My parents were farm kids who caught the tail end of the great depression & they were very fugal & self sufficient. They taught us how to grow a garden,canning,hunting etc.... One thing they hammered into us was never trust the government ever. The government never works for our benefit only theirs & they don't solve problems,they cause problems. I don't like what's coming but I am getting prepared.
one set of grandparents lived through it, the other set were born in the early 30's. Both sets said the same thing, do not trust the government.

I have been preparing for 3 years. Canned food, dehydrated food, winter clothing that is in good shape, silver/gold coins. I've paid off credit cards and paid for big repairs(sewer lines most recently). I bought a greenhouse. I learned to can and garden. I eat locally....my beef, chicken, lamb, buffalo and eggs. I didn't do it over night. It has taken 3 years and I have more to do, but Glenn is right. Financial analysts are saying the same thing. The market will crash and turn over to digital wallets for everyone.
I have a hydroponic greenhouse, and I grow so many tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, onions, broccoli, I have enough for my family and neighbors, I gives bundles of vegetables to them and I cannot tell you how rewarding it feels to contribute to some of their needs. I love gardening and I love caring for animals.
And when TSHTF they will destroy your greenhouse. You realize that right.

Well, i do have my reservations about the economic crisis. Wall Street pitched so-called quality stocks with high profitability and low debt, as a kind of insurance against whatever the economy might throw at you. Quality stocks have underperformed the S&P500 this year, My $650K portfolio is down by approximately 20%, any recommendations to scale up my ROI before retirement will be highly appreciated.
It's a delicate season now, so you can do little or nothing on your own. Hence I will suggest you get yourself a professional that can provide you with entry and exit points on the securities you focus on.

Have to make sure we have right priorities. That is the main reason we are in this trouble in the first place. Doesn't mean don't prepare, for the Bible has many examples of that, but preparing with the right outlook and trusting in the Savior who holds our lives.

"THEY" are predicted by GID ALMIGHTY to do all this evil! My foreparents always kept a pantry of extra food since the 1920's. We SHOULD keep one and learn to do preserves.
I am SO glad you touched on gathering some extra canned food every time you go shopping. Even if nothing "big" happens, you will end of saving money in the long run due to inflation. Don't forget some water stored, too! Carry on, everyone!

@@suzihazlove4979 I'm sure it does, at some point. Although I have read on many websites that if the can is intact (no dents or bulging) it should be safe to eat for many years after the "best by" date (not to be confused with "expiration date").

@@lovelyfish8053 dried potatoes properly stored lasts 30 years. Honey never goes bad. UA-cam some videos on long lasting foods. Grow your own, learn to save seeds. Learn to forage and keep animals. The world has been around for thousands of years without canned food.

Our Founders where very smart people. In our founding document they wrote " That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness." I would suggest they have become VERY destructive, to the point of being lethally dangerous to "We the people" . Perhaps we need to consider doing as we were instructed and Abolish the present system. Prepping is wonderful and we need to do it...however, we need to take a deep hard look at taking a more proactive role to protect ourselves, our freedom and the Republic.

One most important thing to do is purchase your own ORGANIC AND HEIRLOOM SEEDS. Grow your own food. You can even grow in flower pots if you are in towns or cities. Glenn, thank you for your wonderful programs. It is hard to find great common sense and wisdom anymore.
With things like leeks, celery etc when you cut off the base you can root them in water and they will grow again

Correction, Glen is a little off on the canned food. Don't just sit on it. Rotate it so that it doesn't expire. And, only buy what you will eat. If you don't eat lima beans, don't buy them. Also, get dry packed food. Rice, noodles, beans, oats. Can it, don't just leave it in the bag. It must be protected from oxidation and pests. I keep mine in five gallon buckets.
Rotating can foods is good, but also realize it is good several years after the date. Most say "best before" date. I found canned food in my aunt's house that was 3-4 years after date, tried several and they were just fine. Inspect them first. Look for rust, dents, bulges, any that open with a hiss or are obviously under pressure, toss out. A sunken cargo ship from the late 1800's in the Mississippi river contained canned food that was still edible. Flavor and texture suffers a little, but even new do too. It still eats when times are tough. I rotate mine too. GOD BLESS GOD SPEED GOD WINS.
Agreed on all you said. Buy only what you will use and rotate what you use. Have a list of everything you have. Your freezers, your pantry, all of it. I’m going to add to that list though. Fats, salt, sugar, flours are important to have on hand in food grade buckets. They can be used for bartering if need be. Spices too.
For the food storage buckets, get the twist lids, otherwise known as gamma lids. It makes it easier to access short term items in the buckets instead of prying off lids. You can get them at Home Depot and Lowes.
Learn to dehydrate, water bath can and pressure canning so that you can get refrigerated/frozen food shelf stable. This is my goal as I have yet to do this part myself.
Herbs for traditional medicine and teas. Start learning how to create your own medicines. It’s what we used to do. Learn traditional cooking so that food is also thy medicine. If you have any other medicines you need, stock up on those too.
Coffee and alcohol are important to have too. Alcohol such as vodka, gin, and brandy can be used for trade, as well as to do your own at home tincture medicines.
Now’s the time to burn it to learn it when it comes to new skills. Most importantly, don’t do this stuff in fear. You have control in how you do this, should you do any of this, and that’s empowering. For whatever you decide to do, do it to the point you reasonably can, even if it’s only a few extra cans a week. Canned food can last 20 years. Expiration date is for legal purposes.
Dry can beans, rice,flour,cornmeal,dry spaghetti,coffee,oatmeal,spices. Clean & heat the jars at 250 then pour in the items & leave in the oven for 30 min. It kills bugs & bacteria. Take out,place on sterilized kids & let cool. Vacuum sealing will work as well. We have items in 50 gal drums. Sounds crazy but the world is a dumpster fire right now.

I've been stocking up on canned foods, dry beans, potatoes, macaroni, cheeses in jars, sugar, tea, flour, dried things for months! I buy my birds food in those jug type containers, I have dozens of them filled with stuff! Now my refrigerator quit, so it's a win, win! Also stocked up on ammo!

Think about a bi gas generator, one that runs off gasoline or natural gas. Research it. I have a portable, Generac 550, it will run a furnace and two refrigeration units. Hooking up to a house is another matter.
I heard this more than a couple of times and it's happening in some SE states that FEMA is showing up at homes sporting weapons on their belts then taking inventory of people's pantries. Apparently your not supposed to be hoarding food.

Most of us that's aware have been stocking our pantries for many years and have a rotating working pantry. We home can, dehydrate, freeze dry, freeze and preserve food many ways....if you haven't already done this it might just be to late...
Best be prepared to live off the land, I know the lot of us in rural America will be fine when the dollar dies. Just have to know how to hunt, fish, farm and grow food. Its a lot more work than it is difficult. I know city folk are essentially screwed in this regard though, so he's right about them. I don't watch or listen to this guy because he seems like a defeatist and pessimist. I know their is a lot of us across the country that's been ready to fight our government since they cheated and won the 2020 election, and we are one last push away from doing so.

Also, get convalescent care equipment such as crutches, canes, walkers, shower chairs, transport and wheelchairs, back and knee braces, etc. Hospitals as we know it could be non existent. 100% agree. I’ve been watching the FED and the geo political movements for some time and I’m in total agreement with you Glen, so much so I have built 3 new storage areas within my new home ( I just moved out of town) and they are full with water, and long term food and cans etc.
I’m in the UK where energy costs are sky rocketing already. This is not going to end well for those who haven’t prepared. Get out of the banks and hold physical Gold and Silver to preserve your wealth and watch out for those who need help in your community.
I would not spend as much on silver and gold as I would on solar panels, batteries, or even a windmill generator. If you have the ability to produce and store energy, you will go much further in a survival situation. I would also try to pay off everything possible or sell it.
@Garden Del Diversify your precious metals. Same as you would any other smart investments. Gold eagles, silver eagles and constitutional (junk) silver. On the gold subject you can buy smaller increments (less than an ounce) but will pay higher premiums. I single out Eagles because they will be the most recognizable and easily tradeable (bartering) metal in America if the SHTF.

LET'S BE REAL... I like Glenn, and he's giving good advice to stock up on canned goods and other survival necessities. But the reality is, when SHTF and its all about survival, bartering won't happen. In the real survival world, those with guns and ammo will take what they need for their families to survive. I know that's sad, but it's reality! So if you try to trade food and other things you have, you're only exposing yourself and your family as "soft targets". In survival situations, there's only wolves and sheep. Nothing in between. You're one or the other. If you don't have it in you to be a wolf, my suggestion is to be a stray, quiet sheep out of sight, out of mind, and under the radar. Don't expect bartering and kumbaya songs around the campfire. That's the reality of survival.
Suppose a group is well armed and has food etc to barter? I keep seeing posts by people thinking that if they have a group with guns they will be able to take whatever they want. Until they get shot to pieces in an ambush or something. If communities organize no raiding parties will go unreported and will get dealt with permanently. Rant out!

The reason I chose a different path of spirituality is due to strange thought habits just like the one you explained. The concept of God having to die, then come back to life, is nonsense, in my opinion. The true god, infinite creator, The All, the infinite, whatever you wish to call it, has no end, no beginning. He/she has no gender, and yet biblically he is a male. He doesn’t feel emotions like “Jealousy” because such a negatively polarized emotion isn’t worthy of even the best of humans. My grandmother told me before she passed the one thing that changed her life was when her daddy saved for a whole year and bought a pressure cooker.she said before they hade a pressure cooker they just about starved every winter.
We bought a house, plugged into a mortgage. But had a big enough down payment that our monthly payments including taxes and insurance, under $500.- a month vs. $2000.- a month rent.
Not a dream house. 1/2 the size we are used to, older and in a basic middle class neighborhood of a very small town.
Think it was a good move for us.
Dried rice and dried beans gives you the most bang for your buck. As for vehicles, get an older vehicle that, with the help of a Chilton's manual or Haynes manual, you can work on yourself, and find a junk yard that has parts for that vehicle. And get a water purifier that will filter creek water.
I like a plain old vehicle that won't attract attention while I keep it well-maintained. I own it free and clear. Some people in bad neighborhoods have a house that looks bad outside but is very nice inside.
I used to give roosters away when they got old. People are offering $5 now and are on a waiting list just because of meat prices. I can't keep up with people wanting eggs either. Its not that people can't get eggs at the store but they are worried they won't later and want to get on "my list" of customers. Im selling 18 packs of eggs for $5 too. I kept chickens for fun and lose money on them but I might actually make a profit in 2022.

So basically as you know there’s a war in meat/poultry. In the past few months there has been a mass culling in England and Asia and I think Africa too of pig and birds, literally all birds supposedly with swine and pig flu virus. See where this is heading? In England they have killed all backyard birds, now I don’t know if this is all England or a specific area. Everyone has had to register their animals here in Australia too they are going to make us register all animal or livestock as they call them. I don’t propose to do anything, I have backyard ducks which product enough eggs for us and of course we could eat. I’m thinking of a couple of chickens. But I just wanted to bring awareness to the fact that governments are going to stop us from having our own food in the name of Heath and safety. Heard that before? In North Korea the farmers are starving because all the meat and little vegetables go to government. Many people are eating insects , they are producing pet food from fly larvae supposedly because of lack of meat. Many places in the world now you have to pay for the water that falls on your property which is also getting diverted from farmlands. If you’re residential you may find you are not allowed to store water. In the new world order they don’t want you being able to support yourself and I am sad to say I think they will come and take rural properties in the name of whatever they want to call it

There is lots to agree with here, but I listened to Glenn in 09 and spent tons prepping for stuff that never happened. Use common sense here and don’t get too hysterical.
The key to good prepping is having things you can actually use in your normal life and cycle them.
So buying tinned food that lasts can also be eaten as you go along. 2008 did not end in a period of great inflation but this period looks like it is heading in that direction.
Just don't make the mistake of thinking this world will last forever. Put your faith in Jesus and you will never be hysterical. I'm talking real faith here. Do it!

Well I couldn't find "10" but here is what he did mention: buy shelf stable food, repair supplies, liquor, cigs, land, anything that is subject to "scarcity", even art work or classic cars; and get out of big banks (because of ESG) He also mentioned getting on local zoning boards and being involved in local/state politics.
