  • This is a full breakdown of my Porsche 718 Cayman S, where I review all modifications and options spec'd for the car. I mention everything from my APR Performance tune, options from the factory, and modifications I have done myself through aftermarket means. I want this video to be helpful for those who are watching 718 Cayman S to learn more about the car. For those buying a 718 Cayman S, this will be very helpful as I dive deep into the details that can only be known by the car's owner. I also directed this video for those just watching Porsche 718 Cayman S car reviews. I want this to basically be a video that is everything you need to know before buying a 718 Cayman S.

    Nice overview. Normally not a fan of black as a color choice on cars, but I like the metallic shimmer on this one. You’re a lucky man, enjoy in good health.

      Very much appreciated, thank you! Black is such a hard color to keep looking clean, it’s like every speck of dust or any rock chips are just highlighted🙄. I appreciate your feedback and compliments! I hope you have a great day👍

    Dope review. 🔥 718. That colour really looks good in the sun. Picked mine up about 2 months about. 718s Guards red, PDK, with a options out the ass. Definitely looking for more of your content. So the tune added roughly 50hp...
    Can you open your trunks by touching front bumber and touching rear bumber?

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  Рік тому +2

      Thanks, I appreciate that! Guards red is a beautiful color too. The tune added slightly more than 50hp not sure exactly, though. 350 stock is crank hp while I’m getting about 400 wheel hp.

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  Рік тому

      Also no, I can't open my trunks by touching them I have to use the buttons.

      Thank you! I haven’t done the tcu tune.

    You’re not supposed to slam the trunk hatch closed. You pull it down gently until it touches and then you press it down with your palm to close.

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  Рік тому

      Yeah you’re right Im sure that it is easier on the car that way lol. I do it both ways, sometimes I let it slam a little to keep my finger prints off the paint haha. The front trunk requires that you close it with your palm though. It is made of aluminum and would terribly damage the hood very quickly.

    Do you have auto dimming folding mirrors , I think not? How is it without this option?

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  Рік тому +1

      I don’t have auto dimming folding mirrors. I live in America so I’m not worried about the folding mirrors. I believe parking spaces here are a lot more spacious than some countries in Europe. The dimming would be nice to have but I live in the country side so it’s not too often that I have big trucks with bright LED’s behind me👍

    Since the engine is inside so is it hot in the inside?

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  2 місяці тому +1

      Nope not at all. I don’t feel a difference compared to a normal front engine car.

    Nobody talks about prices! how much this car is costs?

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  2 місяці тому

      Nobody talks about price because Porsche has so many options probably. You can add like 35k just in additional options so it varies. The MSRP on this car was 78K with all the options on it. I bought it when it was 2 years old with 397 miles on it. It was barely driven so I got a good deal on it and def paid a lot less than the MSRP.

    400 hp to the wheel ?? Is that perhaps being just a bit generous ?? An extra 50 hp, to the wheel, is pushing it for a flash tune / electronic modification. Everyone talks about lots of more power but without a dyno, it is just speculation.

    • @allenstevens
      @allenstevens  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, it’s true. You can find the dyno sheet on APR’s website. I also go into a deep explanation here in this video. ua-cam.com/video/BIKdBpA1vEs/v-deo.html
      The idea is that the car was manufactured and sold by Porsche underpowered in order to maintain the hierarchy of all of their trim levels and models. With a tune you’re able to push the components to its limits. Porsche can’t have a cheaper car out performing a more expensive car. It would hurt their sales, it’s done from a marketing perspective. The upside is that tuners are able to make more power with a flash tune by simply adding fuel and increasing boost. Now obviously it goes further in depth than that but that’s the idea!
