Yet another reason why Devon is one of my largest role models in life. I don't care how amazing his arm-wrestling accolades are; they are nothing when compared to how good of a father he is. Look at that amazing family. Look how much you all trust and love him. I can't even imagine the amount of strength, discipline, self-control, and courage it takes to be even half of the man and father Devon is. Your husband is the sole reason I started arm-wrestling, Jodi. I work a retail job maintaining the most pointless and hopeless life with nothing but eating, sleeping, and watching TV to make the days pass by bearably. I can't tell you how many times I've felt like an absolute loser.. but then I'd see Devon online doing all sorts of amazing things, and I've always loved watching him compete, but man.. when I see the type of father he is.. it teaches me that the same reason he is a great father is the same reason he's an incredible arm-wrestler. I had that realization, and I decided to start living by his example as a man. I finally started living for myself and striving for something. My goal is to be the strongest right-arm 165lb puller in the entire world, and I've just begun my arduous journey. I know now and have hope that not only will my journey be fruitful, but I'll be a better man and husband as a result. Wow, this is encouraging to see. As a younger guy, I see a lot of people struggle when it comes to maintaining healthy relationships and especially families. It’s really inspiring to see this and see the love and commitment you have towards each other. It makes me happy to know marriages like this exist out in the world.
