John is right, Honda is without a project leader who understands racing. Honda is probably still using the race teams as a training program for young engineers, who don't understand the dynamics of motorcycle racing.
If the Honda caboose continues into early next year, heads will eventually have to roll. Yamaha seems to be making the right moves, for Honda it is still the dark period before the dawn. Very surprised Mir re-signed with them.
If you go back 35 years to the time of Wayne Gardner & remember how evil their bike was until the big bang engine of 92. Then the bike was more or less unchanged until it was retired in 2001. They found a working motorcycle by accident. Since the Moto GP era post Rossi they have just gorged out of ethereal talents like Stoner & MM making the bike look a WHOLE lot better than what they were.......
Like the way he explain himself. A very strong personality and no rubbish. Still is remembered the day Dennis Noyes present Kocinski to the public at Calafat, the weekend of the Superprestigio Solo Moto in Tarragona. Poor Dennis wasn't able to translate what John was saying, so straight and no political correction, and thanks God no one understand a word of english that day... 😂😂😂
It's all about priorities. Leadership talent has to be given, just he said, as much as engineering talent. You can bet the big JP manufacturers do not send their best leaders to motogp. Quite honestly they have bigger fish to fry.
Unless KTM closes the gap to the factory Ducs, Acosta will continue to be "almost there". Current KTM/Gas Gas might be equal to Aprilia or the 2023 Ducs. KTM does not have an advantage at any track on the calendar (we will see at A1 ring). His risk is wasting the two or four years on a bike incapable of winning the championship. He is at the top of the second tier of riders (behind Pecco, Marquez, Martin, Quateraro).
HRC engineers don’t have the skill set necessary huh? Maybe that,, plus the need for a right humerus rotated over 30° at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota this time round. I don’t hear Gresini complaining much😆 btw.. what do Mark Marquez and Freddie Spencer’s 1st yr in Moto GP don’t have in common? Pedro Acosta😂
Let's recap Kozinski's record. If I remember right he was quite a primadonna... A modern day Karen if you will... Let's see his insight into Honda's R&D department... Likely zero... Yet here we are he be flapping gums...

Great to see John again.
Very very well said all of it!!!!

Facts!

Acosta is receiveng so so much praise in the Media, al least here in Spain that i´m afraid it will backfire in his head.

All he need to do is take number 1 out of his 31 Acosta will be untouchable
I can tell you a big reason ... KTM. KTM is notorious for screwing up young riders with potential (Iker Lecuona, Remy Gardner, Raul Fernandez, ...)
Now JM 43 and BB 33 will next 🤔

Pedro Acosta😂
I glad someone else know about the Mayo clinic thing...Talk about being fired...does the doctor in Spain still have a job?
Acosta needs a good team and he will be a multi time champ. KTM chews up young talent, he needs to get out soon.
North Americans giving Spanish lessons on how to build up MotoGP champions...what a joke xD
I wish he was American…. 🤣. Foh.
Remember unboxing that helmit at the dealership, Most expensive Bell we ever saw. It didn't last twenty minutes.
Yea mate , what in the hell is a helmit 😮

Dude he has better idea than 99.9% of ppl being he was involved at top level
@@captaintoyota3171 You're likely right. I may have been too judgy. Forgot to check with my "live and let live" script. ✌
