- The flagship to Admiral Lord Nelson during the battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805 and is the most famous of the great British fighting ships. She can be visited at Portsmouth dockyard where she is preserved for posterity. Some Pictures I took of my ship of the line. I started building her, back in 1981 -??? . The 1805 "H.M.S VICTORY ". Mantua HMS Victory. Nelson's Flagship 1:98 Scale Plank on frame hull construction (double planked) , Hand Painted and costume scratch build cradle I'm still working on the HMS Victory a very difficult model to build and rig.
Nice work. Your patience is being rewarded with a beautiful model. Stay safe.
Awesome! Incredible craftsmanship! Smooth surfaces and shapes and ultra clean, ultra crisp detail and color separation. Love it!
Thank you for your nice comments. Did you check out my other videos?
You are most welcome. Been into modeling on and off since my childhood way back in the 1970s. Learned a ton, but I'm far from being an ace modeler like yourself. My passion (besides music, my "day job") is filmmaking (on real, professional Super 16mm film). Will make sure I'll check your other videos ASAP. I'm sure you did some other killer models. Looking forward to it!
KUDOS on never giving up On this beautiful ship
Truly magnificent. A real museum piece.
Thank you....
This ship is absolutely beautiful, very well done

ALEX
One of the best I've seen so far 👍
Outstanding. Your attention to detail is quite evident.
Beautiful model! I am on hiatus from building and I miss it greatly.
Man you did a beautiful job on that. I’m doing the Corel. Started it in 1993. Nowhere near done 25 years later. No way I’ll match this but definitely something to shoot for.
WELL DONE ,, SHE LOOKS THE BUISNESS ,, I AM ON THE EARLY STAGES OF A BUILD ON THE VICTORY ,, NOT SURE ABOUT THE SAILS ,, SEEN SOME VERY IMRESSIVE MODELS WHICH HAVE JUST BEEN RIGGED , STILL ITS PERSONAL CHOICE , GUESS EITHER WAY SHE WILL LOOK BRILLANT ,, CONGRATS :))
Gorgeous!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR NICE COMMENT.
ALEX
Nice model, however I think you need to look at pictures of the real victory. I think you'll find the back end (stern) wasnt as angled as it is in your model. Unless of course you think the victory had multi-layered gymnasiums angled so the sailors could run up and down a wooden hill? Officer luncheons would prove interesting too. "Men, we have found a way to conserve wine stocks, angle the table so the wine goblets can never be filled up". The stern also served as an extra gunnary. Imagine firing a cannon and then watching it go weeeeeeeeee down the slope before crashing through the rear windows into the ocean. Just a few thoughts, but very nice model :)
Holy moly!
Thanks for your nice comments regarding my HMS victory. I will finish my model
alex
I have build many projects during all this years, like two marklin train layouts ho & z scale and many other ships. It’s all about finding the time & making time to finish the project. no I don't have a son. yes It's my voice and the builder of all the ships in my channel. I just turned 60 this year. Thanks for your nice comments regarding my HMS victory.
nice looking ship but why are the side galley windows looking downward should be straight are you still working on that part
судя по голосу,парень много пережил ,пока достраивал модель. обычно от mantya модели выглядят не очень,но тут hms victory идеальна на данном этапе.
Fantastic job, even the photography is superb! I'm getting ready to sell a Corel 1:98 scale wooden ship on eBay and will inform buyers to check out yours and others website. Wish I could build mine, but medical issues have put a damper on this. Again, well done....
Thank you, my friend for the kind words..how much are you asking for the kit.?
I'm trying to decide between the Mantua and the Corel 1:98. You're model looks very nice, my biggest thing when it comes to the 1:98 victories is that the Corel one has the ships wheel is in the wrong spot, as I see on your Mantua it's in the correct spot. I would like to pick up a 1/98 because I think the larger sizes are too big for my house at the present moment... Very nice, drop us a video when you get all the rigging done :)
HellzNord
I have a brand new Mantua kit 1:98 of the same model as my. never build in the box original with all the parts
if your are interested let me know and i can posted on ebay. I paid over $500.00 RARE MODEL TO FIND
THANK YOU
ALEX
swtechman1 Thanks, I'd love to, but unfortunately finances won't permit it for a while. Just doing trying to do my research and see whats out there :)

So impressive!!!!
Thanks for your nice comments regarding my HMS victory.
thank you for showing this video a replica of HMS VICTORY! I want to make my own replica too, could you kindly enough the measurement of each parts and how to name of each parts of the ship. thank you! and GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS AND MORE POWER TO YOUR PROJECT! GEORGE FROM KUWAIT
Hi George....I'm sorry it would take me months to do that for you I real don't have the time, many part to measure and name. You should buy the book "the anatomy of nelson's ships by C. NEPEAN lONGRIDGE" You can get it on ebay for under $50 US dollars. This book give you all the measurements and name of the parts....HERE'S THE LINK TO THE eBAY PAGE....www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=the+anatomy+of+nelson%27s+ships+by+C.+NEPEAN+lONGRIDGE%22&_sacat=0
I have to agree with you about the rigging. I am building the mamoli 1/90 kit. I think this kit has more detail. Is this your first kit. if so you are quite an artist.
+Allen Lichner thank you for your nice comment. No it's not my first it's my third kit. i started this model in 1981. i have build many more. i'm still working on the HMS VICTORY
ALEX
Thanks for getting back to me Alex. I would like $175.00 for it plus what the shipping would cost. I was born in Glendale so I know where your are basically. Haven't been back there (Rancho Cucamonga) since my dad passed away in 2011. I was going to try for $250.00 on eBay, but I can see what you do and the love you would put into it. That's what I want for this kit, someone to build it properly and for their love in modeling. Hope to hear from you Alex. All the best, Glenn.....
Beautiful
Your gonna have to repaint it now lol
How come the stern including captain's cabin are so sloped down.
Is this made from a kit ?
Hi swtechman1 (sorry, don't know common name). Can I ask you were are you located, in the U.S.? Cheers, Glenn....
My name is Alex. I live in southern California, in the Orange County area. City of Lake Forest....
Amazing bro

Very nice, what house is the kit.
This kit is made by Mantua from italy
Side galley windows are supposed to be horizontal not slanted down....
Amazing job, hundreds of hours of patience. Strange is, your voice sounds like 15 yo boy, I wonder if its actually the builder or his son :-D
