Just subscribed after watching season 10. How were the bugs during your two visits to Reindeer Lake?

I haven't fished in years, and I've turned into a suburban person over the course of my life, so please forgive if this is a dumb question. Is it feasible to take three regular fish hooks and twist them together with pliers and wire somehow to make an ad hoc treble hook?

Beautiful fish! I was wondering if you ever caught a burbot up there? I especially enjoyed watching you, Lee DeWilde and Melanie. When you chose to build a teepee, I knew I had to watch you. Same with Mel. But, when I saw Lee build, I just thought “oh crap” ☹️. His logs were so big, I thought he might be trying to win something from OUTDOOR HOME AND GARDEN magazine. 🤭 I loved that you researched things you saw on the show. I do too. I keep thinking the camera pro shots of greenery are something that’s probably edible. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for all the entertainment your struggles provided. 😄 And, I’m especially grateful you didn’t share any puss-filled maladies 😬

Also, great to hear you chose a spot that was sheltered from the wind by the surrounding trees, that decision would have kept you warm too. I truly think you’re the coolest person on earth, as I’m watching the show something I’m constantly thinking about is how some of these animals are able to survive in that place year round. It made me wonder if you had all of spring and summer to preserve food…. Do you think you could make it year round out there with the same 10 items given to you on the show. If not, what would you need in addition to those 10 to be able to live there “alone” year round. This too is excluding the mental side of the game, missing family and home and work. Think of it like an apocalypse situation you’re the last man on earth and that’s the only safe place left.

What a great experience to be able to visit the site. I've wondered if other participants gave done the same. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the updates, very informative. Im especially impressed on William's mental game. I love watching survival videos and equipment reviews ,diy. However I've never seen anything like this. After 11 seasons someone comes out of nowhere and impressed the entire industry with his skills. William could be just a person down the street going about his life. Congratulations to William.

So cool, thank you for sharing! I didn’t even like “going into” the cave via your camera, ha! Would have been way too claustrophobic for me, but I can see why you would consider it. I resonated with what Lisa said at the end-I wouldn’t be worried about my husband either, for the same reasons she gave. But I’m sure you missed each other so much, and it’s super cool you could return and “take” us with you!

That really ties everything together about the site. In the show, its all like snapshots of this and that. Walking through it was so cool. Thanks, great job.
