Those pigs are like naughty children. They knew they were in trouble and they knew where to run to. Too funny...for us, not you. You are living proof of "necessity is the mother of invention". That calf shelter is pretty dang cool! As for the ACR's telling you what you should or shouldn't do with those calves, they don't live there, so they can't know. You've always done what is best for your animals. That's admirable. Have a great evening!
Peanut and Goliath should do fine in their new pad. Love your good old American creative engineering making use of what's on hand with the pallets. I don't know the time lapse of the whole project but it looks like it went by pretty quick. When you lost the one pallet I thought it might mean a wash but you took it in stride as if it was supposed to happen and didn't miss a beat! Good job Mike, thanks for the invite today. Your clips and my "Not a cup of Starbucks" coffee are part of my daily kick start.
Awesome yard pasture , In the morning the kids can walk out the door and give the calves a big hug. At the moment I have two 12 x 12 pens in the back yard with 2 calves in each . every day you slide the pens around . It saves on lawn mowing also.
My folks lived in Wheatland, WY. for a few years. They said the wind blew all the time. Just holding my breath until the calves find something to destroy. Good luck.
Thanks again for all the awesome videos Mike! I'm sure it can be a pain in the @ss with all the extra time it takes you to record & edit but hopefully you will continue to share your life on your awesome ranch because it gives many of us something to look forward to every morning when we are having our coffee 🤞🤠👍 God Bless and keep 'em coming!
Hello y'all,. I just want to thank you for sharing your lives with me. I look forward to your vlogs every day. I wish I could afford to be able financially to help y'all so I can see all the stuff you share. Thank you for the daily laughter. Can't wait for each post. Again, thank you for sharing your Wyoming Life.
People need to relax and let you do what you do soooo well! You do not have to explain yourself...but hey, I had an orphaned foal in my basement bedroom for 4 months so I might be a little nuts!
Mike you might need to put a pallet in front of the copper gas line to keep the calves from rubbing on it. So they don't break that line. Just as a precaution
Those two little rascals sure are growing nice and healthy! Very good looking boys! Remember to take Peanut's toy over to him!❤ Got tickled how they followed you to their new digs just like 2 big puppy dogs!
....Plus new bottle calves need to be watched as they tend to get sick easier than normal. And it is nice to have them close for the 2-3-4 times a day feedings. But, yep they get a little weight and then it is like they look for ways to get into trouble.
If you want to have your calves in your yard, that is your business. Why would anyone criticize you for that? You are awesome and amazing and your family is wonderful. Take the constructive remarks and forget worthless criticism! Love from Texas.💗💗💗
I don't know why they would be in the yard for that long. Where does the kids play and not step in crap? As I know my aunt/uncle on their farm had "clean" areas around the house.
Hey Mike, since the cows are very curious, don't you think you should put up a fence around the propane tank so they don't pop it or pull it apart. Otherwise great job today. Love those little guys.
Mike - I love when you share the Hereford history of your ranch. My family has raised Herefords for over 50 years and have the same large "Hereford All Things Considered" sign!
Good morning😎, glad to see peanut and goulite in their new digs. Which brings us to the question, now where is the new dog? Mike you got set up...steveb
Funny you should say use pallets. In idaho, I built a 15 x 40 barn out of pallets. Used railroad ties for corner and wall support. That thing withstood 70 + mph winds! The neighbors prefabricated garages were damaged they told me after they came to see if mine survived. I tell all this because 1. I'm proud of my accomplishment. (Even though it wasn't square) 2. Ingenuity is the basis of many worthwhile projects. I'm not telling you what to do...✌ lol If you haven't already pondered this option, a fence post inside each end of the pallets will work too. Slide the pallets over the posts. In Montana, used to stack our fire wood in between two of them. Those smart pigs. haha
I can always count on a chuckle when I watch these videos !! They also make me think about how my wife gets her way too ... Jon O in Idaho (or "OIL") Our Idaho Life
Oh those pigs! I mean this in the nicest possible way, but their pigpen gate is a little less than robust!! Glad Peanut and Goliath have a new pen. No more cow pies in the yard!
Mike, Love your channel and watching the ranch life. I’ve been doing HVAC work for 37 years and seen a lot of mishaps happen, if I can give you some advice, I would put some panels around the propane tank. You know much cows like to push against things and that steel pipe won’t handle them pushing against it for very long. The problem is where the pipe is in the ground and makes a 90deg turn towards the shop. The end of the pipe is threaded to go in a fitting, these threads cause a weak spot on the pipe and this is where it will probable break. Another problem is if they push on that copper pipe enough, over time it will work harden and can crack or break also. Not criticizing but just want to prevent you from dealing with a propane leak and having to call someone in my line of work to repair it. Take care and thanks for letting us in on your life.
Great use of pallets! Really liked the water through the window too!! Luxury digs for Peanut and Goliath! We are trying to hay in this wind...volume is significantly less than last year here in Lander...even on irrigation. Grass fires 🔥 since the 4th have been plentiful 😒
People are not catching your videos in sequence. Both Goliath and a Peanut were outside on fresh grass, fresh air and sunshine...all healing and pleasant for orphans. ✔️
First i must say for you to bring us along with this issue was GREAT!!!!! Thanks!!!! From listen to you a bottle calf is something to except on somewhat of a couple a year. Maybe pick an area that is best for the whole process of a bottle calf from the beginning would be better suited. Like a permanent bottle calf area. i am just suggesting this idea to help, if you have already thought of it great two great minds think alike, if not then i planted a seed (hint hint), either way i like your channel how you conduct yourself and how you tell things that most people are not going to. all around you have the best channel on youtube, well you got a strong second place to bbkernsalls homestead lol.
Hey Mike, seems like every time you turn around your pigs are sneaking out your pigs are smart and know what they're doing lol. I'm glad the bottle calves got another place to call home and hopefully they would stay out of mischief but sometimes that's easier said than done😉 it's just temporary for them and it'll work out. So what's next for OWL keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔🐂🤠😉
What wind in Wyoming??? I thought that only happens when I go there, it's because of those big fans they installed near Cheyenne, suppose to cool things down in the summer time.
God I hate to tell you this those pallets are not going to hold up. Pus do you have any metal sheet metal to put over the top and sides? Great video love the music.
The calves could earn their keep by painting the fence. That and not swipe the copper propane line on the tank. And advise them to avoid Erin's flowerbed (and the dinnertable)! Soiee pigs!
You'd still need a small stretch of no electric fence. If a hog knows that 360° around usually has electric fence even if you take it down to move them say onto the trailer to take them to the butcher they will not go through.
Mike don’t forget the toys. Great job! Erin will be happy and you can have your yard back with no poop!
Good Morning.....I don't understand people that think you don't no what you are doing....I hope they like the new home...

I think you did a good job with what you had to work with . And both them boys look healthy and happy

Mike: This is a copper line. They can't chew through it.
Peanut: Hold my bottle.
😂🤣
😂🤣🤠
its like anything tell them they cant and they will lol
My folks lived in Wheatland, WY. for a few years. They said the wind blew all the time. Just holding my breath until the calves find something to destroy. Good luck.
Love that the one pig stopped and stared thinking if it doesn't move you can't see it.
We call the hot day wind " the breath of a dragon " that's what it feels like. Here in Texas. I live on 25 acres.
Great video. Thanks again.
I like the subtle bottle of Johnny Walker Black in the background!
I am sure they will enjoy the new home!!! I am sure Erin will be so happy!!!

Hi.
Your family will be glad to have the yard back.👍
It’s working with what you have. It’s great!
It’s amazing to me how you manage find songs to fit your videos 👍🏾
Great video

My dog loves her jolly ball
I love your ingenuity Mike. Taking something of little value and making them productive.
New calf Diggs is fantastic. Love their shelter. Happy wife, Happy life. Love those little escapees.
On the ranch the plan is...wing it. Escaping pigs are good for a giggle.
Good Morning Mike😎
The propane line maybe metal but they can still rub against it.
People need to relax and let you do what you do soooo well! You do not have to explain yourself...but hey, I had an orphaned foal in my basement bedroom for 4 months so I might be a little nuts!
You never stop. Know the babies will love their new home
Thanks mike .
I love those calves in the yard... but it’s time to graduate to another area...
I think that your calves will love the new area. Good Job on the shelter ! Thanks for sharing
Good 🌄 to Our Wyoming Life
Great job Mike!!!
Well you nailed it
Mike you might need to put a pallet in front of the copper gas line to keep the calves from rubbing on it. So they don't break that line. Just as a precaution
Great work Mike

We clean our yard. It’s not hard and our kids are able to help
@@OurWyomingLife Mike, I didn't mean to imply you don't.

They're to busy for a new puppy. They're waiting until fall
they can't chew that gas pipe but they can pull, push it. As a loyal sub, I'd recommend build a pallet fence around it.

Well that was fun!!! 😀 (I built a temporary fence for my chickens.. Fail! But I did not give up!) Thank you for sharing!
Very nice Mike....good to hear your concerns about the health of your animals buddy #stoneyridgefarmer
Mike how about finding some rope halters bet kids have a lot of fun teaching them to lead.
The pigs were like busted, oh no boss is coming.🐖🐖
Can I place a small bet on the caves bitting on the soft copper? Murphys law. Lol. Good luck they will keep you on your toes.
Another great video. If the fence panels need a little more strength try attaching an additional panel perpendicular to the rest.
All the pigs run when Mike comes in lol i think they knew thay were in trouble
You Know how Animals like to rub against anything. I would suggest some thing around the Propane pipes.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has more that 2 deep freezers
Nice mike
I like watching your videos from your ranch, from California

pallets, looks like our local homeless camp, getum a blue tarp and its complete, ha, ha
Just like the Chaz in Seattle.
Blue tarps are like wax paper in wyoming. We have high winds up to 70 mph often. (-:
Hey it works
Did u get a new wind mic that sounds great, not a lot of wind noise for how much wind there was, sounds great
Oh those pigs! I mean this in the nicest possible way, but their pigpen gate is a little less than robust!! Glad Peanut and Goliath have a new pen. No more cow pies in the yard!
I like the Johnny Walker on the freezer LOL!
That Wyoming wind has killed a couple of my tents
RIP

That's so Funny LMBO, those little Piggy rascals new they were being Naughty!
Oopssy!
Pretty cool little hut Mike👍
Have a great day!
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
Sure has been a windy week in this part of the country Mike! Could be good to protect that propane line just the same. -Bob...
Did Peanut keep the blue ball on a string, in the new area?
Haha when he was building the shelter for the calves the song was the house building theme from red dead redemption
I actually work for the company that makes mikes camper!
Mans gota do what a Mans gota do. to get the job done Mike. Agreat place for them
The best line in the movie "COWBOY WAY" . "What's a baby cow ganna do to me?"
Cool music

I love your shirt...Escape the Ordinary with cute cow face!!
I can't believe Mike got away putting this off for so long.
Mike Hows the calf that was sick during branding doing?
Russell Moore the one with hear stroke? Died under the trampoline
They weren't able to save it. It passed that day. 😢
Hey Mike I hope when I'm older I can be just like you
Good job Mike!! I just wish you would have scrubbed out that trough. I always tried to give cows the same water I'd drink. Guess it'll do in a pinch.
Hi
Love the music mike
What wind in Wyoming??? I thought that only happens when I go there, it's because of those big fans they installed near Cheyenne, suppose to cool things down in the summer time.
Mike are you ok i noticed your kind of limping ?? hugssssss
Those pigs would make a great addition to the ranch roundup menu. BBQ suckling pig sounds great.
When can they go into the pasture with the other cows?
Where would you be without those cordless tools!
Mike, why don't you train your calves to drink from a pail? It's much quicker and easier.
God I hate to tell you this those pallets are not going to hold up. Pus do you have any metal sheet metal to put over the top and sides? Great video love the music.
Pallets here in our dry climate last for years.
Just got a bull Calf so we can breed him later and do other things, he's small but he is a hassle so he'll buck his little heart out.
Has the refrigerator problem from the other day been resolved???
Yes. Control board went out. 500$ fix. Thanks

At 6:50 what is the bottle of hooch ?
Ever thought of putting single wire electric around coral for pigs?
You'd still need a small stretch of no electric fence. If a hog knows that 360° around usually has electric fence even if you take it down to move them say onto the trailer to take them to the butcher they will not go through.
What age do you wean bottle babies ?
Mike, you appear to be limping. Are you alright?
I noticed the same thing. Hopefully he is fine.
New work boots are tight
Didn't you just free up some panels yesterday.... Use some in the yard 😆
Better in fresh air, no ammonia smell to cause respiratory problems. Regular folks just don't know what the guys need.
