I did a review and used my Chi Spin N Curl for the first time on youtube with you last year and loved it & now that I have had a whole year with it it has become my go-to curler! I just bought this today and love it. I have a ton of hair so I did section it, set it at 330° and it came out nicely. I had gotten the BaByliss Curl Genius at Sally's on Monday and the damn thing tried to kill me. My hair got caught and started smoking!! Stay away from it! There is no temp control on it, the high is 430° and the "low" is 360°, and it only curls in one direction. It's junk. This is sooooooooo much better. Nice to see an experienced user give their tips and tricks. I had a few sections that did get caught since I'm a noob, but the machine shits right down and getting the hair out was painless and easy. I just finger combed through curls with my head flipped over and had great results. Thanks.

This was on clearance for $60 bucks for it at Shoppers Drug Mart. I couldn’t believe it so I bought it (I’ve used Chi before so I figured why not) and it was so easy to use and quick. Great tutorial in real time

what if your hair doesn't hold curls well? like right after you do the curl it starts falling back to straight?
That's how my hair is and these curls are lasting a few days!

Hey there!! Agh you will love your tool!! So I actually always sleep with my hair down (my hair dents very easily with a ponytail) the curl will naturally last for atleast 3 days because of the quality of ceramic barrel in the chi spin n curl!
To touch up all I do is brush it out in the morning, spray sections of my scalp (mostly along the top of my head and my main part in the center of my head) with dry shampoo, once that dry shampoo is soaked in (about 5 minutes after spraying) I spray texturizing spray all of my hair again and it looks as good as new!

Is this the 1.25 barrel or the one inch barrel also have u tried the lava version and do u think that one is better maybe? Thanks
Hey girl! I have not tried the lava version - just the mint green version. The curls will come out the same no matter which chi spin n curl you use - the lava volcanic curler is suppose to help with frizz so if that is something you struggle with you may want to try that spin n curl instead!😃 but in terms of the curl they are all pretty much the same
Do you have to wait for it to beep before you can release your hair? Maybe if you want it in less time? I have thin hair and worried about leaving pieces in the heat for longer than I feel necessary.
You can release your hair whenever you want!😃 the beeping is just for guiding and making sure you don’t leave it in too long☺️
Hi, My hair is thick and frizz , u do recommend higher temperature? Also u think is better i straight my hair , like i said my hair is very frizzy, thank u
If I were you instead of straighten it before you curl it I would use a blow dry brush so it gets smoothed out first but also gets volume! Also I would play around the temperatures to see what makes the best curl for you. The curl turns out different depending on the heat setting. Hope that helps!😘
I am always afraid that my curls will all come out if I brush my hair after curling. Is it the products that help prevent this?
Hey girl! The right products are key to having long lasting curls but certain hair types don't hold curls as well as others and if you have hair that curls typically dont last long I would avoid fully brushing them out after styling and just tassel them around. The products that I use in this video REALLY help make my curls last long! My curls for sure would last asmlong with out them!
Also use a diffuser on your roots so your curls don’t end up looking sad hanging off the side of your head

Hey there! Try teasing your hair! Grab a small-tooth comb and brush a layer of hair under your top hair to create more lift! I hope that makes sense

Have you ever tried alternating the direction of the curls? I'm very curious if they look more natural with this, or if same direction curls (like you do in the video) are the way to go. I can't find any videos where ppl specifically try alternating curls with the Spin N Curl. My Spin N Curl arrives tomorrow!
I have!! A well placed curl going opposite of the rest of the curls is super pretty throughout your hair! I would just stay clear of doing that right along your face since you want those curls to fan out! Agh so excited you get yours in so soon! Once you go spin n curl you never go back!🙈😍🙌🏼
Do you use thermial heat protection when you curl your hair with chi spin n curl
I do! I use the chi heat protectant spray or the raw sugar living pro heat protecting spray. They’re both fantastic! amzn.to/3OmQ41Q

How long do the curls last without the products?
4-5 days with just some dry shampoo! They really look great the following days with no touch ups from the curler!
Angelica, Just bought one and used it the first time this morning in my hair was either smoking or steaming? Or the appliance was smoking or steaming. Not sure that’s what should happen?!!
That definitely shouldn’t be happening! Make sure the heat is not too high!

This thing looks so easy to use but when I tried it, my hair would get stuck every time, and it would come out with some droopy ropey curls. even with thinner sections :(
It definitely takes alittle bit of time to get use to this tool! It all comes down to hair length and texture for placement with this machine. Everybody’s different so just give it some more practice! I know exactly how you feel🙈 my first couple of times using this tool my curls were not cute…😆

I just can't grasp the concept of curling your hair and using a brush to brush it out. Simply run your fingers through to keep the curl
A brush makes is smooth and fluffier, running your fingers through your hair keep it looking piecey
