- \When it comes to choosing a Linux distribution, it can be overwhelming. But don't worry, we're here to simplify things for you.
If you're an advanced user seeking full control and customization, Arch may be the right choice for you. On the other hand, if you prioritize user-friendliness and out-of-the-box functionality, Ubuntu might be the better option.

@omegaz476 considering the fact your channel is fucking shitty fortnight videos, you do not fucking use arch btw, your probably 9 from one look at your channel
Between Arch Linux and Ubuntu Linux, I will still choose Fedora Linux.

nice choice
I have been an avid Ubuntu user, but after their Snap shenanigans, I decided to give Fedora a spin ( pun intended) and so far I am loving it.
I really dont think expierenced Linux users would even see or want to watch this video- cuz he we would already say: "I use arch btw"
Correct answer: Debian. The installation is simple and there’s much less bloatware than in Ubuntu
Debian is Ubuntu based
@@bejczyreal No, Ubuntu is Debian based and not the other way around

Its a trick question, because the right answer is Debian. You can ask The Mars Rover to confirm it!
This is an opinion. Is there any proof that Debian is the best?

waow cool
but who asked

@@nureinjunker-mann9015 im not, im mint user.
If you are able to install archlinux with graphical enviroment, after that arch really isn't some much harder distro.
I feel like we should probably be comparing debian and arch, since Ubuntu in my opinion is just debian with bloatware
it support ppa for apt(if im even right) and more thing, ubuntu better except for bloat
linux mint has bloat too but much less and snapd arent included!!!
To me, Arch is good if you have good technical skills and lots of time. So I usually just use Debian for servers and Linux mint for desktop
you know what distro is best for most people, good!
Honestly its just a strange comparison, its like comparing a rocket propelled grenade to an airsoft pistol; both are fine, but it depends on the user and their needs.
Didnt know we got AI voice but in Indian accent
My first linux distro was arch linux, imo ubuntu is for beginners and everyoke sayin it which is true. Total bs people sayin arch isnt for beginners. It is its so simple ok the installation isnt to hard tho. Skill issue if u think arch linux is in the advanced category
Both distributions are okay. But I am leaning more on Ubuntu, specifically the Studio version.
Arch:can look cool af but really unstable, good luck troubleshooting.
Ubuntu: bacicly windows.
It's stable...
Windows?? In what sense.

I am using Oracle Linux (Fedora). It might be running on 40 Gnome but this doesn't bother me at all. Because, my entire work lies in terminal, I rarely use GUI. And I love it!
:)
Archlinux doesn't support secure boot by default. You can use secureboot, but you need to sign kernel everytime you upgrade kernel. So, Ubuntu is better suited for me.
No one cares about secure boot right now
@@helix.d you are right... Nobody cares about secure boot ant TPM except M$
Ubuntu supports secure boot, plus you can customize Ubuntu the same way you can customize Arch.
Arch and Debian are both alright. In the end the distro you install doesn’t really matter beyond the package manager and some defaults. Arch is nice if you want to test newer packages and features but you could also keep it stable-ish by using the LTS kernel. And Debian is rock solid and reliable. Ubuntu is alright too, they have their own take and opinions on how to build the system but it’s up to you if you agree or not. Just explore Linux and be happy! ❤
Both are ok butmy favorite is Linux Mint

GENTOO
Preach, I don’t run it currently but I installed it on an old iBook and it was a great learning experience
I’ve used both, but currently learning Slackware just for fun.
I have arch on my lenovo *thicc*pad r61i and thats what i preffer, but for begginers theres debian. in my opinion debian is better than ubuntu cuz its highly customizable at the visual installer and it has very little bloatware
I use Garuda btw
I mostly prefer black arch because of how smooth it feels
I think at this point everyone should use nix
Fully agree, nix is much more stable then arch
I daily drive debian with a tiling wm but I still use arch on my other machines because of how powerful the aur is
Ubuntu is also older and has a corporation deving it. It just works 😅!
Instead of Ubuntu I would choose Linux Mint
Altho Arch seems like a better option for me but difficult to install
Between arch linux and ubuntu linux ill choose Gentoo
Debian, arch, fedora and gentoo. That's the real competition.
It should have been Debian vs Arch
I use Debian btw
I went from windows to arch linux straight away
what do you think about it?
Arch, even though I use ubuntu as a daily driver, but I have used arch and manjaro, and those oses are great af
Manjaro is pretty bad on its back recently, iirc.
@ren5689 yeah, i've heard its pretty bad, but my grandmother uses manjaro as her daily driver and she has not had a problem with it, even tho the pc shes using is from 2015, it runs the latest version of manjaro XFCE just fine.
pardon my sudden intrusion
I'm starting to have severe headaches with windows, and would like if you guys could help me choose a linux for gaming and work, i prioritize security and performance since my win 7 lacks that severely
list the ones i should keep an eye on, along the files required to further expand my adventure's ground
i gladly await your guidances on how to proceed, considering some details too
Pop_os is the best for you in my experience, begginer friendly and far more easier to install windows games or games that support Linux naturally its somewhat stable.
Im a arch user btw
I use EndeavourOS btw.
where is my blackarch linux users?
I mean arch id Ur advanced Ubuntu for beginners.
I use ANDRIOD btw
Debian12 is a perfect mix
i use arch btw
Arch is not so simple is a little bit simple 😂
Not even a fair comparison, poor Ubuntu haha. Out of date packages, forced focus on snaps, no AUR, bad package manager in general.
Also talking about the UI of Ubuntu is irrelevant, because it's not custom. It's just GNOME, which can be installed on Arch.
I love Arch
Fedora user here
I’ve been trying to install fedora for a while but I’m always stuck at some screen (I’m not using a usb but a 8gb partition from my ssd because I never have a usb)
Or just use Manjaro or Debian with a DE and get the best of both worlds? Bc Ubuntu kinda sucks...
Fedora is still king among the just works dirstros
arch is s tier whatchu guys on bout?
arch better more
Ubuntu server with xfce

I use Arch as daily driver since 15 on a real machine ofc, and I am 16 too but age is just a number.
What DE/WM do you use? I customized my own dwm (not just the config file) so that it has a graceful shutdown using wmctrl.

never use ubuntu itself, use a ubuntu based distro or debian.
good examples: linux mint, popOS
good stuff
Arch linux=life time wasting
Nuh uh
its amazing for customization but after a "sudo pacman -Syu" it may break the system lmao or if it doesnt break it , it breaks packages and you have to rollback so life time wasting is pretty accurate
Yeah🤣
this is true specifically when your device is pretty strong, in such case, a bit of extra stuff you don't need is added and is a dependency of the DE , and the default average usage of that distro won't really matter.
other than that, its pretty subjective. Tried it once, and it feels refreshing as if I knew the corners of the OS I just compiled, ended up in Debian 12 though.
