When you started to tell the cows to git because they weren't the ones you wanted, crackerjack was "you don't have to tell me twice". Enjoyed the video.
People need to see the realities of ranching/farming ... things don't always go the way you want!! 😍😍😍 I love seeing you show the realities. They are beautiful, interesting animals and watching them is a wonderful reminder of my childhood in the 50's and 60's!!
I build covers out of plywood and insulate and use vapor barrier around my tanks. And I usually use a 250 or 500 watt donut heater. Crap happens, Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
I hear what your saying about the slippery conditions and cows falling! Certainly you have it worse than we do, but several years ago we had that happen to one of our cows. Not easy getting those three separated, but you did pretty good, being by yourself. Good to see you getting things done before the really nasty weather, thanks Mike. Have a goodnight and Friday.
You do have a heard with pretty good temperaments so eliminating one more is a wise step to improving the long-range quality of the herd. Thanks for taking us city slickers along for the ride.
Hi Mike and all thanks for another great video hope everyone stay safe see you next time on Our Wyoming Life❤❤❤❤ Hugs and Prayers everyone have a bless weekend😊😊😊
Loved the video! There's nothing better than 'learning' from our mistakes! Thanks for taking us along today! I'm so glad the cows worked with you to get them down to the corrals! Nice! Love and hugs❤🇺🇸
42 - 44 - 31 Hike! lol At least you had pretty decent weather to separate those cows. It could have been way worse. It makes sense why you have an early calving season. Very smart!
You make it look so easy! Great camera work and Great video. Have a good one Mike, looking forward to when you put a camera on a cow! Heck, it worked on bean!❤
Good afternoon. I have an idea for you to pass along to Arrowquip. Add some sort of retainers made on the panels for running electric cords and hoses. Keeping them off the ground. Love the videos.
and how do you justify the increased cost of manufacture for each and every panel? A cost that will be past on (with a profit) with each panel.... Not worth it to me.
When I was a young kid I lived on a farm and the man that owned it he cement the barn yard in and he had asked my dad how come he was losing so many cafes and my dad had told him that it was because he had put concrete in the barn yard
After seeing the frost and the cold water tank. A nice bowl of hot potato soup sounds good. Or a hearty soup/stew. I started doing hydroponics. I live in an apt here in covington ky. No outdoor porch or anything. I'm vegetarian so if I can grow my own crops. I can do it in a small space. For my birthday I got a hydroponic system off Amazon. I love it. It would be cool if I had the space like Erin does. But I don't. At least I can grow all year round. It's OK by the way to make mistakes. We are not perfect. The point is do you learn from your mistakes. If you don't then that is a problem. At least it is a small problem that's easily fixed.
i handle Dairy weaning woes, it's stressful. Maybe use those Nose Flaps, the problem is you have to work the calves twice- Take care and don't stress yourself out!!!
Hey Mike. Stuff happens! You're doing a great job. Btw I noticed the cow with the brand 4162 (I think) seemed to be limping on her left hind foot. I'm sure you noticed tho. Thanks for your channel. Merry Christmas to you and family and Carrie and Jeff.
Is anyone else having problems with the last couple videos stalling and no voice afterwards. I checked to see if it was on my end but every other video I subscribe to works just fine. Make me sad cayOur Wyoming Life is my favorite
Milking cows are generally from dairy breeds, like Holsteins, which have been bred for higher milk production and higher butterfat content in the milk. Beef breeds like Angus are generally bred for meat production, at the expense of milk production. Generally, a beef cow only produces enough milk to feed her calf, and it likely has less butterfat content. It's still cow milk . Some breeds of cattle are "dual purpose", meaning they can be used for both milk and beef production.
Glad you enjoy the videos. We dont need to trim the cows hoofs here. The cows are not on concrete, but 100% of the time are on pasture. Our ground here is very sandy witch acts like a natural nail file. Thus when they are walking the hooves wear down on there own, and do not require and intervention.
Hi, Mike your super modeling pose is very, very good. We women like the rough type. So you fit the bill perfectly. But your voice is off the hook dude.
It's hard to do somevofvthe things you fo singl-handed. What happened vto the older gentleman who was there for axwhile? He was a great help when you needed another person to corral cows or do whatever was needed.

I love to watch you work with the cows. Have a great weekend.
Hi mags how are you doing today 😊❤
Enjoyed your video. Cows know where to go when it’s time to eat. Just follow Mike and his tractor. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Glad you enjoyed the video. The cows are conditioned to associate the tractor with feeding time. Thanks for watching.

Another exciting day on the ranch. Always enjoy your videos Mike. Mistakes, yes we all make them. Part of our learning process.

You’re only human were made to make mistakes but you are a one-man gang. Very entertaining to watch. Very informative. Keep up the good work.

Appreciate that Dwight. Thanks for watching.

Hi Mike Erin & kids.Have a nice week end.🎄❤️🎄
Hello Linda, and hope your weekend is good also.
When was last time Erin and kids were seen, heard from, or mentioned? When was the last Beyond the Ranch?
Mike is a pretty good cuttin horse, quick on those turns when sorting cows.
LOL Thanks for noticing!
Always impressed how simple you make sorting look!
When you were axing the ice in the watering tank, i kept saying eye protection, then said, yayy when you put on your glasses
Thanks for watching Corky.
Thanks for sharing our wyoming life I hope you have a great weekend
Thanks, you too!
Your welcome our wyoming life I appreciate it
Best part of my week.. Your videos are so awesome and I learn something all the time. My favorite is still the Emu's. They are so darn cute. ❤❤❤❤
Thanks, and glad you like the videos Lori.

The weather worked out in my favor today that's for sure.
Stay warm and safe brother from the imperial county California 👍 and have a merry Christmas 🎄🎄 you and your family
You too, Francisco. Merry Christmas
Hello from st cloud Minnesota
Hello there Todd from Gillette WY!
You make it look so easy! Great camera work and Great video. Have a good one Mike, looking forward to when you put a camera on a cow! Heck, it worked on bean!❤
Sorting cows is a true art! Find it fascinating to watch the process. Thank you Mike.
Hi my friend how are you doing today 😊❤
Thankyou for taking us along. Have a great day mike
Hi Mike from North Carolina, I was looking at the shirt and hoodies. I was wondering if you will ever put Crackerjack on some items.
Hey, Mike
Hi Tammy.
Good afternoon. I have an idea for you to pass along to Arrowquip. Add some sort of retainers made on the panels for running electric cords and hoses. Keeping them off the ground. Love the videos.
Zip ties
Or you could use plumber strap you seem to like it was in that stuff a lot Mike
I'm just thinking if it was already there, no extra work needed. Obviously, if your panels don't have them you would have to improvise.
and how do you justify the increased cost of manufacture for each and every panel? A cost that will be past on (with a profit) with each panel.... Not worth it to me.
On the bright side giving those calves an extra 6 weeks with momma grows them that much more.
You're right.
Nice editing, Mike. When they ran up the chute, I flinched. 😶🌫 😆
Thanks for sharing. -EZ
Thanks EZ. I always flinch when they make a fast about face and take off!
We have 51 degrees here in st cloud
Enjoy it while it lasts!
When I was a young kid I lived on a farm and the man that owned it he cement the barn yard in and he had asked my dad how come he was losing so many cafes and my dad had told him that it was because he had put concrete in the barn yard
The man was a air planpilet
I knew that #31 punched her ticket to camp cooler , she was a wild one............

Glad ya enjoyed it Randy.
The most dangerous blade is a dull blade🤔🤔🤔
Thats for sure!
God bless you!!! Amen!!!
And you also @rsassy7465
MERRY CHRISTMAS MIKE, ERIN AND KIDS. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.
Mike thank you for explaining everything😊
It always amazes me how easy you make it look moving the cows. I would have them scattered from here to Tim-Buck-too. Lol. Great job.
Thanks Linda.
Well done Mike. Great decision. 😊❤
Mike you had me chuckle at frozen stock tank talk😊

I agree, we learn from our mistakes.
Warmer weather here but drizzly 66 headed to Va Wednesday to retrieve a vehicle. As always great video 😅 we used blabs to stop calves from nursing
Have fun!
Hi Mike.👍🇨🇦
Hi Denise.
have you looked at the propane tank heaters since you have more cold than places further south.

Good lesson for all of us!!
I say, if you learn from your mistakes, it's no longer a mistake but a learning lesson.

Mike, the first straggler of the last two seemed to be limping. (@14:05)
Hi Mike
Hi Mike, I always watch your video here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 happy holidays to you.
I as always love your video.
Thank you Karen.
How is the cow with the bad leg. the wife and i also have a ranch here in Colorado ,enjoy your videos.
A Great Video Mike
Hi again
Hello!
Hi Mike!
Hi Jeffery
How often does this happen when it comes to weaning calves?
This is the first time it's happened. That I know of.
Doesnt happen often at all, but its not unheard of. Thanks for watching.
Great video
Question....I am not a farmer ...is the milk of your cows is the same of a milking cow...thank you for making me smarter.....

thank you for the answer @@californiadreamer2580
Thank you @californadreamer2680 for that excellent answer.
You need a cutting horse for times like this. LOL
LOL And miss out on the cardio I so enjoy? LOL
Enjoyed video always so transparent.. Mike can you show video with hoof trimming? Or how you keep up with that part of farming with cows..
Thank you Mike I learn something new everyday..
We have never had any luck with pregnancy testing cows. There are so many cows that are sold that are called open that are not open.
When is Jeff coming back
Hopefully when its starts warming up a bit!
I'm pretty sure the cows are meeting every night and planning on how they're gonna frustrate the human!
Did that Frost that went down your shirt Mike wake you up
LOL Oh yeah! Nothing like getting that little extra chill to make sure you're wide awake!
I know I reside in Canada it's the same thing with the snow

Where is Erin and the kids?
Kids were at school, and Erin was busy with her stuff.
Real men can empty ice out of a stock tank in the winter! lol! I could see that on a T-shirt!
LOL
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦

Meh, we all make mistakes. It was corrected before anyone was injured. That little 31 is a firecracker alright.

It wouldn't be the meat and potatoes part of it Mike it would be just the meat no potatoes involved cuz you're only talking about cows
LOL
