ahhh just by the name alone i can imagine, well a synthetic sanctuary lmao, but like what if it was made by the man villain as a trap or something and like it could be near the end of the protag's journey and its their final challenge, and they could get visions of the person they gotta save or some shit this feels rlly emotionally driven and i love it
Oh yeah, this is definitely "room before the last boss where the player or rather player party has to fight through a gauntlet of (rather easy, maybe even unlosable) bosses to proceed to the final boss, who is actually the player's friend turned last boss due to a tragic reason and actually trying to do the right thing but the party can't let them destroy the world even if it is an illusion because they've come to love the characters in it" vibes.
Few games have made me cry. I can think of maybe 2 or 3. This song hits that exact feeling PERFECTLY! This is the exact reason Shady is, and has been such an inspiration for me.
Very emotional song, but I wouldn't say I'd cry during it. It gives more of a motivational, inspirational, vibe. Like, you just found out that villain isn't the villain and the person you trusted most betrayed you. Now, you're out to set things right.
Not sure about crying, but could definitely be a song overlay for a montage scene of the journey so far, with some dialog and awkward laughter of certain parts slipped in during the pauses.
The slower segments and name of this song make me think of the part of Undertale where you visit asgore’s house and the story of the underground is told to you by every monster as the song ‘Undertale’ plays.
Title reminds me of the point in 7th Dragon III Code: VFD's story where the normally cheery background music of the main hub, "The Daily Grind", becomes the very sad "If Only These Hands Could Reach".
_The Last Corridor lies ahead. After you enter this zone, you will be locked out of all other content for the rest of the game. Have you done everything you wish to do in this life?_ * Confirm and proceed > Return home
God damn I love this. This definitely fits that vibe of entering an area and just being blown away by how beautiful the music is (cough cough xenoblade cough). That main melody absolutely hits, amazing job as always!
It's giving "Hero is falling through the sky, remembering everything they've lost and overcome on the way to the final area, and they awaken some latent power and transform into their Final Form and soar back up to rejoin their crew and fight the final battle"
Was about to comment about how Xenoblade this sounds and then saw you even pointed it out in the description. This captures the epic, somber, bittersweet, and emotional feeling those songs give you perfectly, well done my man
This doesn't *sound* like a toxic swamp level... JK, yeah, this is totally that part where you stop a party member with a guilt-ridden martyr complex from throwing their life away, because even their life is precious T_T
When you return to your hometown that got destroyed to kick off the plot after your darkest hour, you find it's begun to rebuild and the survivors want to aid in the final stretch of your quest
When a party member stays behind to kill a slew of enemies alone so the others can progress. Or when the trees start glowing in a Xenoblade game. Either way, I love it! ❤
The scene in Turpentine when Frumpelina said "If I want to be epic, I'd rather be epic with you guys", before exploding into a rainbow, hit me so hard.
yeah this definetly sounds like the type of song that would be in a area that would foreshadow something sad soon
Otherwise entitled: "Shady Remembers He Has Pitch Shifting"
This plays in that one place in that one game where you lost your favourite party member
You know the one
Or in a fire emblem game where a major character dies
Damn Right...
So this is just the entire ost of Lisa?
Me when I accidentally kill my dog in minecraft 😔
This feel like the final area theme where the journey is almost over.
i was about to say that
It does have some end credits vibe to it
ahhh just by the name alone i can imagine, well a synthetic sanctuary lmao, but like what if it was made by the man villain as a trap or something and like it could be near the end of the protag's journey and its their final challenge, and they could get visions of the person they gotta save or some shit

The person they have to save is the villain

This reminds me of the Undertale pacifist run and the walk from new home to the throne room.
This is just straight up Pokemon Mystery Dungeon coded and top tier vibes.
Even the ending to igglybuffs side story was enough to bring tears
Thank you sir, now I can't hear ANYthing other than Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! XD
dude i loved that game as a kid, i’m so glad someone else noticed this

Definitely the theme of the cutscene that playe after you defeat the final boss of a game

This feels like a twist final boss against someone you've been close friends with for the entire game
God damn I love this. This definitely fits that vibe of entering an area and just being blown away by how beautiful the music is (cough cough xenoblade cough). That main melody absolutely hits, amazing job as always!
The parts after the silent ones fills me with some strange motivation, like I have to finish the journey, no matter what pain I have gone trough.
It's giving "Hero is falling through the sky, remembering everything they've lost and overcome on the way to the final area, and they awaken some latent power and transform into their Final Form and soar back up to rejoin their crew and fight the final battle"
Aren't you excited? Aren't you happy?
You're about to be free.
I does not sound "sad", more like bittersweet of beating a game, and remembering the challenges
You should compose for a video game OST
this reminds me of the music in celeste it’s so good!
could work amazingly as a credit scene song as well, amazing work nonetheless!
I read the title and instantly was reminded of snowbells city.
You and thedooo should do a song together
Was about to comment about how Xenoblade this sounds and then saw you even pointed it out in the description. This captures the epic, somber, bittersweet, and emotional feeling those songs give you perfectly, well done my man
this plays in my head whenever i am in the obligatory poison swamp area in any game
There's so much emotion behind this song, wonderful job Shady!
This doesn't *sound* like a toxic swamp level...

In love with that Sea of Stars vibe! 🌌
yet another amazing song shady!!!
you keep doing you and I'll keep supporting you the best I can, you the best
There is a video game track to make me cry. Temporal Tower.
Don't get me wrong, this is great, and does give me feels, and I love it!
Big central factory vibe from Xenoblade Chronicles! I love it!
When you return to your hometown that got destroyed to kick off the plot after your darkest hour, you find it's begun to rebuild and the survivors want to aid in the final stretch of your quest
Diddy Kong? Di - Diddy?
DIDDY, NO. COME BACK TO ME.
(I thought it sounded a lot like DKC)
It's like if Samus Metroid Prime found a cozy little settlement of cute intelligent friendly lifeforms.
Ahhh I love this so much! Definitely adding to the "Faves from Shady" playlist once it's on Spotify hehe
It doesn't really make me cry, but it feels more like... remembering something that gives me strength to continue? At least to me.
This melody is definitely coming back in the boss fight that follows, mixed with the hero's theme
The name synthetic symphony goes super hard, and perfectly describes the song.
When a party member stays behind to kill a slew of enemies alone so the others can progress.
Or when the trees start glowing in a Xenoblade game. Either way, I love it! ❤
It reminds me a lil of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Grovyle being removed from our timeline. I cried every time.
hey shady, im working in a video and im wondering if i could use your music for something? if no, thats alright
Beautiful
Great work! it reminds me of toto'haha and ochettes themes from octopath traveller 2.

The scene in Turpentine when Frumpelina said "If I want to be epic, I'd rather be epic with you guys", before exploding into a rainbow, hit me so hard.
Sounds kinda like Darkness falls at 1:00 ngl

I think you labeled it very well honestly. It gives off loss and determination in face of that loss. Nicely done.
