Fooster, I find the best time to butcher any animal is at 9pm, that way the four hours cuts into the night instead of the day time, so butcher then sleep the rest of the night, and you'll have the whole day.

The broken hunting rifle is a material used to "Craft" the hunting rifle in the tier 3 workbench, I can understand your confusion with the repair bench, that would make more sense lol.

Hey Fooster, thank you for another hour of entertainment! :) the hunting rifle is crafted: upgrade your workbench to lvl 3 and craft the rifle there, the broken rifle is part of the materials needed

I got the hunting rifle when I killed the sniper at the tower where you get the dog. I just bought the game last night and didn't know where i was. There were a lot more guards but I snuck past them and up the tower where I hatcheted the sniper from behind. It didn't have any ammo though.

I can't exactly put my finger on it, but your content is just so darn good.
The atmosphere, the occasional humor, the role-playing aspect.
The way you keep the story going and somehow manage to make me want to watch you loot stuff, cook, and just do all kinds of stuff in different games.
Life is pretty rough recently, but yeah, your content has been a blessing, screw Netflix and Hollywood, I absolutely prefer this.
There is nothing better than sitting down in the evening with a bunch of snacks along with a few drinks, getting cozy, and watching Fooster.

He seems like a charming lad, and also he kind of reminds me of the times when UA-cam was not as... Let's call it messy as it is now. So yeah, that's cool of ya lad.
Also, if that is you in your PFP, then darn man, that is one good beard.
When fishing, cast it as close to shore as you can. You have to be near the fish in order to catch it/grab it. There seems to be a bug where the fish never comes closer to shore if you cast it so far out. You should be able to walk a bit into the water to grab the fish. Don't go too far into the water. If you do, you will switch to swimming and loose everything. So, cast close to shore, hook it, reel it while slowly getting closer to the fish and you should get it...everytime. (Until your gear wears out.) It also keeps your gear from wearing out as fast.
Some questions,
1. Do other survivors have basic needs? Like food and sleep.
2. Can other survivors join you as a companion?
This series kind of feels like watching a really cool dude vlogging the apocalypse. I love it. Keep it up Fooster! I've been with you since 400k and I can't wait until you hit 1mil, you deserve it!

Honestly, what I really like about you keeping in some of the looting moments in the video is that It really helps keep the pacing well-balanced for the video, instead of it being too quick-paced when you just left them out. Jumping from one activity to another activity hours later or even days really makes me feel left out of the journey, which is the best part of what makes this series as great as it is.
I try and include anything major with the loot otherwise it can seem a little too repetitive. Finding a nice balance can be a little tricky because not every episode is the same but I’ll keep things like this in mind Faiz, thanks 😊
You are the only gaming channel I still watch, most are just too juvenile and clickbait riddled for me. You don't scream, make childish jokes, or exaggerate your reactions, neither do you run through the games at lightning speed. I love that you actually explore, roleplay a little, take your time and truly seem to enjoy the games, which makes me enjoy them as well.

Fooster when fishing ALWAYS keep the rod in the opposite direction of the fish to keep it from going further out. That’s why it seemed like you weren’t reeling It in
That fishing mechanic is so unrealistic to an actual fisherman. Lures don't go before line first off, I've got lures that were my grandfather's. Secondly bass are hard to catch, being known to throw a hook, but that fight time is absolutely ridiculous. It's still supposed to be a fun game in the end after all

@@sahilrahman5066 Absolutely this, Fooster cast too far out. You have to look down at the water just in front of you, then cast out, it only goes a short distance, which means the fish is easier to catch.
"That must have been a great white shark, that was an incredible battle" ah, first time fishing and already sounding just like a true fisherman. I remember fishing for sunfish and a catfish as big as a car got hooked. Damn fella got away from me though. I'll get my revenge one day... =P

Tip for fishing - do not cast the line far. The fish damages fishing equipment by each second passed while the fish is still in the water. Cast it in immediate front of you where you can reel it in fast (with RMB) so the fish does not damage your equipment too much because some fishing equipment is not found often (lure especially) nor it can be crafted as of now.

If I remember, from watching someone else some time ago, they always put Scott in an area full of trees and he'd go straight to work. He may have a radius that he scans and if there are no trees he just sits there. That fishing needs a rework, too. Yeesh.

Fooster you can repair the broken weapons at the workbench (lvl 3) and dont store precious items on the dog, if he runs away the vest will be lost and so will your items be. This was the case a while ago but dont know if this is fixed

Honestly the best channel on youtube, discovered less than a year ago and instantly got addicted and watched all the scum, mist, and horror games that fooster played
Fooster in this part of the video 17:03. You can’t repair weapons that are completely fine. The shotgun that kept trying to repair was at 100% and had no need for repairs. You could however repair your bow though instead of making more of them, but then that depends on how much it takes to repair a bow and the cost of making a new one. But congratulations on getting over 700k subscribers. I love watching mist survival and it’s my favorite thing to watch after a long day of work and it’s hilarious watching it. Especially the funny glitches.

The deer was actually an axis deer, which aren’t native to the US. But at least fooster knew about whitetails and mulies. I noticed not many game developers or gamers have too good of knowledge of what animals are supposed to be on what continents and in their native ranges etc. Whitetails should be the proper common deer species for this area in the game.

I've only recently found your channel and it's so worth it to binge watch , just lay back with my fave drink and a blanket now summer finally has passed. You keep the story and the finds and the game so interesting, that indeed it is distracting from the day to day stuff. For the hunting rifle you need to keep upgrading the workbench until you unlock the hunting rifle slot, then you can craft the rifle. If you look closer it says “crafting material” and it is already at 100% so it doesn’t need repaired. Love your videos! Don’t stop!
There's another zombie apocalypse that I know you'll love to add to the channel, it's called 7 days to die and it recently had a major update on steam. You can also play it with other people, we the viewers will love to see you play it.
I have attempted 7dtd a few times but for some reason I just lose interest. Maybe I need to look into it again
@@thefoosterchannel I’d recommend getting the feel of vanilla 7DTD, then playing one of the modded versions like Darkness Falls, Undead Legacy, Frostbite, the modded versions are so much better than vanilla and are so much more fun.
Fooster since the broken hunting rifle is a crafting material you might have to upgrade the workbench first. Then once you upgrade it further you’ll probably get to make the hunting rifle.

So I've been playing this a bit recently and I keep finding myself dying randomly while I'm in the truck. It's not because of hunger or thirst or any previous wounds. I'll get in totally fine and then die while driving. My assumption is that my body is clipping through the truck and hitting the terrain, or vice versa, and causing injuries related to falling. Anyone else experiencing this?

People mentioned that bug to me in episode 1, drive a little slower in most areas rather than full speed. Seems to have worked for me for now
That was fixed in the most recent patch(?), but as Fooster says, not treating the roads like the bloody autobahn (not implying that you do; I’ve just seen a few people drive recklessly and flip their truck frequently) and not speeding is helpful that.

I have been binge watching this series through some personal issues, and just like Fiskipoo's vids....it helps a lot. I don't always remember to like your videos (which I'm sorry for) because I binge watch them, one after another but I do really enjoy the Mist videos quite a bit. Also it's always gold when you and Fisk are playing together. Those Bigfoot videos are some of my favorite. In particular I love the video where you take everything in the RV right away and leave Fisk with nothing 😊

If you ever catch a fish in this game, do not make the dry fish. Use harvest to give yourself fish fillets, you should get 4 fish fillets, and cook them on the grill. The dried fish only gives you 2 meals.
In my opinion, fishing is way worse than hunting. With hunting you don't just get food, you get leather from the hide, and bio-fuel for the generator or tiki torches.
Scott will only cut down trees within 50 metres of the base, and he will stop if you leave the area. Same goes for any of the NPCs', they only work when you are nearby.
The only things the infected attack and damage, are the animal fences, your workbench and forge etc are safe from them.

congrats on 700k....love watching you and Fisk fumble around new games....on the question of steaks...I used to be a well done man, but tried MR on a 30 day hung Aberdeen Angus sirloin....never turned back...promise you it was best grill for such a gorgeous cut of meat
Fooster, you repair the rifle in the workbench. When you fish cast right in front of your feet. You won't have to reel much and it dosn't seem to matter as far as the size of fish you get. The truck is bad ass, you can drive right through the river!
