- Here at Hireacamera we stock quite a range of sliders and motors from Syrp, so we thought it would make sense to talk you through the differences between the Magic Carpet and the Magic Carpet Pro, as well as the Genie Linear Drive motor and the Genie Tilt/Pan head.
You can hire the equipment seen in the video here:
Magic Carpet 2ft slider - bit.ly/MagicCar...
Magic Carpet Pro 2ft slider - bit.ly/MagicCar...
Magic Carpet Pro short track extension (ONLY compatible with Pro slider) - bit.ly/MagicCar...
Genie II Linear Drive - bit.ly/SyrpLinear
Genie II Tilt & Pan head - bit.ly/SyrpTiltPan
Don't forget that if you are not using the short built-in legs on the slider, then you are going to want to use one or multiple tripods (depending on how you want to spread the weight) to support the slider. In most cases, more tripods is better!
Apologies for the little moments of audio odd-ness, I was experiencing some strange interference when I was touching the sliders leading to moments of buzz here and there. Still, reminds me that I always need to double-mic everything! - Fin

Thanks for the clear explanation and differences between them.
what kind of lens do you have on your gh5 there?? Just thinking if should I invest more money into lenses for my GH5s or switch to Canon cameras
Hi there, it was the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Power O.I.S.
What kind of tripod head are you using with the Magic Carpet Pro? I've never seen anything like that before.
That's a Syrp Genie!
Those are Manfrotto Nitro heads. Looks like the original model N8s. The newer 608s are a bit better.
