    Good overview, thanks.
    "if it bleeds we can kill it" is definitely a predator line by Arnold. I caught it too!

    Thank you for this. I lost viewing access for 7 hrs just as the show was starting, so I missed episode four.
    Now I'm ready for this week! Cheers from Pat/ Yukon, Canada

    Great summary and insights, as always!
    The amount of new, working techniques we get to se this season is just amazing! I feel like that has been missing a bit in the last few seasons (although that may well be the edit).

    Awesome review sir. Great tip about the rock warming to keep warm. Yes, I heard the tree fall, sounded like two deer starting to fight. Sucked for Jake and he will be in a lot of pain, Tuff Dude! I think Timber will get the moose this time.

      Thanks for the offer! I know, my editing skills are crude, but they get the job done. I’m nervous about showing clips and images from the show due to copyright.

    Hey Alan. I have a question outside of the recap. I noticed you're looking super jacked, did you lose much muscle when on Alone? If so how long did it take to build it back?

    • @alantenta9825
      @alantenta9825  6 місяців тому +1

      I posted a pic on my Instagram of me on day 66; I definitely lost muscle mass, but still had some left. A few months of very consistent lifting and I had it all back.

    A miss a high target can result in a lost arrow, too.

    Seems like the ones they focus on most, early on, are short timers.

    Nice recap Alan! Do you actually remember all of this or do you write it out and read it back? I just came across this channel and subscribed. I watched you on Season 10 and was pleasantly surprised and proud to see a fellow BC teacher win.

    Timber did say that he was used to hunting red deer and probably underestimated the distance to the moose, because he didn’t realize how big it was.

    I always wear Marino underwear. Once I tried it I was hooked. It does seem to reduce odour and require less washing. Also reducing carbohydrates does seem to reduce body odour. Many people report this. I do find this personally.

    General question- I have never seen anyone bring a pulaski axe onto the show- has a hoe or adze like digging blade on the back. Are they not allowed or just not thought of? Thanks for another great recap- the mushroom joke was a groaner (so I of course told it to my wife 😊).

    • @alantenta9825

    As students of the show, you would think that losing your fishing gear, forgetting your gloves, burning your hand, hiding your game or not being patient with a shot would be something you would not do. Must be due to stress.

    • @alantenta9825
      @alantenta9825  6 місяців тому +2

      Stress is definitely a huge factor out there.

  • @jazzye6493

    I'm disappointed in William. Why would he store protein instead of eating it? He should know that it won't be there when he comes back to get it. That is no surprise. With his experience he should know better. And Why the heck would Jake worry about his underwear? Seems like a waste of energy boiling your shorts. I know I'm just an arm chair quarterback. But common sense is common sense. Or is it lack of protein that makes people think weird?

    • @alantenta9825
      @alantenta9825  6 місяців тому +2

      It could be he had more food than the edit revealed. Lack of food can definitely impact decisions; I remember one day near the end I went back and forth to my shelter multiple times because I kept forgetting things (more than normal)…..
