My only concern is about the punctuality: Being late is not a Pilipino character in reality because the true Pilipino is punctual or early in their time ( make a research about it). This tradition of being late in either any occasion is the bad habit or maybe traditions of Spanish Culture. They say that being late is more actractive especially in grand occasion because you are in " The center of attraction" in the Pilipino term known as SIKAT hahaha a very bad Spanish tradition.
Interesting video , you can really see the difference of Filipinos living the Philippines and Japan . You can see the distinction from the two and similarity too . Lots of love and blessings.
Amazing the first Girl you interviewed has a a very strong Filipino Accent although she was born in Japan. The second girl is more a traditional Japanese but more of a Filipino characteristic but then Again it depends where she was raise in the City or Province they might be raised in Manila or anywhere in the Philippines, everyone is different, it just depends on how a person is socialized.
There was a Japanese/Filipina girl at my son's elementary school here in the Philippines. She was teased and bullied daily. Finally I stepped in and watched over her for the next two years. The bullying didn't really stop but they had to deal with me directly at that point. This was in Bohol.
I am Half Pinoy/Half Japanese and raised in the Philippines.I experienced that too I was bullied by my Classmates and traumatized. If Foreigners they are nice
@@empressmichiko5755 Eventually, my kids went to the local school where everyone there was a cousin. Absolutely no bullying and my son was voted king of the school in grade 6. Sorry to hear of your ordeal.
My sister was a flight attendant for Philippine airlines and she said of all the countries she had been in, Japan is the cleanest to the point that she says it looks sterile!
In the Philippines if ur a student mostly they call u... using ur LAST NAME😊 Perks when u grow up or live in the Philippines... U CAN SPEAK ENGLISH...Both of the girls looks filipina for me but the 2nd girl personality is so pinoyyy.. hahaa
I love this segment Mana Chan, I hope you and I are not the only ones who learned something from this interview but all your followers who have watched this.
I was in Japan from America for 4 days in Yamato 2019, yo visit my niece. I love Japan, safe, clean air , friendly. It was a good experience. I love the Philippines, US and Japan!
Mana I'm also half japanese and Filipino 🇯🇵🇵🇭 By the way, Mana can you try go to Bohol Next time when the pandemic is gone 😄 Thank you for the best videos Mana! 😁✌️
I love this segment. Props to the interviewer man. Great set of questions you put together there and I found this very educational and entertaining. Kudos guys!
Hi Mana-san. Thank you for this interesting and lively vlog. Men and women have different perspectives so I hope there will be a part 2 to this like interviewing the male counterpart. I hope Filipinos would take note about having discipline. Filipinos have the "Bahala na" (whatever goes or happen, good or bad) attitude. In terms of traffic, rather than following the rules, they are "mga pasaway". The majority of Filipinos attitude is if they can get away with it, they will do and will try hence the extension of deadlines. Sad to say but it's true. If this attitude changes for the better, it probably won't happen for another few generations. I find it interesting how the 2 participants have some differences. Justine leans a little more towards her Japanese culture because she mostly grew up in Japan and Yoshimi mainly grew up here in the Philippines so she tends to lean more towards her Filipino culture. One universal agreement between the two is how the Filipino attitude is more relaxed and stress free as oppose to Japan. Again, great video and congrats! Looking forward to part 2.
Hello Mana-san!!👋👋👋 I really like it when you say "OMG!! 5 hours Traffic" 😂😂 If given a chance to go in festival in japan or beach in boracay, best choice is festival in japan😍. Festival only once a year, and beach you can go any time 😁😁 Kare-kare is good!! But adobo is the best😁😁, and Sini-gang!!😁😁
Love watching this video. Love the attitude of the second lady. This brings to mind my grade school days in Manila when I had 2 Japanese classmates--Roichi Fukushima and Emmanuel Yano. Both nice kids but Emmanuel was more rambunctious. Roichi was quieter because he did not speak a whole lot of English.
..its great interview Mana-Chan 💯 ..its true Japan is Cleanest Discipline people Safety ...but the the interviewer when ask (Where your spend the rest of your life ?) ..Philippines 💯..I was amazed
I am not surprised at all. For me, the reason why many (specially expats) want to retire in the Philippines is because of the Filipinos and the culture. I am an expat who's been living overseas for more than 30 years. Every time I leave the Philippines after a vacation, I feel I'll be missing something. Mas masaya sa Pilipinas.
My nephew's daughter was conceived in Japan, born in the Philippines and then moved to Japan and have since lived in Japan for the last 5 years. She studies in a Japanese school and speaks fluent English and Japanese only.
One observation on this interview, the male interviewer ask the female about how she preferred for travel, is it by commute or by car? I know in the fact that in the Philippines when someone ask this type of question, it was like neither of the two should be the answer. However, the definition of commute in English is "Travel to, and From, and vice versa" meaning a mode of transportation and car is included in the commute along with the buses, train, boat, plane , horse and other thing that bring person from point A to Point B.
Filipinos are so imprecise with words or phrases or sentences or grammar or their thinking or their very lives. Some even pronounce a LETTER wrong, like "Z",they pronounce it "zay"...OMG!!!!
My wife also is a descendant of japanese imperial army, her grand mother is a pure japanese blooded. Her grandma was left by her parents because after the WW2 they think they will be slaughtered if they will give.up, so they decide to left thier (young)son and daughter in the Filipino community.
I love the interviews given to half-Pilipino & half-Japanese young people. I believe, they are all telling the truth of what they like & things they had observed in doing things in the Filipino or Japanese ways.
I have been to Chinese school in Philippines since i am part chinese. And ya, a little strict on going out or doing some kind of field trip. Especially the rich ones. It's practically the same. Both are half Filipino. Hahaha
Hello! I’m halfhalf hehe! Half pinoy & half Japanese, 7yO , I’m living here in nagano ken Okaya city. I’m always watching your yt videos. Sending love & support.
Very nice content Mana-san... We want more like this. Kudos to sir Charles (same name with my father). for being a nice and cool interview. 👍👍👍👏👏👏 ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
A filipino would probaly choose to go to a festival in japan since its a rare chance for filipinos to go to Japan and Japanese people would choose the beach.
I'm Filipino but when in terms of punctuality, I hate late... Work, meeting friends etc I'm always 30mins before the agreed time. 15mins before the meet up time I consider it on time, on the dot of the clock I already considered late.
I’m half pinoy and Japanese, my experience with the two cultures, are Japanese are more discriminating than Filipinos. Filipinos are more accepting than japanese..
