I've never understood that as well, I can't imagine following someone's daily activities, I have my own already and they're enough. Same! No one on social media ever even knew I was pregnant and no one knew I had a child until they were 3+ months old. Outside of me texting pics and vids to close family and friends, no one’s ever seen their face, knows their birthday, or their real name. Keeping it that way and I’m glad my family/friends respect my wishes and support it 💕
Parents trading their kids privacy/ innocence for money.. This is a case of stolen innocence, the longterm damage or ROI is not going to be worth it for these children. Not here to tell anyone how to raise their kid(s). ❤

Watching this makes me realise how lucky my daughter is. She’s living the childhood I had: no phones or tablets, she spends most of her days drawing/colouring and loves being outdoors. I don’t post photos of her on social media and if I do, her face is not visible. I print all our photos and put them in photo albums or hang them on the walls, there’s absolutely no need to post photos of your child online.
What parents don't realize is when they share everything about their kids and family, their actually selling information to more than just companies; essentially everyone who watches: foreign / domestic governments, Pedos, Stalkers... - "The most valuable commodity is information." - Gordon Gekko
This is disgusting and beyond disturbing, especially the horribly abusive and sociopathic parents that framed their poor little boy and screamed at him for content. I honestly felt a visceral reaction of rage at these parents and sheer sadness for these poor children. It baffles me how so many people enjoy content that exploits and harms children. UA-cam really needs to double down and prevent any exploitative content that harms children from appearing on this platform.
As a mom of young adults, I have seen this become out of control among the generation of women behind me (millenials). In the early days of social media, it used to be am occasional family portrait. Now, parents are sharing their kids mental breakdownd and behavior outbursts, embarrasing moments, video of them at the ER or injurwd or when they are sick on the couch with a stomach virus. It is disgusting. I feel for the young lady who says there is now so much out there about her due to her parent, that it has now given her problems
I think more parents are becoming aware that posting their kids on social media is wrong and unsafe. I dont post my child and it feels like I meet more and more parents that do not either.
True. I used to post occasional pictures of my daughter on my private Facebook account. I've recently deleted even those because I just don't want her to be exposed without her consent. It's not worth the risk. I'm the person who's supposed to protect her and I will make sure I do my best.
These parents that say their kids are too young to notice they're being filmed....so delusional. Even my dog notices when i try to film it and stops what it's doing. These people are truly sick and they don't see their children as human beings
The Truman Show in action. This is distressing. These parents don't see their children as persons to love and care for. They see r=them as objects to make money.
Sad that most social media platforms have made the society dumber and not smarter. Regulations hopefully happen sooner in most countries before it is too late!
Using a fake name will not stop anyone doing a free Google Image search, that may link to a friends social media. That thread finds everyone that you know & everyone they know. “Game over man, game over!”
I don't understand why your child would film in a hospital anyway. And everything will tell what's wrong with him! to completely unknown people on a social media platform......
Do these parents not even consider the trauma they put these kids through, even without the added pressure of being recorded? Personally, I already question the morality of it all, as a child cannot give informed consent, when they themselves are just learning to rely on information itself. The guardrails aren't just missing, children and parents are flying blind.
About the lady who made a contract for her child. Perhaps legally it’s not child labour, but how can a kid make full consent to be a participant in a work contract?
I've always found it bizarre when parents use their children as content, and I find it even more bizarre that it's not considered as child endangerment. None of those children consent to it willingly, it's either they coerce them or they manipulate them with treats. We don't get to see what happens behind the scenes before the rehearsed "wholesome" videos are taken.
Noo! The young boy with the medical needs, I have a lot of medical needs and if my parents had put that all on social media I’d disown my own parents as an adult. Children’s lives aren’t for the monetization and attention of adults. Adults can’t say “I’m sorry disabled child but I NEEDED to post online about YOUR medical needs to cope.” Get some in real life friends, a therapist, a paper journal to process your feelings about having a child and/or disabled child. Not the entire world via social media.
This is so frightening. The choice of adding minimal soundtrack to the documentary is incredibly powerful. It echoes the seriousness of the topic at hand and lets the silence highlight the gravity of the damage. Thank you for that. The level of child abuse through online exposure is heartbreaking. Over the next few years more and more stories of the abused children will surface as they grow up and realise the harm that was done. I hope they are guided safely through their healing. We need more counseling, education, and mental health interventions for the parents who exploit their children in such a way, just as we *desperately* need a legislation to criminalise this type of abuse and make posting children online illegal.
It's the same as with insane first names for children (ABCDE....) These parents only think of themselves and not about the consequences of their actions.
Jessica's "parenting" couldn't disgust me more.. Jesus Christ, she even said that she wouldn't mind if her kids changed their surnames. What kind of parent says that??. One who doesn't give a f..k. as long as her business carries on. Or she can't stop filming her sick son because people have the right to know what is going on with him. Thank you so much for creating this. This is precisely why my kids aren't featured in social media. I genuinely wish social media never existed. Sure there has been good from it but there are far too many negatives in all aspects of society and the world. 😢

Do you know how annoyed and judgey friends were when we refused to share our children's photos on FB 15 years ago?!? I would have them from the side or not facing the camera. You don't need more, and my kids have a right to privacy.
These parents are next level stupid. Stop exploiting your kids like this. If you want your life to be online then go for it but leave your kids out of it. It's not rocket science to picture how the future of your kids will be.
Those parents are BANKING... Did you see that chick, Jessica's, house????? I don't agree about exploiting your own kids, but I can understand bc WOW the amount of money they are making!!! That's similar to drug money! Not even a doctor or lawyer.
This is one of the situations which is terribly unethical but perfectly legal. 😞 I wonder why people like to see other people’s children online? What’s the use of that? What’s the meaning of that?
Ryan stuff was way less creepy, he only films like organized segments, they didn't talk about all this personal stuff,.. the amount of money he made, is likely what inspired d a lot of these creepy parents who overshare
The laws protecting children in Europe and some in the US are great but I guess my question is how aware are those children of the laws? Is it clearly explained that they can have their photos removed? That they’re technically an employee on a payroll? Can they really consent? I guess those are the questions that come up for me.
At least the one French women shown does explain her child has an account that the parents cant touch much like child actors so the money is secure. And you do learn in school about the right to be forgotten (that every EU citzen has) and children's rights although that's only really in depth at around 12 maybe so for some of those kids theyd have already spent years online.
If I am watching youtube shorts and any video with children come across, I hit do not recommend/report EVERY time. Exploiting your children for views is absolutely disgusting and needs to be stopped.
Family vloggers (influencers) love that money they make. Especially if you live in Utah! (& Mormon ). They over-share every moment of their children’s growing up. Am surprised you didn’t get into the Ruby Franke case. As she is now in prison for child abuse!
This is frightening! I could never do that to my children and agree it should be regulated as a modelling job would. Also, vulnerability should be taken away from it - it’s not right to report from the child’s personal space. I feel so bad for these little people who undoubtedly are in the predatory gaze with their parents consent.
In the 90’s when i was a child we learned about children rights.. It’s crazy to me that there’s no law about this What about the rights to their image? What about their consent ? What about their rights for privacy ? What about their exploitation ? What about all the bad consequences of their exposure and the danger it may cause ?
I can't even stand it when my mom shows people my baby pictures or when we watch old home videos, I can only imagine how humiliating it is for these kids being broadcast online constantly from the moment their mom found out she was pregnant to current times. My heart goes out to all the children ❤
It's easy to explain that. People's life is empty they need to live their lives watching the others "perfect life". Don't worry about the end of the world, we are already there!
I could recall the movie ‘The Truman show’ in 1998. He was not living his own life with independence although he seemed to live a perfect life ostensibly. It’s so harsh for the filmed child in their whole life. Children’s Privacy will be more reinforced in no time.
I haven’t posted a single photo of my daughters on SM. It’s just out of protectiveness (I wasn’t even sure from what). We do take loads of photos & videos but they’re only shared w/ family & close friends. I didn’t have any strong feeling re sharenting, but seeing this video I’m wondering if this should be made illegal. After all kids cannot really give their consent to this exposure.
Almost the only things I post are pictures of my cats or art projects (such as Diamond art or a crocheted blanket) that I have made. I don’t have children, but I *am* a self employed music teacher, and I have to have release forms and I am very careful of what is posted. No last names, nothing that is even a hint embarrassing etc. Just happy moments that showcase the studio fun. Oftentimes not even showing faces. I definitely would not do a family vlog, ever.
I could never imagine serving my children up on a silver platter like this to predators. I don’t understand any adults who watch and follow children they don’t know online.
I was addicted to FB before having kids. When i was pregnant with my first i deleted it. I didn't want to be the mom on my phone all day. I watch youtube when the kids are asleep and that keeps me in the news loop since i don't have cable. Phone addiction is strong. I have never had addictions otherwise but I truly wish smart phones never existed. I want to be on it all the time and i think that is what these parents suffer from. They lack the self awareness to see how it affects their children and that is so sad. Most of the people watching them are adult men or other children. Some parents even pander to the pedo men and childrem watching think these things are normal. We are warping societal norms. Everything is getting so messed up.
I'm glad to see more and more parent content where the kids are either not present in the videos or if they are, it's minimal and their faces are blurred out. The parents focus more on their own jobs as parents rather than the kids as actors in their videos. It's why i unfollowed and blocked several family channels, even though the content was more down to earth and not in that way too pretentious 'watch my kid discover rain for the first time!' kind of way (even though i acknowledge that 'down to earth' can also be manufactured). I think more and more people are developing a sense for how wrong it is to upload their kids behaviour all the time. I just hope it isn't too late for many of those children.
These children may look happy because this is the only reality they've ever known; they don't know any different than this. But having your entire life exposed to thousands or millions of unknown people on the Internet should be consensual and an informed decision as far as these children are concerned. Later in life this exposition will take its toll, in the form of trauma, resentment, anger, behavioral and cognitive issues, lack of emotional intelligence and social skills, etc.
I always wonder how do these children feel about being in front of the cameras all the time since their early life. And what would happen if they don't get the fame when they grow up. It must be difficult
These women do this because they're either frustrated with their lives and can't handle their kids, so they'll post them online. Most of them want to be famous and, of course, it's the money. They'll never admit it, though!😒
I am aware about this many years ago. Me and my husband's choose not to expose anything about our family. Our social media itself even not connecting to each other Our photo's and video only for our documentation and sometimes we watching it together on the weekend We also often telling and give an explanation to our children the reason behind why they didn't hv their own cellphone and why we have restrictions about screen time etc
More you share your baby with the world, more your baby belongs to the world rather than to you. If these followers really cared about the wellfair of your baby they would come to your home and ask.
Making money out of their children. Anything and everything about and for the money. My 18-year old always reminds me to never post her face on social media, minimise any post about her. We don't have our real name posted online. She will always say - minimise your digital footprints. I don't follow any influencers with children involved.

@19:39 that was distressing. But if it wasn't online they might have not been caught.
Sheesh.....anything for attention and money. Sickening
Right
"I love you very much" .... with all due respect, no you don't. You don't parade someone you love for money.
This is frightening! I could never do that to my children and agree it should be regulated as a modelling job would. Also, vulnerability should be taken away from it - it’s not right to report from the child’s personal space. I feel so bad for these little people who undoubtedly are in the predatory gaze with their parents consent.
Childish parents, shame on them
It should be against the law to put your children on social media. They cannot consent.
parents doing with their kids forc3d labor, human traff1cking, and s1avery in a sociably accepted way
Parents are sick now a days.
In the 90’s when i was a child we learned about children rights..
It’s crazy to me that there’s no law about this
What about the rights to their image?
I would never ever put anything about my kids or other family on social media - way too many crazies out there!
Time wasting .. comparing..envying .. depression ...crime ... trafficking.. bullying...
Gloomy future.
Stop multiplying, please
I haven’t posted a single photo of my daughters on SM. It’s just out of protectiveness (I wasn’t even sure from what).
We do take loads of photos & videos but they’re only shared w/ family & close friends.
I didn’t have any strong feeling re sharenting, but seeing this video I’m wondering if this should be made illegal. After all kids cannot really give their consent to this exposure.
Needing external validation on social media is one thing, using your children to do so is on another level of terrible.
The Truman Show in real life 😥
You always provide such great content!
Thanks for watching, we are happy to hear you are enjoying our content :)
I could never imagine serving my children up on a silver platter like this to predators. I don’t understand any adults who watch and follow children they don’t know online.
Can these children bring lawsuits against their parents? Exploitation...
In the 90’s when i was a child we learned about children rights..
What do children learn today ??
Wave to the camera
Glad those American Parents lost custody. All these people need Psychological help.
Looks like the movie. The Truman show
I was addicted to FB before having kids.
The problem are the people who like and subscribe to these influencers.
I always wonder how do these children feel about being in front of the cameras all the time since their early life. And what would happen if they don't get the fame when they grow up. It must be difficult
People look at me and laugh because i dont use any media. This is it. Comments...on youtube 🤷
MySpace ruined it for me. That was my last social media participation other than UA-cam comments.
My sister tried to get me to go on Facebook, but I just couldn't; I can't deal with this social media nonsense!🧐
incredible report! thank you, DW 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
These women do this because they're either frustrated with their lives and can't handle their kids, so they'll post them online. Most of them want to be famous and, of course, it's the money. They'll never admit it, though!😒
the first woman
she uses her kids as a content in socmed 😢
to make money
I am aware about this many years ago. Me and my husband's choose not to expose anything about our family. Our social media itself even not connecting to each other
Our photo's and video only for our documentation and sometimes we watching it together on the weekend
We also often telling and give an explanation to our children the reason behind why they didn't hv their own cellphone and why we have restrictions about screen time etc
Feeding your baby organic vegan milk!? Ummmmm... that's not good. It seems like these influencers are highly subject to influence.
It's criminal!
I read the title first as
"The dangers of sharting"
I mean they sre quite obvious
Watching from Indonesia. Thank you DW ❤
