afghanistan was , is and only god knows till when - will be a fractured country - ruled by many(warlords) and conquered by none.
afghans are more loyal to their tribes than to their country - they'll take decades of peace before brotherhood can be achieved - but given their super friendly neighbourhood - it seems impossible.

He missed the point that taliban condrolled the road nerworks and routes to kabul through rocket launchers and guerilla force . . .that made it very difficult for afghan army to hold kabul . . Taliban leaders are only scattered fighters, they have a big challenge in governence, Doha agreement was not possible without Pakistan. . . The Americans tried to omit Pakistan once but, Taliban disagreed and fighting started again. . Unless they included Pakistan to conclude the deal.
