  • Jake and Riley spend an evening in the fur shed switching over beaver pelts on wire hoops. This becomes a nightly process during the peak of fur season. Each pelt spends 2-4 days on the hoops depending on size and how clean they are fleshed. Our fur shed runs hot so drying time can be short. Many hands make light work and we often tackle this process together.

I have my beavers skined and in the freezer. Unfortunately I got some blood on them during the skinning process. Do I just wash them as in rinse before fleshing and putting them up to dry?

Are those homemade hoops or can you get em somewhere?
