Batfleck is the definitive live action Batman. Keaton and Bale were great but they have nothing on Affleck. Let's hope Pattinson can be half as good as Affleck
@@rushikeshgondkar2438 Thank God they do because the fans are complete idiots. In the late 80's Warner Bros. was peppered with angry letters about Keaton's casting which went on to be great. Then they angrily reacted to Heath Ledger being announced as Joker and that is possibly the best acting performance in a super her movie ever. More recently they hated Pattison being cast and that movie is one of the best. Meanwhile, these Affleck films are just ridiculously terrible and stupid.
I know everyone makes fun of the scene but i liked the Martha scene. It’s very good. It shows that Batman is still in pain over the death of his parents and the more he thinks about that night, the angrier he gets. It was a traumatic experience and he lost his mind like he was having a PTSD attack. Amazing.
The Martha scene is such a meme, but also such a powerful scene at the same time. I know the significance of that scene, it’s not about them sharing the same mother’s name, it’s about Batman realizing that he was about to become someone he tried so hard to fight , the one who killed his mother. The name Martha was only a trigger, not the whole reason.
Remember, Batman wanted to kill Superman because he saw a danger for mankind if he goes wild. He willingly wanted to become a murderer just for the sake of saving mankind. For me this moment it's more about Batman realizing that this guy had a mum, who loves him, and that he loves his mum, and that Superman is indeed still Clark, who behaves like a human and loves mankind. Why kill such a powerful being which is dedicated to help mankind?
Am I the only one that picked up what Clark was (probably) trying to say, around 3:29 - "You're letting him kill Martha", but after that. Kind of a choked khhh, like he was maybe trying to say Martha Kent?
i love how batman was holding the sink like it was some sort of super weapon. maybe he heard musk delivering the line "let this sink in" and was inspired
This Batman and the story is based off Frank Miller’s comic and the animated movie from years ago - search “The Dark Knight Returns” and you’ll see it; Batman comes out of retirement and fights Superman and the Joker one final time.
Listen closely its "you are letting him kill martha" Basically reminds him of the thug who killed martha, his mother. And he realizing that he is becaming that thug. Batmans goes "why did you say thet name ?! " prolly to make sure he is not getting manipulated. Lois clarifies its his mother and then batman loses it cuz he was gonna deny another child his mom like he got denied... The whole reason of his existence ... To stop that from happenning to anyone else.

@@DarthFattest i have no idea who you mean by "they" if youre talking about the cast, then they said that superman was being nice and thats the only reason affleck survived pretty much.
I would say that superman was actually trying to kill the bat. Before this fight superman told his girlfriend he was going to ask for batmans help, but if that didn't work then he'd have to kill him.
People say this Batman was too dark, but what do you expect if this Batman has being fighting for 20 years in Gotham. God knows what this Batman has seen in that time
@Kanley West yep, among Batman's gadgets is the "stick my feet so securely to the floor that this huge centrifugal force won't slide me". He just has to remember to deploy the "reinforce flooring so it doesn't just peel off on my boots" gadget first.
I like how this fight just shows that Batman is no longer that hero and he’s now a true villain . That Batman who had empathy and cared about the citizens of Gotham and the belief that criminals can be reformed has been locked away by his dark side, his Batman persona. He harms the criminals and kills them and he doesn’t seem to care about the victims as much anymore, but when Clark says Martha, he suddenly realizes that he’s become exactly or even worse then the man who killed his parents. So by the end he starts changing back to his old self again. Sure he still kills people in the end of the film but he’s back being the Batman who protects the people and in the end with Lex, he doesn’t brand him. He’s no longer the judge, the jury, and the executioner. As much as I don’t like Batman killing people, I like how Zack illustrated this dark idea in this film and I hope in the ZSJL, he becomes fully the Batman who never kills again.
This is what I don’t like, Bruce Wayne is the only character that is incorruptible. A man with a code, that he almost never breaks. Even in the comics he maintains that persona, even if he manages to break it one or twice, he always shows remorse and regrets. This cut of Batman is vengeful and filled with rage and murder. That’s not the true Batman
@@Annonymos118 Thing is, there are plenty of versions of Batman that kill and don't feel regret for it. In the comics, Batman is indirectly and at times directly responsible for the deaths of countless people, because he keeps the Joker alive. Realistically, Bruce would eventually change his ways after losing so much, he would start to think "Maybe killing isn't such a bad idea." Alfred in this movie actually addresses this problem that Bruce has, that he's changed and that he's not the hero he used to be, that he's been corrupted (Batman is just a man after all).
It only makes sense if you assume Clark is a moron. He keeps saying “wait, you don’t understand!” but then he never actually explains. He just fights, and then acts shocked when Bruce fights back. And “save Martha” means nothing. If this was really happening, he’d say “save Martha Kent.” There are a lot of Martha’s in the world, and he STILL hasn’t communicated to Bruce that there’s a hostage situation in progress. If he’d just taken two seconds to TALK, the whole scene could have been avoided. But instead he fights while insisting he doesn’t want to fight, he makes nonsensical statements that compound the confusion rather than clearing it up, and then he desperately cries out with just enough information to confuse Bruce without actually doing enough to “save Martha.” If Lois hadn’t shown up with her Basic Communication Skills, both Clark and Martha would have died. For no reason other than, “if we’d written the scene competently, we couldn’t have had this badass albeit pointless fight scene!”
@@alexanderwinn9407so even if the scene DID work and batman realized that clark was a man with a mother named martha just like him making him realize he’s about to kill a person, against everything batman stands against, the scene is immediately ruined when batman fuckin machine gun turrets like five dudes in the mf batplane literally the next scene
Because superman wouldnt say save his mom cause he knew batman wont save a mom of an alien,so he separate himself with his mother by calling a human name.

You guys don't get it don't you. The reason why batman reacted like that when superman said her name was because it clearly reminded him why he became the batman in the first place. It made realize that killing is what a criminal does and his purpose as the batman is to stop violence and not kill like one of them.
Oh please. Most people got it. As if it wasn't obvious enough with the flashback. Its still a stupid line and to top it all off, Louis came in to tell us "its his mother's name". Clearly they don't understand a little subtlety can go a long way. Also the killing part isn't true since he later murders the criminals holding Martha captive

BEN AFFLECK BATMAN IS WHAT WE ALL WANT TO SEE MORE OF IT... BUT SADLY WARNER BROS. LOVE TO FUCK WITH FANS' EMOTIONS..😶😶
You have to be smoking crack. Both movies he was in are laughably terrible.
Lmao, ya'll are fucking delusional if you actually believe this bullshit

Always wonderful to see people who actually look past that meme and find the original and deeper meaning behind it. Cheers!
Exactly
That’s rlly deep.
If it's not about having the same name then they could have used literally any other name and the scene would still work.
Am I the only one that picked up what Clark was (probably) trying to say, around 3:29 - "You're letting him kill Martha", but after that. Kind of a choked khhh, like he was maybe trying to say Martha Kent?

Right
This is what I don’t like, Bruce Wayne is the only character that is incorruptible. A man with a code, that he almost never breaks. Even in the comics he maintains that persona, even if he manages to break it one or twice, he always shows remorse and regrets. This cut of Batman is vengeful and filled with rage and murder. That’s not the true Batman
@@Annonymos118 that's Why he stopped
@@Annonymos118 Thing is, there are plenty of versions of Batman that kill and don't feel regret for it. In the comics, Batman is indirectly and at times directly responsible for the deaths of countless people, because he keeps the Joker alive. Realistically, Bruce would eventually change his ways after losing so much, he would start to think "Maybe killing isn't such a bad idea." Alfred in this movie actually addresses this problem that Bruce has, that he's changed and that he's not the hero he used to be, that he's been corrupted (Batman is just a man after all).
Bro said batmnas no longer the executioner but he's still killing criminals.
These kind of takes belong with this movie. In the 🗑
I really don't get why people think this scene is bad. IT MAKES SENSE.
But instead he fights while insisting he doesn’t want to fight, he makes nonsensical statements that compound the confusion rather than clearing it up, and then he desperately cries out with just enough information to confuse Bruce without actually doing enough to “save Martha.”
If Lois hadn’t shown up with her Basic Communication Skills, both Clark and Martha would have died.

You guys don't get it don't you. The reason why batman reacted like that when superman said her name was because it clearly reminded him why he became the batman in the first place.
