One component overlooked in this video was his introduction to motorcycles by his uncle and how towns people rallied around Acosta the boy. Even the health system stepped in to evaluate the boy to determine his physical and mental state. The adult guidance and support is worthy of recognition.
He also purposefully trains on bikes that are not optimized. He'll move or bend bars or levers, use overinflated and/or worn tires and ride that as fast as he can, so when the edge comes off, or they've missed the setup, he can still be competitive. He wants to know how the bike feels when something happens and he has to deal with it during a race. He wants to know how to ride around things before he HAS to. I hope KTM can get a bit closer to the Ducs.
I'd be interested to see if you could explain some riders (other than MM) dominance at certain tracks. I'm thinking Rins at Cota, Tom Sykes at Donnington.
For sure he is a future MotoGP world champion. I have been following motorcycle racing for over 45, he has the natural talent and charisma needed to be up there with the top.
@purwantiallan5089 2027 will be a huge change. Ducati loses its main edge right now in data, electronics and aero. It's anyone's guess who puts out the best bike come 2028
Acosta got the dare and the balls to challenge the top riders and be at or near the front riders in many races, that I give it to him. Whether this would reap the rewards, only time will tell.
Ive been waiting for his MotoGP title ever since I saw him ride in moto 3. He has always had this exceptional stopping skill and in moto 3 this is very pronounced as stopping there is very tricky. And he outdid them all time and time again. He is truly phenomenal and to me the the next Marc Marquez
He's really the first Red Bull KTM rider who is the beneficiary of the depth to which Red Bull KTM have invested in winning MotoGP. Nobody confirms their investment more than Pedro Acosta; he's been their man from the start of his career and hasn't wavered and has been fully loyal to them at every step of the way. Not even Marc Marquez can claim that.
Firstly, he is courageous, confident, yet humble, listens and is 100% focused, consistent in his ability to optimize small improvements which over a short time sharpen his whole game
@@AXLCOKE13 There have been generations of tires which appear to work well on certain machines. Not so well on others... if you are aware of GP tire history. This time Michelin's apparent anti-tailgating design. Limits all manufacturers not able to clinch front row starts to pack purgatory or 1 second spacing. Of course the GP Reich also "regulates" tire pressure as if it is schedule Z drugs. Of course it is not tire singularity. Yet keystone is as keystone does Forrest.
I am using 110/70/17 tyre in 100/80 stock tyre ,but in real the 100 section is wider than 110/1 used (but 110 provide more grip with little worse handling )should i go to stock on front or upgrade radial front, because i have rear 150/60 steel radial 2 .my front telescopic suspension has sudden compression so in hard braking it make stoppie and not great feedback while trail braking (not smooth weight shifting ) what can be a soln ??
Me too, Casey also had a decent result when he was rookie, riding that LCR Honda, although his result mostly consist a lot of crash or DNF, but guess what, he jumped straight away with that Ducs and won it on the first try.
Hes pushing ktm too hard to keep up with ducati. I would say he got the talent and heart but the bike is holding him back and he pushed it too hard beyond ktm limits to the point of crashing He doesnt complain about ktm like those with gp23 gp24 jokes😂 All jokes aside. Hes riding harder and hes faster than binder and miller. Thats for sure
First of all, I'm both a KTM and a Binder fan. Pedro is faster than Brad, but he goes over the limit more often. I hope he, like Binder, has some loyalty to the brand that's done so much for him.
@jfu5222 done so much for him? I dont thinj so. He has done alot for ktm this year tho. He goes over thr limit because he wants to compete for podium and he cannot settle for being average. Thats a hungry and mindset of a champion.
There are 1 big problem, moto 3 and moto 2, aren’t propedeutical for MotoGP like 125, and 250 where for 500cc. Pedro will be the 4th competitor next year…
Once Marquez retires with potentially more titles than Rossi I think David Alonso will have a big say in who the next big thing in MotoGP is. His timing could be perfect when he arrives in the top class. Acosta is talented there’s no denying it. Could be a great rivalry in a couple of years time.
Why MM93 if he was on a Aprilia or KTM he would only be mid pack it's the bike MM93 is on that's put him where he is and I reckon watching it's got upgrades that other 23 bikes haven't
@@brianbowers-x9qI think the Ducati bosses know better than you. Especially considering they have the data and can see exactly what Marquez is doing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion though.
He’d have a lot more podiums under his belt already if he was on a Ducati. He’s talented enough to get that slow gas gas near the pointy end, I’m sure he’d do better on a faster machine.
There is Pedro, achieved podiums in his 1st season with an inferior bike and then there is Raul Fernandes, has one of the competitive bike but no podiums yet.
Acosta's nickname is "Gravel Trap" we have a betting game about how many laps he'll get before crashing out. He's the fastest rider to crash out of the race 😂😂 Does he not know that to finish 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th you have to finish?
Stoner was crashing a lot too when he was with LCR Honda. Sorry peeps but you HAVE to crash to learn! anything in life, learn from mistakes and the limits, I know! 😬🥴
He’s not THAT good. Compare him to Marquez or Rossi early in their careers. No where near there quality. However, give the guy time he is learning how much he doesnt know by crashing and learning like any new rider. He certainly isnt scared to push the limits and I enjoy how brave he is. But he is young give him time and one day MAY be in contention to not only win a race but maybe the series
The only problem is that he will waste some years to fight for championship. At the moment ducati has such advantage that no matter the skill difference it is impossible to win with another manufacturer, atleast until 2027 which is long time away. Quartararo is in the same boat and to me it is sad that such great talents don't have a proper chance to shine.
people are blind!!! is there even a discussion to be had?!?! he's proven everything dominated the lower catergories in his 2nd years\put veteran drivers behind him with the same bike in his rookie year IN MOTOGP !!!!! what else does this kid have to do?!?!!?!?!?!?!?
I’ll have a crack. Every segment in this video is an attribute that would absolutely help any rider improve their game, even if only at 10% of what Acosta is doing. Combine any two, or all, of what Acosta has in his back pocket and the level goes up. An easier way to understand it is back in the Rossi/Stoner/(maybe even Marquez) days, they were flying hang gliders with the skill of a fighter jet pilot. Pedro comes in during an age of alien spaceships with the skill as good (or better) than fighter jet pilots. There is adaption time in the balance and once he hits that stride the millions of casual fans will be changing their tunes towards Pedro and swinging from his nuts instead of the obvious fan favorite standouts.
Yes, Acosta is good and may one day even win the MotoGP championship. But he isnt even close to the grwats like Rossi (won the Championship his 2nd year or Marc, who won it as a Rookie.) Pedro hasnt even won a race and only has a few podiums, a couple that he was "gifted". That said, he wont win the championship, while he's on a KTM. The company is on hard financial times and that will be reflected in MOTOGP, more than elsewhere in the company.
He shows his potential on his first rookie year, beating all the KTM rider as a satellite rider. KTM won't let Acosta slipped into others team especially the Ducs. Compare him to Remy, Gardner, and Augusto, all of them mostly become a back marker, yet Acosta finish behind the top 4 Ducs and get 5 podium and 1 pole on his first year.
One component overlooked in this video was his introduction to motorcycles by his uncle and how towns people rallied around Acosta the boy. Even the health system stepped in to evaluate the boy to determine his physical and mental state. The adult guidance and support is worthy of recognition.
2025 could be Acosta's breakthrough year.
He also purposefully trains on bikes that are not optimized. He'll move or bend bars or levers, use overinflated and/or worn tires and ride that as fast as he can, so when the edge comes off, or they've missed the setup, he can still be competitive. kool I didn't know that!!
You could replace all the talk with: _he has passion_
No more words needed.
is young, has no wife, kids, mortgage, fear of death
😂
That kid is really special, you could see it immediately. I hope he has a great career.
You really nailed his top qualities and why he’s such a powerhouse on the track. Keep up the great contents, Dan! 💯
I'd be interested to see if you could explain some riders (other than MM) dominance at certain tracks. I'm thinking Rins at Cota, Tom Sykes at Donnington.
Casey Stoner in Phillip Island!!!!!!!!!!!! and in the rain!!!
@ yup
For sure he is a future MotoGP world champion. I have been following motorcycle racing for over 45, he has the natural talent and charisma needed to be up there with the top.
The fact he has all those at 19 is what makes him generational. So much time to continue to improve.
We could see Acosta move to Ducati in probably 2028.
@purwantiallan5089 2027 will be a huge change. Ducati loses its main edge right now in data, electronics and aero. It's anyone's guess who puts out the best bike come 2028

Whether this would reap the rewards, only time will tell.
He will be world champion someday.
if not next year the year after
depends on the ktm, fabio also has what it takes but the bike doesnt
It depends on the bike he'll be using, but I really wished he would destroy the Ducati domination and took that first WC for KTM.
This Rider doesn't see racing, as a job.
That mentality+other abilities
=Greatness!
Brilliant guy, even brilliantly explained..
I watched Pedro dominate in Moto 3, but he really shone in Moto2, its great to see him on the big bikes, great natural rider, future champ for sure
Acosta is the new Rossi, and 5:55 convinced me.
Your videos are awesome. So much information, very well presented and zero bs. Thank you.
Thank you 😊

20 year old kid... hope he keeps his head together.... not let money and fame ruin his future
Firstly, he is courageous, confident, yet humble, listens and is 100% focused, consistent in his ability to optimize small improvements which over a short time sharpen his whole game
Nice video
Imagine if that Michelin front tire-itis was not an issue for the GP field.
Me thinks Acosta may have scored a win or two 2024.
Hope he does 2025.
it's the bike not the tires!!!!

7:25 in… correct me if I’m wrong. But I believe Acosta rides more like the way Stoner rode the Ducati.
Me too, Casey also had a decent result when he was rookie, riding that LCR Honda, although his result mostly consist a lot of crash or DNF, but guess what, he jumped straight away with that Ducs and won it on the first try.
Pedro = The rock
He's going places. With the right equipment he can be dominant. It's all a matter of time
good one
Most team managers will tell you: you can stop them crashing, you can't make them fast.
Pedro Acosta in 2025 or 2026 could even have world championship winning potential, even though he is only on KTM Factory Racing.
Jorge Lorenzo should of been mentioned in the opening list of comparable riders.
thanks
Hes pushing ktm too hard to keep up with ducati.

My first thought: how can we apply these same things to our own professional lives?
There are 1 big problem, moto 3 and moto 2, aren’t propedeutical for MotoGP like 125, and 250 where for 500cc. Pedro will be the 4th competitor next year…
Acosta is highly skilled only that motogp bikes now overshadows the rider skills
It's all true, but I like him simply because it's always "All In" with him. He leaves nothing on the track, it's always 100%.
Once Marquez retires with potentially more titles than Rossi I think David Alonso will have a big say in who the next big thing in MotoGP is. His timing could be perfect when he arrives in the top class. Acosta is talented there’s no denying it. Could be a great rivalry in a couple of years time.

IMO
1.) Marc
2.) Stoner
3.) Rossi
If you know the bike they road, and how well they road them. You’ll know one guy always had to be on a top bike.

Best thing KTM could do with this kid is to keep him away from Ducati contracts
Is he that good ?
Yes

I dont see it
Not if he stays @ KTM
He is bad ass.

He's just missing a Ducati
Acosta will be the next Great… if not the Goat.
How is somebody good when they keep crashing, anybody can go fast, but not everybody can stay on.
Im confused onto why you this is a mini documentary about Acosta..This supposed to be a Life and Lean not documentary channel

The truth is much simpler. I just like making these videos. LAL has branched out from purely technical content 😊
He’s good but he ain’t Marquez
Not yet

Crash too many times
bastanini couldnt even turn that bike
you can put as much talent as you want at it. but if the Horse under him isnt competent . he has Zero Chance. he should go to Ducati 😂
How many MotoGP’s has he won .. 😂. KTM is set to kill off his Career next year like it always does ?
