Batman fanboys have never read a comic other than Dark Knight Returns.
Superman whooped Batman in most of their fights, and both Clark and Bruce admitted time and time again that it all depends on if Superman actually wants to win.

@nerdalert4854 Batman straight up lost the fight in Hush, Superman let him go because he had to save Lois from being thrown off of the Daily Planet by Catwoman.
The jokerized Justice League fight ended in a draw according to Batman himself, even the Justice Buster suit got torn to shreds by Superman.

Superman went evil, killed everyone, and left Batman for last to prove a point
But Bruce had planned for this, and used the doomsday serum.
Or in Tower of Babble (idk if that's spelled right lol) where Bruce's plans were stolen, and used to defeat Supes, along with the rest of the JLA.
There are multiple examples of Batman beating Superman outside of The Dark Night Returns.
I will agree though, it's not as one sided as many think
It will be a struggle for both heroes, especially if one gets the jump on the other

@nerdalert4854 Again, those don't count as wins either. Batman basically doomed himself in the process too since he's permanently stuck as Doomsday, he literally had to transform into a completely different character to beat Superman.
And the Tower of Babel story was Ra's al Ghul defeating an unsuspecting Justice League with plans that they never even knew existed. Those plans wouldn't be as successful against a prepared Justice League.
The match up is not close at all. Time and time again it was stated by both Superman and Batman that Clark could win whenever he feels like it. It all depends on Superman holding back.
