so don’t have to drive all that far
Gday - Hi i had a look at geoscience and couldn't find how to setup less than major waterways wondering how to show the allowed rivers or is it a list of disallowed Rivers? I don't like the confusing term excluded lol. Does the site show surfacing areas like Geovic which i hate as it refreshes everytime you push the Page about grrrr.
So it wont show the excluded waterways that would mean 2 gov agencies have to share data, you will need to cross-reference the park's website, there are multiple mining activity sections in the layers options I haven't seen surfaced arias while I've been using it however you are able to input custom layers so you could export any GeoVic layer and add it to Geoscience in custom layers, hope that helps.

Sure was Luke I'm looking forward to the next one too, overwhelming is a spot-on description for that creek 👍
Great day out there getting that Au fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
A gold pan is still the most efficient and pratical way to prospect for a source of gold.
I 100% agree there is also just something about the simplicity of a pan I enjoy too.
