There was a story about the guy that called the police because he saw a guy broke into his shed and was stealing things. They said we don’t have anyone available right now, so he called back and said don’t worry about it I shot him. They showed up real quick and caught the Thief . Police said, thought you told us you shot him? he said, and you told me you didn’t have anyone available to come out here.

Yeah not a marine, but a navy seal, which is much much harder to become. You guys should react to a video on seal training and what those guys go through during hell week. It’s literally built to break the weak, and only the most badass, smart, and cohesive under pressure kind of people make it through the end. MrBallen has posted a video as well, all about his training and when/why he was discharged. It’s a great video. God bless

my entire life ive always had 2 dogs. sometimes weapons aren't available when asleep, but a good guard dog or pair of dogs, thats some good 24/7 security

I had to dial 9/11 once, and it seemed like it took the police 15+ minutes to get there, and I live in a pretty large city. If it was a life/death situation, you're basically on your own for that amount of time.

I think a good idea, if you live alone, is to have a piece of heavy furniture near your bedroom door that you can push in front of it to barricade in a hurry, like a nightstand or bookshelf. It may keep an intruder out, and if they do start trying to force their way in, I think it would be easier to keep the barricade in place or hit the intruder as they're trying to make their way in to the room.
I don't have a plan but my dogs do.
Wouldn't the first assumption of the intruder be that she got out a window, ran for help, and that the police could be there at any time? This isn't logical to me.

Seeing that she heard his footsteps running up, he'd hear her window open or her run downstairs and outside. Also it was foggy outside so he could easily hear the cops and just run out into the fog and disappear.

If you want to be safe, just live in apartment. As long as it's normal apartment complex and not some crazy house, it's actually much better than almost any private house. I mean you can put very good security systems in the place, but in then you will have multiple windows and doors to get it.
In apartment you will have two locked doors, multiple people living right next to you, and you can't really bust in unless it's first floor. Not to mention you are probably not going to become target anyways since you can't really scout the place.
I have personally never worried about this, but that's my solution.
Only having two possible escape routes, or one in the case they're infront of one door sounds like a complete nightmare from my view

@@TheJunior3600 Unless you are expecting to be personally targeted by someone, apartment means you will be less likely to be robbed or whatnot in first place.
What you say is valid, but only if you solely think about worst case scenario. As in scenario where you get targeted in first place, and there's nobody in other apartments to hear you.
Idk, for me safety is about statistics. I'm not worried about flying in plane because it's very safe as long as it doesn't crash, and there's very little fatalities with flying. But obviously in case of crash it's much more devastating. Kind of the same case.

That guy retells stories posted on Reddit all while adding false details to spice it up. Entertaining? Perhaps. Accurate? Nope. This one’s called “Someone broke into my house and tried to find me’ and it was posted to Reddit 2 years ago. The perpetrator didn’t stay for hours, he didn’t walk around saying “I’m going to find you”, didn’t throw knives -all that’s made up by that dude. Oh and the victim was a guy too, not a woman.
