Becoming a notary loan agent can feel overwhelming but getting started is a lot easier than you think!! I've been a successful, full-time notary loan signing agent since 2007, and over the past years I've learned through trial and error what works and what doesn't, and I'm going to share that information with you here on this channel!

I would like to know what type of companies pay the fastest, why do others take long to pay, can we be a mobile NSA if so are there any benefits of working on your own vs with a company, do we get certified with the nna or with notary2pro and what's the difference

This video was great! I just became a notary this week and am looking to become a notary loan signing agent. I will continue to watch your videos and also look for a mentor. I am in Dallas, Texas and I know there are tons of notaries just praying and keeping my mind open that I will become a great notary loan signing agent. Let me first say that you CAN do this!
I will soon be coming out with a mentoring / coaching program called Signing Agent ADVANCED, and in that training I'm going to go over the documents in depth as well as all of the parts of the Settlement Statement and Closing Disclosure. I will also go over how to approach title companies for direct business! It may be a little difficult (but not impossible) to find someone to mentor you in person in your city, you will just have to network and ask different signing agents to see if any are receptive. But, really, people just want a local mentor for "comfort." My upcoming program will teach you what you need to know to get started and be profitable!! 😉

Signing Agent Basics originally I found someone to be my mentor and she told me to become a notary and certified as a signing agent and they she would work with me. Needless to say she flaked on me when I did all of these things and didn’t take my calls or messages. Now I’m just looking to absorb all of the knowledge I can on my own.
This is really a very solo type of business. It is a huge commitment of time for another signing agent to mentor someone with no real benefit to the mentor. And some see other signing agents asking to be mentored as their future competition making them less likely to be willing to mentor others. Also, it's very frustrating to spend days / weeks / months mentoring someone only to have them not stick with it and flake out. Unfortunately, people tend to not value things that they didn't have to work for or pay for. While a live, in person mentor feels comfortable it is not necessary for success! If someone wants to do this and succeed they will! And it definitely sounds like you are the kind of person to stick with it until you achieve success! 😁😁😁

Kendra, YOU ARE A GOD SEND!!! I have served in full time ministry in South Florida for 14 years (in an executive leadership capacity, not ordained clergy). I became a notary upon encountering many members of our congregation who could benefit from the service (for which I do not charge). In April of this year, God blessed me with my first home (at the beginning of the shelter in place phase of the pandemic...another blessing!). I know nothing about the cost of living in TX; however, the cost of living in South Florida is NOT commensurate with the rate of pay (ESPECIALLY in the not for profit sector). In spite of that, God has provided; however, I have been praying for ways to supplement my income. As aforementioned, I work in fulltime ministry and it can be challenging to find a part time job because serving in ministry means I am accessible to our congregation 24 hours a day. On UA-cam, I typically look at meditation videos, home decor inspo videos (remember...new home owner here) and SOME beauty videos. NEVER have I ever looked at any videos that fit your algorithm; I did not even know being a "signing agent" was a thing...I had never heard of it. I actually found your video in my "recommendations" which I truly believe was ordained (we know how suspect the UA-cam algorithm is...but that is a different conversation ;-)). I will view each and every one of your videos including the free webinar. When my budget permits, I will register for your training program. Thank you for being an answer to my prayers. I live in Houston. Do you offer mentoring? I have taken the Signing agent course for NNA twice. Most recently in July. I have yet to find a dual tray printer at a reasonable price. Hopefully will find one by January. I have a few things going on right now and in the orocess of moving. Want ti try to get as mych help between now and then so I can feel confident that I won't make any unnecessary mistakes.

I’m so glad I found you on IG and now here. I’m already a notary in NJ and I’ve been in the mortgage industry for 20 years. I was always curious what signing agents do because I was usually the mortgage processor coordinating with the closing department that scheduled the signing agent for the closing. Lol I can’t wait to get started. I’m scared but this seems like the perfect avenue for someon like me. I’m going to go watch all of your other videos now. Have a great and successful New Year!

Hey Kendra, this might seem like an inconsequential question, but here it is- Who dictates where the signings happen? When we bought our home here in Texas the signing agent met us at my wife's job and that was fantastic and appreciated. HOWEVER, I'm super allergic to pets and the thought of going into random homes makes me shake head. Again, I know this might seem like a minor question, but I would really appreciate your insight.
Going into random homes is a part of the job, if you aren't comfortable with that then being a signing agent may not be for you.
The signers determine where the signing location will be and they often want to sign in their homes because it's convenient for them. As the signing agent you are generally NOT allowed to change where the signing location will be.
