People are so scared to look dumb, that they are afraid to look at the possibility and spend more time trying to debunk something than looking at both sides of the argument

Yep. I've learned not to share my experiences with just anyone. Even certain close friends and family that are even willing to hear me out start looking at me like I might've gone nuts. At this point, people in my life know I've experienced things. If they want to ask about, I'll share, but I don't bring it up. I'm not a fan of being perceived as dumb or crazy, and forcing the issue only makes it worse. Some people are SO scared of seeming foolish, they don't even want to be guilty by association with things society considers foolish. In a way, it's like the opposite of curiosity. It's like an anti-curiosity, where even considering things hypothetically becomes uncomfortable and they'd rather not. I get it, but it's too late for me. Almost seems nice...

‘illusory truth effect.’ Essentially, the more people who see or hear a piece of misinformation that isn’t challenged, the more likely that misinformation seems true. Often misinformation tugs at your emotions, grabs your attention, and is undeniably appealing. This causes it to spread faster, thereby becoming repetitious, and sticking in people’s thoughts and beliefs."

Both my Father-in-Law (USAF Col.) and my father worked on the space program and Apollo missions. They both said that there are so many UFOs flying around that the astronauts were thoroughly briefed on what to expect and to not interact with them by order of the President. Hours of footage taken by the military since the 40's. One film shows a UFO landing at Edwards air force base in the early 50's in front of one the future astronauts (then a test pilot) and his ground crew. The UFO shown in this video had an acceleration rate of >200 Gs. That is >2 kilometers/second acceleration

Not too long ago another signal was heard and the scientific community had a meeting to discuss if we should reply to the message. It was decided by the group led by Stephen Hawkins that it was in our best interest to not answer the message. • @actuariallurker9650

I have a Math and Physics ungraduate degree, graduate courses in Astronomy and Astrophysics and am an amateur telescope viewer- so know enough to be dangerous. I seriously believe from the scientific articles on biology that the leap from one cell animals to multi-cell animals is HUGE but once achieved then a planet CAN develop more advanced life. Once that stage is reached it has to survive comets, natural weather disasters, disease, solar flares, and self-annihilation from AI, bioweapons, nukes etc before it might start to spread around the galaxy. So with that context I believe that there are MANY "exoplanets" around other stars that may have oceans with microbes in it, or algae or lichen on the land, but very few if any that would have animal life or advanced animals like humans, chimps, dolphin, whales etc that could communicate. Sea creatures that never migrated to land would not have hands or legs and would be unable to build transmitters, rockets or other tools- so only the land based creatures have chance of developing technology we could detect. So my semi-informed opinion is that if we ever develop transport fast enough to visit nearby stars (or even visit the warm oceans on moons surrounding the outer planets in our own system) we are very likely to just find microbes. Any civilization that developed millions of years ahead of us would likely send robotic drones to monitor us, so it is not surprising that these UFOs have g-forces of 20-80 that would kill a living pilot. If anything they are VERY advanced drones sending back scientific data to the creatures who sent them. If you were an advanced species you would send such probes to 100s if not thousands of worlds, see if any of them had dangerous life that might try to kill you, and then make contact with those who are friendly or worse the ones you could conquer. Just like Spain, France, and England coming to The Americas and having small armies overthrow everyone and take their valuables. Also if they are that advanced they might consider US too boring to deal with. Would you travel 500 light years to speak with a squirrel? I suspect WE will have to pass some of these "great filters" that could end the Earth, AI, global warming, war, nukes etc before they might think of us as even worthy of contacting...we would have to stop being "savages" in their minds

One reason why we might be the first lifeforms to travel in space is because the universe is still very young relative to the age it will be at the end (star formation will likely continue for 100 trillion years, and blackholes may exist for a google years). The number of concurrent lifeforms in the universe might follow a bell curve, where it'd be logical to think the most lifeforms alive at any given instant would be right in the middle of the bell curve. At "only" 14 billion years old, the universe is still super young, so it's entirely possible that we are among the earliest lifeforms - and if there are others they are probably randomly located throughout the universe...which is so ludicrously gigantic it's unlikely they are anywhere near enough to get here, even if they traveled at the speed of light.

The drones fly out of Creech AF Facility, which is supported by Nellis but not on Nellis. All of this is pretty much common knowledge for those of us who have lived in Las Vegas, NV for some time. I used to work in a village on the coast in Cornwall, I’d have to walk to and from work in the early hours of the morning. One morning I saw this rectangular tictac shaped object hovering over the ocean near st Agnes. It took me by surprise, For the five years I’d previously walked this route along the coast I had never seen anything like it before I generally couldn’t explain it. After watching it for a few minutes it shot up into the sky in a blink on an eye. literally only took a millisecond in hyper speed. I’ve only ever seen anything like it once and I’ve never seen anything like it again myself. Until last year when the reports of tictac shaped objects were being reportedly spotted in America. Which was soon covered up by the fact that they were just more spy balloons that later reported as being shot down. Soon after that it all went quiet and no more information was ever released.

The WOW! Signal is believed to have been emitted from a hydrogen cloud expelled from a comet, as the frequency was identical to the resonant frequency of a hydrogen atom at absolute zero. For example, a single second is defined by how long it takes a Cesium 133 atom (isotopic mass of roughly 133 Da, it gets really arbitrary at this point and it's been a long time since I've taken chem or physics) to oscillate a touch over 9 billion times (can't remember the exact number). It's been replicated with other comets. Meaning, the WOW! signal was likely from a comet. But you never know. Always love MrBallen reactions, he's the best. Cheers guys. Also, even with the JWST, we've seen an immeasurably small part of things. Fermi paradox doesn't even apply.

Please look up information on that again as an explanation. Many, many science channels and scientists in general have said that a comet was absolutely not the cause. For a little bit, it looked as if that had been the answer, so news papers went with it and sensationalized the hell out of it, but the majority of astronomers no longer believe that's what the signal was from.
The comet was no where near where the signal could have been picked up. But also, even before the WOW signal, a lot of people at SETI believed that if a signal were to be sent, it would be sent on the hydrogen line anyway - as that's possibly the best way to communicate with another species when you don't speak the same language, which is why broadcasting on that frequency is banned, since it's where a signal from extraterrestrials would most likely come from.

You guys should watch some of the documentaries on UFO’s. People have seen the tic tac and other things since at least 1940. With photos. They are the same objects we see today. There is no way anyone had that kind of technology then or now. I believe it was the carrier USS Rosevelt (I’m not exactly sure of the name) that was used in one of the videos. One of the high ranking officers that saw these objects on radar, talked about how the objects were raining out of the sky and his life and career was ruined. Ruined by other people in the military. They made fun of him and dogged him so much for speaking out about what he saw. He said he was depressed for so long because he had a great career and it ended over this. When the Nimitz videos were released he was so happy because it validated what he saw. I believe these people who speak out. If you think about it, just as we sent out Hubble and James Webb, who is to say other planets aren’t doing the same. Some of the craft we see could be scouts not actual aliens on board. Maybe they are as interested in us as we are them. Just because the James Webb didn’t see an alien doesn’t mean they aren’t there. 🌟🌍🌙

Let's be real here... the JWT is not designed to take a picture of aliens, it is designed to look into the distant space (and therefore time) and observe what the early universe looked like and maybe make some large scale observations. On that scale advanced technology, inhabited planets/systems, or even remnants of advanced enough civilizations would not be observed... unless... the civilization is advanced enough to effect the large scale, such as constructing a Dyson Sphere, or a Black Hole Generator... something large that could be seen by the JWT.
