Candice the electrical cables through some random fireman's hose brought a nostalgic smile to my face. It reminded me of non conventional solutions I used whilst building my house. 20 years later there have been no dramatic visits from your fireman. So there's some encouragement for you. Now where is that piece of wood.
It gets worse as you progress. 😏 I have more rubbish lying around after 20 years than I ever did. I think its worth a fortune if I could just find time to sell it, just too busy working on the place. I am am being drawn down into the vortex of clutter.
The company Stihl make a quick fill nozzle for fueling up chainsaws. This thing is absolutely perfect for filling up outboard engines and it fits most canisters. It's not even expensive. Great video as always!
Hi Canice, we watched this video while we were cruising down the Grand Union on our boat Nowhere Fast. Made us get around to doing some odd jobs on our boat. Thanks for the video's. :)
Thanks Will, when I was researching calorifiers and pressure relief valves, your video on the subject popped up. When I saw the fluffy insulation under your bed I thought, great minds think alike!😂
No wonder you needed a week off. You got a lot done, including great editing. Your glasses are looking ….nice. Yeah for the welding, no 🔥 😢. I am still amazed that the vinyl on your steps is in such good condition. Good idea with the light at the top of the steps. Your shower dance was marvelous, and certainly should entice people to subscribe. Great find at the Timber Yard. Love the window ledge, very fancy. 🥳 Klezmer music 🥳🎼 The Moorhen looked like she was having the kids helped enlarge their home. Love the drone shot. This was like a festival. Thanks Canice. Have a good week. 😊🤗 Kathy
My glasses no longer fall off my face! 😂😂😂 The work didn’t stop, just the editing… I had a boat safety inspection and there was a few things I had to sort out, to get that. Linda passed. Now I can push on with the renovation…. I just had two day with the folks in Ireland. And they are really well. Managed to avoid the heat wave in London as a result… the plants might be dead by the time I get back! 🫣 They’ll be fine…. I came out one day to find a Herron standing on their nest and the coot and her chicks disappeared. They returned the next day safe and sound….
@@canicebannon YEAH 🥳 Linda passed inspection and your glasses are now permanently attached to your face!! That is great news about Linda and the BSI. I am so glad to hear that you were able to visit your parents and that they are doing well. We had a 5 day heatwave here, never had the need for A/C before, but now….. 🧐 I had to look up what a coot was, glad the heron didn’t evict them. Let the reno resume! 😊🤗 Kathy
Yes! And I’ve kept almost all of the fixtures and fitting which will return… I like continuity. For example, the Captain C Kabel 8 ton sign on the outside is vital piece of history.😂😂😂
Good evening Schipper Candice, yay this is a circle ............ I am not sure that would be able to describe what i just saw in this video -- but anyway - you made me grin for 22 minutes and 14 seconds --- just one question, if you allow me: Would you want to sail that ship - or whatever you call it in the near future? Thanks for the upload - and all the best!
Yes the whole point is to sail! But first I need a shower…😂 I have everything to sail including the rigging and sails… Linda is being built for comfort and not for speed…😂
All those parts, cables an planks in cm, mm, inches, one eighth of an inch… how you juggle with all those details to go finish one part of the puzzle that will end up to become your home. I hope you write down where you put all the parts (and how) in a diary.
@@canicebannon well at least you have all your videos stored safely on UA-cam and I guess some extra footage. So it will only be a question of answering ‘when did I build that?’ and afterwards and watching yourself having eureka moments or remembering those 😃. And also the very qualified advice You’ve got from your followers you followed 😂
I move into my 1920s barge on Tuesday - I wish I had just some of your plumbing/carpentry skills. Need to get cracking on to the advisories as soon as I move in. Have you got a date in mind as to when you'll have it all completed?
@@canicebannon that's understandable. I was introduced to one of my new neighbours last night. He was very keen for me to see the renovation work he'd done on his approx 200ft? barge a giant dance floor all for him with an array various Japanese fountain taps behind the bar. Lights and coloured water all controlled by Bluetooth- impressive but too gadgety for me. He's going to build an additional floor. I'm just happy he took the mattress the previous owner had left behind. He also has no timeline. Think I'll make a spreadsheet titled 'Need to stop working to a timeline'.
@@chrisfryer3118 Aparently only sea turtles visit the UK's shores. This looks like one that's not supposed to be there. I'm not sure what species it is, but I know it's not a sea turtle as they have flappy flippers.
@@chrisfryer3118 Us Dutch don't use the term Terrapin, it's just either a turtle or a sea-turtle, depending on the shape of the feet :-). So I didn't recognise the term, I thought you were refering to an individual species of turtle. Turtle, tortoise and terrapin are generally used in both British and American English, but used for different groups aparently. And then other countries have their own names for them. Dutch doesn't use tortoise or terrapin! We only have Schildpad (Shield-toad) for all turtles and Zeeschildpad (Sea-shield-toad) for the ones with flappy feet.
@weerwolfproductions interesting. I was aware of german differences of slugs/snails, but this adds a further dimension. The turtle was probably a release into nature after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle craze had run its course.
You're making great progress, Canice. I admire your great range of skills and inventiveness. Keep up the good work, Joe F
Thanks Joe!😀

Yes, it's a screw on attachment, I find very useful for my brushcutter & chainsaw.
I did have one and it went missing. Although, just looking into the funnel you can see the level rising. I could have just done that!😂😂😂😂 But no… 🤣
That is one complicated jigsaw puzzle but a very beautiful picture is starting to emerge.
It’s the boring prep work… the good stuff will start appearing soon. 😀
Your attention to detail is phaenomenal and all as sophisticated as has been the built of the Titanic, for shure it is; always a pleasure to watch!
I am trying to emulate the period.
Think of the success of the video if Linda sinks on the maiden voyage!😂😂😂

Good deal on those oak profiles 👍The interior will look classy and match the age of the boat perfectly.

Those odd jobs certainly move things along…that oak trim was a great find. Have a great week fella 👍

Looks like a good mooring spot. Great progress and foraging at the woodyard. Plus very well captured and edited. Cheers from the sideline in Bali.
