I'm waiting till aftee rhe game drops and reviews from dragon age vets personally . I'm not convinced until then. Hopefully it's a great return after a decade plus but I'm bot holding my breath .
What’s you idea of a “dragon age vet”? I’ve got well over 3-4 THOUSAND hrs in this franchise , 3000 in DAI , lots of the haters have been “long time DA gamers” I’m all in, this game is going to be great , you need someone to tell you it’s good?? Then you have zero interest in it in reality , if any one says “it’s bad” you’ll be “ I KNEW IT
@Daneplaysrpg well your incorrect despite what I written before . For one it's been ten yrs hoping for a gd bioware game . What I seen so far looks like a mass effect game in dragon age . Story is and characters is out till we see but it noy considering me or your time and decisions from origins and 2 is rough . That's like if mass effect four only considered what ending you got from the end of me3 . Also I said vets that played rhe game is the reviews om listening to, which means they will compel me to either get the game or not , I will be able to udnertsnd everything as rhem since I been playing this game since a teen back in 09 . Being on the fence to some folks nowadays mean being negative I guess . And if that's the case being positive before playing a game is toxic positivity too then . All is fair right ? Exactly . Let's see if we get a gd game or not , pattern says no but I'm down to be wrong .
@@ImarBenIsrael WA wanted Anthem (a multiplayer game) and the B made MEA, so they are a wash , Outside of only a few choices , most of them DO NOT affect the actual world , most are head canon things , yes , I would have wanted more choices to be brought into Veilguard , I want to see how the drinking from the well is handled and who went to rebuild the wardens , but the rest 10 yrs later , in the North , probably wouldn’t affect things , Mass Effect is unique, same protagonist, continuity if the same story , Dragon Age wasn’t that at all. Yes the game is more Mass Effect combat like , and I’m love that fact , I’m not toxic positivity, I just don’t see a SINGLE reason not to be excited by this game
@Daneplaysrpg it's nothing to speak about then if you actually believe it's noy a single reason to doubt thus game in any capacity. Gd day and hopefully the game is great 👍
EA/BioWare must be orchestrating these videos, because suddenly everyone is putting out these "everything you need to know" videos for Veilguad today. Not complaining, just an observation. VERY excited for the release! Finally, it is almost here!
I'm pretty sure you can change your skills at any time (almost like Tacticians renewal from DAI), but because your specialization isn't "locked" you can basically change it at any time. Just can't change Class/Race.
Free respec of specializations outside of combat. The only thing that is hard locked after CC are race, background, and base class (warrior, mage, rogue). Appearance can also be changed later.
you can respec at any time you want outside of combat for free. as well as changing your abilities around mid mission as long as you're outside combat if you suddenly encounter say darkspawn on a mission where you're sure you were only gonna fight Venatori
As an Origins nostalgia enjoyer, I do feel like this game is still Dragon Age even if people dislike some of the content that they have seen. DEI is unavoidable in the current gaming climate, and it is really the consumer to decide whether to ignore them or not buy the game. I am absolutely in love with the lore of the series as a whole and will be playing the game while ignoring things that bug the majority of the gaming community. For those that are curious, I will be playing as a Dwarven Grey Warden Rogue. I think that the dwarves will finally unveil their true powers hidden amongst the Deep Roads and lost to time. Harding is just a small example of this from her magical affinity she has recently felt. I think being a Dwarf will definitely play a large role in the story just like playing an elf did in Inquisition. Party members will be brought with me with the areas they fit. If I had to choose favorites, Lucanis and Taash are immediate favorites of mine. I'm not sure where my romance will lie at the moment, but if I had to make a choice, I would probably pick Harding mostly because she wasn't romancable originally and I personally don't know how to fathom the idea of my dwarf romancing another race like the Qunari. I am very cautious of Emmrich and Ballera for their close experience with the Fade. I do find it a bit interesting that the mages have a magic dagger as a secondary weapon. It makes me wonder if there will be an option to access blood magic again or if the mages in Tevinter are more relaxed to the practice of it. These next two weeks can't come any faster, I need to know where the story goes and want to see how Solas affects the Fade after taking down the Veil.
i played a dwarf warrior and elf mage in origins. then a rogue in da2 (liked the mage more but bethany was far more likable than hawke's brother). then a human mage in inquisition. don't know what i'll pick in the veilguard but i'm thinking an elf veil jumper mage for one of the playthroughs
@MADMAN401 In my own head canon, I feel like the Hero of Ferelden was an Elven mage or a Dalish Elven Rogue. Each play along with the story up to Inquisition perfectly with their ancestry lore as well as their ties to the Fade and Elluvians. Of course they romance Morrigan. I feel this game will be like DA2 for sure and I am for it. I can't not run without Bethany. Carver was so insufferable. I do feel like Hawke was a male rogue considering that the family in the prologue form the RPG trinity of Warrior, Mage, and Rogue. The romances in DA2 were so good, but I love having Merril as Hawke's love interest. She ties the Elluvian curiosity again. Inquisition is a bit tricky. I personally love the idea that the Inquisitior had a romance with Solas and just wants her love to change him, so they are probably a female Elven mage with her common interest in magic and the Fade with Solas. I do hope that Solas won't betray me once more if I have the choice to trust him or save him in this new game.
I don't see how. How can you have played since orgins and your happy with losing every thing you did since then. I really just can't under it. Seriously you seem happy that they took the decisions you made for years away. That's a big deal. I just see someone saying I'm happy they deleted all my save dates and save data and forced me to be happy with it. I'm so happy they did that to me. Especially if you played for hundreds of hours but hey I get it some people don't mind if things are took from them and wouldn't even address. I'm just honestly confused as to why that's enjoyable. That's my only question. Are you actually happy they deleted world states and your cannon? 2 more weeks until release. Im Hopefully it's not that bad as it looks....
@@bombyo3634It isn't totally gone, though. Yes, it isn't necessarily mentioned in the lore of this story or has such a consequence. They really hardly ever changed much even in the previous titles. I would say the biggest choice is whether or not you or any of the Wardens perform the Dark Ritual with Morrigan. I am more accepting of it, because it is something I have already experienced. DA2 didn't include very much about Origins or Awakening, and looking back, it was an excellent narrative choice. I wouldn't have become as invested in Hawke if I became more involved with my previous character or party members. The games has hardly ever involved world states to dictate the direction of the game. They are only background mentions for lore reasons. It hasn't been something to guide my interest in a Dragon Age game. I am there for the current experience and to see how things turn out the way I want them to based off the vast love and knowledge I have for the game. Take this as an example, I can kill Lilliana and Flemeth in Origins, but they always appear in Inquisition for a random and jank reason because of the way they have their story directed. Based off some of the info I have gathered, this team is trying to run a soft reboot and make things a little easier. They don't want to create more confusion and repeat the few mistakes Inquisition faced. Now, a slight quarrel I have with this game is the lack of the Inquisitior. I have heard you are able to meet them at some point, but it just feels like from what we have so far that you are step in leader. I do hope this game is able to continue my love for the game world even if there are some creative choices I don't agree or appeal to.
People complaining about the forced woke stuff in the game… look I get it to an extent but it doesn’t mean the gameplay or the story will be shit. I’m going into it with an open mind and I am excited for it.

I know am going to play, I am a DA fan after all, need to see it. I am just prepared to be disappointed. With the game as well as with the audience, on both sides of the opinion spectrum, so to speak. First will whine about the optional "woke stuff" instead of concentrating on the real issues of gameplay, design and storytelling. Others will just be all fluffy and complimentary about it, though, I admit, these folks bother me kinda less, they don't spread hatred at least. Don't know why I am even typing this comment... I had been dreaming of a truly great game, before that first trailer came out, and my hopes have been declining ever since. Now I am just kind of sad. I still hope at least the city Minrathos won't disappoint. If it's at least almost as interactive and rich with content as Baldur's Gate in BG3 was, I will consider my money well spent.
Yeah, I don’t know why the haters are focusing on stuff that doesn’t matter like top surgery like come on they’re acting like more options in an rpg is a bad thing, especially with rpgs getting dumbed down recently. I’m more worried about the writing, the combat looks fun, I loved the combat in andromeda and did lots of different hybrid builds, though I think the RPG class expression in Veilguard looks a bit shallow, I wish there’ was nature magic or shape shifting or something, also the absence of blood magic though maybe it’s just the mage specs that are a bit disappointing to me
I sympathize with your sentiment as I have waited for so long for another Dragon Age… However, once you see a list of all the lead talent that’s left Bioware since 2015 then it’s just not possible. This is the Mass Effect: Andromeda Bioware. I think that after release this Dragon Age: Veilguard will age as well as Bethesda’s Starfield did and for similar reasons. The people they let go were the talent that made the Bioware name based on story. That’s gone now.
@@trevorsebastian1341- They even took the spiders out! This will be zoomer lite Mobile phone level of gameplay and story. It’s where EA thinks the money is! I honestly hope I’m wrong but…🫣
Hmmmm. It’s closer to inquisition. Inquisition is very bright compared to origins and 2. Which it makes sense because these two games are way more fade/magic focused than origins and 2 were. They also have much larger scopes than the other two could achieve due to technology. I think Veilguard will be a happy medium between the older and newer games.

For everyone who is mad at the people who arent getting the game. These people loved dragon age, they played it as a kid, they waited years for this game, they watch all the movies, read all the books, theh brought it on consoles and pc and told others about it. They loved it. They played it 3 times with hundred of hours and even dreamed of this game. To have all that took away is a horrible feeling. Heard an npc actually refer to himself as a non-binary in dialogue, and to be referred to as they/them. Ngl it's a complete immersion breaker. Fantasy worlds should not be forced to adopt the lexicon of modern wokeness
@@redbloodreaver4935 besides, Bioware showed they can make a great representation. Dorian is my favorite companion of all the series, I like how his story was made and how his sexuality is a part of his personality, how his experience in regards to his sexuality affects his personality. There was a literal trans-guy Krem with an interesting story including his struggle and how it affected him. Heck, Maevaris Tilani looks like a great and compelling woman with strong personality. Honestly, I think if Bioware wanted more representation for real trans-people, they should have made Mev a companion, or an advisor at least. The thing is, developers were able to bring compelling "non-traditional" characters on stage and it didn't feel like they were shoving any agenda down your throat. @@sonnenblumefrau2048 That's only talking about the choices from previous games I think they are talking about the choices you make in DAV through out the story.

Only two weeks to go! All aboard the hype train 🚂🚂🚂
I pre-order the deluxe edition so excited! First time I'm playing dragon age game or anything like it it's going to be a great fun time experience on the 31st!
Thank you for the amazing video. It helped me a lot and I can't wait to play it in two days. We need more vídeos like that instead of all those fan boys s... around these days.
I'm excited for this game! Let's gooooo
Great stuff , good video , this game will be so good, combat looks fantastic , this story will be the best of the franchise 🤘🏼
i'm going to get a central line IV filled with the tears of all the guys flocking to the comments crying about the game being ruined. then i will live forever
@notmeowse its the hints of insecurity that really add to the flavor profile for me

Let’s go!!! If you’re here to doomsay, get off now. The train has departed!!!

Yeah, human probably. I'm definitely going to play as a Qunari freak. It's Halloween after all.
@@happyjonn9242 Humans are traditionally the most played race in most fantasy games, if you have a choice, people are boring that way.

This week gonna do fasting 😂
I am going to be extremely disappointed if the game doesn't have two-handed swords. My disappointment would be immeasurable and my day ruined.
I just hope they fixed the writing, I’m only excited for the gameplay. The story telling is giving me very little hope and I’m praying to god the bad writing is just the script from an earlier stage of development
It's not looking good yea 😐 Let me know what reply you got from Deity of Gaming after it's done 👌
I feel this I hope it’s just a slow start and that the rest of the game picks up the quality
I'm still trying to keep some hype up for this game, but everytime I go on steam thinking I can discuss the game with others there all I see is "I hope this game dies on launch" "This game is woke, if you buy it you are part of the problem" "Why you are a moron for buying this game" and other overly negative things. Steam has actually gotten so horrible with this game I'm more surprised steam discussions hasn't been closed down at this point. It's nice to see others actually looking forward to this game.

I am still gonna play the hell out of this game and have dozens of runs planned but im crushed the choices omit the divine and all of origins and 2. I just wanted codex mentions of my warden and hawke and if any old characters show up a dialogue line about them. Guess if theyre not there they cant be dead right? Maybe we can get a codex dlc sometime.
You said Lance Harding instead of Lace Harding. LMAO
Wait so the character will look injured the whole game? Or just the beginning part?
I plan on pre-ordering standard when it’s back in stock! I’m gonna be a human rogue grey warden ❤
Overall I like how the game looks, I just have a couple of issues, like only 3 party member and 3 ability only , and limited option to import from inquisition but besides that the game looks good to me
I'm waiting till aftee rhe game drops and reviews from dragon age vets personally . I'm not convinced until then. Hopefully it's a great return after a decade plus but I'm bot holding my breath .
What’s you idea of a “dragon age vet”? I’ve got well over 3-4 THOUSAND hrs in this franchise , 3000 in DAI , lots of the haters have been “long time DA gamers”
I’m all in, this game is going to be great , you need someone to tell you it’s good??
@@ImarBenIsrael WA wanted Anthem (a multiplayer game) and the B made MEA, so they are a wash ,
Outside of only a few choices , most of them DO NOT affect the actual world , most are head canon things , yes , I would have wanted more choices to be brought into Veilguard , I want to see how the drinking from the well is handled and who went to rebuild the wardens , but the rest 10 yrs later , in the North , probably wouldn’t affect things , Mass Effect is unique, same protagonist, continuity if the same story , Dragon Age wasn’t that at all.
Yes the game is more Mass Effect combat like , and I’m love that fact ,
I’m not toxic positivity, I just don’t see a SINGLE reason not to be excited by this game

They are allowed to post as long as it's in within the rules. They are not paid by EA/BioWare.
I noticed that too, there were like 5 of these today lol
This happened to every upcoming release especially when it's an established franchise.
@@sonnenblumefrau2048 Who said anything about being paid by EA?
can you respec your specialization or is that locked in when you choose it?
I'm pretty sure you can change your skills at any time (almost like Tacticians renewal from DAI), but because your specialization isn't "locked" you can basically change it at any time. Just can't change Class/Race.
Free respec of specializations outside of combat. The only thing that is hard locked after CC are race, background, and base class (warrior, mage, rogue). Appearance can also be changed later.
@@Bemused247 Cool, cool because I hated that about DAI where you couldn't change your specialization later if you ended up not liking it as much.
you can respec at any time you want outside of combat for free. as well as changing your abilities around mid mission as long as you're outside combat if you suddenly encounter say darkspawn on a mission where you're sure you were only gonna fight Venatori
Can players change/tweak their character looks later in-game?
If it is, it will most likely be through the black emporium like the other games.
Any idea if game has puzzles and/ or a mini game
Yes, it has hold your hand puzzles. Enjoy.
It has minipuzzles, and you can turn off the "quest help" indicators.
Not saying I won't give this game a chance, but at the moment 'shop' is not the first thing that comes to mind when I hear Veilguard
Took a while to see the "Mage" specializations. lol.

The only thing i need to know about this game is that i won't spend any money on this woke dumpster fire. That's all.

They played it 3 times with hundred of hours and even dreamed of this game.

@@nytesla_punk3327 we will see soon enough how good it's doing. I would like to be wrong, but from what I seen, vailguard just looks like forspoken 2.
I don't think the game will do very well, but I'm getting a free copy so I'll play it
Why are you even bothering with this joke of a Game
What is inclusive about dwarves not allowed to use magic 😂😂😂
that’s established lore. Dwarves can’t use magic but are really resistant to it. Been that way since DA:O
Yeah and scars is scars and not an extra point with surgery scars...and by the way it is a fantasy world with healing... on top the qunari represents to you as non binary in fantasy world. I rly love this
...
@@nikolatorgrossfeels like you just want to find reasons to justify not liking a game you already didn’t like to a bunch of strangers on the internet that for all yo know could be bots
@@nikolatorgross
Taash isn't non binary. She's a girl. And goes by she/her.
I hope you realize you legit outed yourself someone who doesn't care about this game series and only here to stir up drama. It's hilarious how easy yall out yourselves
no thanks.. i play a Baldurs gate for the 20th time before i touch this crap.. i just wanted to finish the damn story from Inquisition.. and now i cant because i get aids playing this piece of crap..

Just go away, you are part of the problem

Any game that releases and pushes ANY sort of DEI will not make the money it was supposed to. People are done. Wallets closed to any ESG game.
We're not just going after games...we're going after companies that push the DEI agenda. Gamers will not buy anything from a company that pushes an agenda in their games or their hiring.
Dragon age 2 had better looking qunari …I was the hugest BioWare fan pre EA days… started after EA on a slow downward slide and lately it’s just a plummet into top scar absurdity…if all the BS can be ignored and the story is good I might get it I will wait to watch footage and make a judgement then
FYI , if it wasn’t for EA, BioWare wouldn’t exist, learn the facts
@@Daneplaysrpg lol BioWare was around in Edmonton where it started long before EA was even in the picture
Im well aware , do you have any idea when BioWare was sold to EA? Hmmm? So you don’t need to look it up, 2007 , BioWare has been pretty damm successful since then I’d say
@@Daneplaysrpg I guess that would be your opinion… mine is that the best days would be bg 1 and 2 … neverwinter nights …jade empire etc
So Mass Effect and Dragon Age weren’t successful, or you just didn’t like them?
Best way to prepare for the launch: If you pre-ordered; Refund. If you haven't; Don't buy it.
Truth
how to prepare? make some popcorn, grab a soda and watch this game sink in the fade...
Only thing you need to know is that it's going to fail.
its going to fail if it is really bad
Eh, it's better than Inquisition.
@sunnyesparon7068 why exactly do you think it will fail? Do you have anything remotely intelligent to back up that statement?
@@banjomir519I guarantee you they don't.
Yeah...I'm playing it. Tough nuts.
Cannot wait for this atrocity to fail and 'not meet sales expectations' then go on 50% off a month after release 🥲
Exactly what Bioware deserves.
I think they can finally close their shop after this one 🙄
What a waste of 2 by the masses beloved franchises to be sacrificed to the DEI-choppingblock.
A choppingblock that has deteriorated and even ended many franchises across all forms of entertainment lately 🤕
the problem with this game is that there are enough spineless cowards to carry this game. It wont probably meet an utter failure like concord but make enough money to tally the sheets and never speak of it again
i heard terrible things about it. I changed my mind about this game. Not gonna buy if
Can’t have you think for yourself , you need others to think for in in a mob mentality
