- So this is my second Vlog - Im at Las Vegas at the largest Broadcast Convention in the world - NAB to report on DaVinci Resolve18 and a couple of other things that caught my eye. Editing on the road with my Sony ZV-1 (so some of the audio quality is lower than usual) and a ProArt Studio Laptop from Asus on Resolve.

I already know the Beta on Linux still can't do audio rendering with your video with usable codec for UA-cam. This why I had to switch Linux to Windows SADLY, Also all the other videos just show Surface tracking is that It? Surface tracking? Lol Why do almost every youtuber copy each other videos? At least yours was the show but covered the same thing as just about all the other video's I watched, I watched a lot trying to see what's new in the editor that will be good for window and Linux users. Sure hope I can use Linux soon. And no this profile I am using is not my UA-cam channel, Lol.

Loads of talent in one room. Really entertaining for us sitting at home. Wish I was there though. It must be cool for you to go to one of these and have that public recognition that you have built up over the last year or so. It is refreshing to have someone that understands the needs and wants of a colorist asking the questions of the industry people. Great job. After your last two appearances ( marc interview and video bomb on Cullens grade school ) I was a little disappointed that you didn't mention me in the video. lol - Look forward to the next adventure. Great seeing all the online people in person there. Have fun.

I haven’t seen anything regarding Fairlight in the new version. Have they given the ability to properly work with 32 bit float audio? Adobe audition allows an infinite amount of volume adjustment while resolve only gives 20db
How to make DCP for cinema I made DCP in DR 17 in cinema hall showing low contrast and other cinema showing deference what is a problem sir
Thanks Darren. Nice to follow. Question about the Cloud; if I understand when you buy the hardware you get the cloud storage included? But how does that work with the Cloud Pod? What is the amount? Theoretically you can attach any amount of drive data you want?
Hi. The hardware is literally storage, so a perfect NAS for your system. The connections on the back give you up to 10GB Ethernet to connect to the cloud. The amount of cloud storage you have is determined with your dropbox account. The blackmagic cloud is for your projects and proxies and is $5 per library even if you buy the hardware. You could just have 1 library for ever in theory. Hope that helps clarify.

No...you get hard disk space in DropBox.
m.2 is a type of SSD
Storage is stupid expensive.
No one is going to buy it, they will just buy synology or qnap for a fraction $.
Magic mask and surface tracker are in color ? WHY ? Colorists are compositors now ? Not much in R18 .
No new features for edit + fusion or delivery tabs.
