@@kandi_canel.5730 Purgatory is the enduring mercy of God. Nothing impure can enter heaven. Purgatory is a place of cleansing. Revelation in the final chapters has two groups of sinners: one to the second death; one living outside the City of God. Purgatory is a suburb with a laundromat.
I’m converting but have issues with anger, my mood can go from good to upset in an instant, feeling like I am incapable of loving others. I’m also struggling with white lies. I hope I will be able to overcome these issues so I can be in friendship with God.
The evil one is fighting against you! Jesus loves you, right now as you are! He will give you graces to love. None of us are deserving of Jesus' love. 🙏🙏🙏
1 Peter 3 KJV 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Who wants to carry a bag of dung around? Give it to Jesus who will use it to make His Cross blossom. He is the Fruit of the New Tree ✝️ through which gives us a share in the divine life. When He fills your days with His love you simply won't have time or space but to only fall in love with Him more and more daily the rest of your life. When these troubles come don't give them a second away of your time with Jesus; just keep on rebuking them, "Nope, I got to love Jesus!" Be blessed, Live blessed; bless others!
Some great Catholic resources that have helped me include Sacred Story aka the book “Forty Weeks” by Watson, which can be done alone or with a parish group. Also the John Paul II Healing Center puts on retreats and has audio and books that help us to discover the roots of our sins, and what it means to be Whole in Christ. Of course keep working on your prayer life, but don’t listen to the “just pray more and your problems will magically go away” mindset because it will just lead to more shame and frustration. God bless you in this journey! You’ll see such a positive difference over time!
Please pray for me!!! I've fallen away from the Lord. I have so much resentment, bitterness, anger in my heart. I don't want to feel this way. I want peace and love in my heart. 🙏💙
Praying for you sister, and please pray for me as well 🤍 I too struggle with these exact emotions, particularly towards some difficult family members, and like you, I also HATE feeling this way. I WANT to be loving rather than prickly. Not wanting to feel this way I think first step to repentance! Pray often and tell the Father exactly how you feel and ask for His help and Guidance. It's not an instantaneous change (God knows that these are difficult feelings/behaviors to work through), but over time, I'm seeing change and improvement happening. I feel like this is a particular challenge God allows some of us to go through, and I believe that if we hold strong in prayer and keep trying that the Lord will bless us through these trials.
Thanks Annie for sharing this, and for all you do to spread the good news and help us all to rise up in Christ. Another helpful perspective on these four harmonious relationships is that of expanded Awareness and the apparent split in our brain-mind. Evidence indicates that humans, and indeed other animals, have "split brains" with a left and right half. Most of us know that one half of the brain senses and controls movement of the opposite side of the body. But there is also a fundamental assymetry beyond this. ONe of the halves of the brain allows us to segment the world into separate pieces, groups and categories, allowing us to focus out attention on these and to manipulate or control them. This is usually the Left-brain, but this can be opposite in some people. It provides focused attention, a mindset that helps with hunting, gathering, eating, fighting, sex-drive, and pursuing material desires. In humans, this left-brain mindset is expanded into language, the use of tools, and abstract thinking - the abilities that separate us from other creatures and give us our worldly power (dominion). It is also notable that not only did our big brains make us capable of naming all the other creatures, it is also responsible for women's painful childbirth. Unfortunately, the left-brain's focused attention can only see isolated "things", fragmented parts, not the relationships and context that make up the big picture. Research shows that it can't even recognize the individuality and the living nature of other creatures. It sees living beings as mechanical objects, and has a deterministic, cause-effect mindset with no place for free-will. It is the basis for most of our science and technology. It is able to grasp "I-it" and "us-them" power relationships, and hierarchies that see people as object to be used in pursuit of a narrow goal, which allows us to wield worldly power. But it is incapable of love. It is the mindset of the Pharisees, and its power is what Satan offered Jesus. On its own, it can easily lead us astray into sin. Thankfully, our brain has another half, and it provides an integrated mindset. Rather than narrow, focused, fragmented attention to the objects of greedy and lustful desires, it provides broad and deep awareness of the big picture. In animals it helps parents recognise their individual offspring and kin, and provides feelings of affection and committment. At its most basic, it keeps animals from eating their own. It also provides big picture awareness of the world, including an accurate sense of space and time. In humans, this half of our brain, the right-side for most of us, lacks language and is not very good using tools with precision. But it provides big picture, relational awareness necessary for our perception of individuality, of beauty, of the sacred, and of harmony and awe. It allows us to love and to feel empathically, lovingly, connected with the Creator, His creation, other people and ourselves. As writer and psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist points out, this right half of our brain-mind is meant to lead the other half, the left half, which can be a very valuable servant. Now aside from the intellectual interest in the brain, what does this matter to our day to day lives, to the world, or to the pursuit of the four harmonies? I think it is helpful to recognise this physical, mental and spiritual split within our human nature, and that the Fall is the fact that our left-brain mindest has dominated us and our civilization for millenia. Jesus gave us practical teaching for how to correct this, and shift our mindset. It starts by focusing on the "log in our own eye", as it were, by learning to recognise when we have fallen into narrow, focused attention when it is not necessary to do so. The quintisenntial example of this is ager/rage, when we are consumed with self-righteousness, flailing around, and blaming "them", who are barely human, and unable to control ourselves or to even think straight. There are practical strategies for cultivating deep and broad, non-judgemental, non-controlling, humble, loving awareness into all four of the realms, as you advise. These include: contemplative prayer/mindfulness, self-care, being in nature/creation, avoiding stimulants and other intoxicants, not chasing money and material riches, not focusing on fear and the cares of the world, expressing our love and care for others and accepting thier gifts to us with gratitude. Basically, getting our priorities straight, and this means having a heart-centered mindset based on Expanded Awareness of what is - of reality and Truth. I have wondered if our right-brain is providing awareness of the Holy Spirit, allowing it to guide our choices and actions onto the proper path. It's simplicity is miraculous. Escaping the grip of focused attention and the so-called left-brain mindset, and allowing our Awareness to expand into the four realms, will inevitably lead us to understand that we, and all of creation, are sacred and good, and that God is with us, always.

I think your comment that not only did Adam blame Eve but he also blamed God was insightful. We still do it. When life goes bad it's God's fault. God obviously doesn't love me so I won't love Him right?
I’m still waiting to feel like I’m wanted by God. Truly wanted. It’s hard to develop a relationship with God without being certain that God actually wants that. Since God never responds to me when I do try talking to/with Him, I’ll never come to know that.
Stay safe everyone, God bless. ❤️ All people have sinned and are separated from God because of their sins. Jesus came to Earth, lived a perfect life, died, and rose again to pay the penalty for our sins. Those who repent and trust in Jesus alone have eternal life. Repent and turn to Christ because he's returning soon!! ❤️🙏
