    Brilliant Ken, and quite inspirational too. I'm going out to measure up my little car (much smaller than the Wrangler) to see if I could build something similar.

    Wow!!!! You've outdone yourself on this one. That was quite a rainstorm I say the tarp works great. I did not realize a jeep has a fold-out table. What a great idea. I was enjoying the morning walk until you showed the snake. You know I don't like snakes..lol.. Very inventive design. Simple but effective... I think our next Meetup should be a four-wheel-drive Meetup...😉🙃
    Hey Billy Joe did you notice Ken went through the big puddle wink wink..

    • @KennethKramm
      @KennethKramm  5 років тому

      Hi Bob! The tarp kept me dry and comfortable. The platform bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. Mopar/Jeep makes a fold-out table accessary; but it is very expense. Instead, I purchased a similar table thru Amazon for much less $

    This is so perfect, released at just the right time for me as I'm adapting my crossover for car camping ! You've given me great ideas to keep it uncluttered. I've seen so many YTubers showing their messy converted SUV or cars that I was thinking there's gotta be a better way. Anyways, thank you so much, you're always such an inspiration. Thanks to you I've discovered the great book Awake in the Wild, right up my alley. Cheers !

    I really miss that music video you used to have up, the one about the moon. It had an old timey song about the moon, its been so long i forgot how the song went. Maybe someone can remind me of the name so I can look that song up 🤞

    Back when I had my Trooper, Saturn Wagon and Toyota Matrix, I would sometimes put a single air mattress in them as a quick set up. Worked great when raining and I could deflate it and throw my tote back there and be on the road in no time. I do have a CJ-7 but even at 5' I still can't sleep back there.
    Spanish Moss, I got some this morning while at St. Simons Island to dry out and see how it works as tinder.

    Good times Ken! I created a platform in my 4Runner, have a couple of plastic containers that have little wheels so it can roll in & out with ease, because they are full of stuff! So, did you think about condensation? I didn't and just got back from 4k mile road trip, mold started growing! I just found that you can use shaving cream on the insides of your windows and it won't fog up...or you can use the antifog stuff too. I almost created a 3-4in PVC tarp holder and strap it to the roof but didn't have time to make it....Good idea on your method! CHEERS! Take care sir!

    Interesting. I don’t even cook that kind of desert at home. I make things like banana bread. We bought a Jeep in retirement but still have a truck and small Cherokee wolf pup. We retired in the area of where we used to stream fish etc. its to funny we are 20 mins from where we took 4 hours to drive to fish and camp. We do park the trailer for home base when my partners brothers come out up at the campground. Or we wil go back and froth a night or two in the week. We still had a cat then so no sitter here for her. But now she’s passed and the Jeep has us wanted to do some further over nights. Looking at mods for that. Was thinking just to put two lounge pads in back. I do like that fold down table. May have to order it.
