It went from a watermelon into a pizza slice into a moldy bread, all while looking like it was boiling on a frying pan. I'm not sure what I was expecting but definitely not that. :D
@@PotatoMC1 The white "seeds" are a result of being bred to be seedless and are incapable of growing. Fun fact: the way they get seedless watermelons is by breeding together watermelons that have different numbers of chromosomes!
This one was really cool. Loved the "in soil" idea, with not as much air getting to it as quickly. I was secretly hoping, like a child, the seeds would sprout a plant. 😉
You're videos demonstrate the resiliency of life. The watermelon, even as it decomposes, provides nutrients and water so that new life can grow and thrive. It is weirdly beautiful.
I thought the same. It's like its life and cell structure collapses back to soil for new complex life to emerge, to bring earth in order again as life.
The commitment and editing is amazing! This channel deserves way more subs. Seeing things decompose is oddly satisfying. It would be interesting to see a time lapse of an ant farm.
I needed a video like this to show my students at 4th Grade, in a public school here in Brazil, to a class about microorganisms. Being under soil helped to show them the action of microbes without insects. thank you so much
Usually I really don't like watching things decompose, but watching it happen in soil was much more interesting (and less gross than usual for me). Also watching it reverse after it gets to the end is satisfying
How many projects do you have going on at one time? & how do you manage the smells? This one wouldnt be bad since it's in soil. But what about the others that are in open air?
@Isabella B watermelon seeds do not need to be black to sprout. color of the seed depends on the variety. i have seeds from at least half a dozen heirloom watermelons varieties and many have white seeds.
@@StereoJoseph no. The fertility of the seeds is what does that. Live soil just poses more risk to viable seeds as it opens them up to pests Edit: it's actually better to germinate seeds in a sterile soil free from fertilizer of any kind
Would love to see what happened after day 34 and beyond. Also, I wonder if being exposed to light and up against the glass made a difference. It is so interesting how little things have such huge impacts. Kinda like reducing waste.
Your videos are really amazing. They took a lot of time to film, but the result really worth the wait. Btw, may i ask how many project do you usually film simultaneously?
In chemistry, one of the fundamentals of chemistry is that the universe favors chaos and destruction. It sounds sad and scary at first but your decomposition time-lapse videos show the beauty and necessity. We much recycle the old to build the new
Thanks. This is good knowledge to know here in America, where homelessness is skyrocketing due to inflation and rising house, food, energy, and consumer goods prices. As more and more people are forced to eat out of trash bins and dumpsters, this video will help people understand how old the food is!
I was disappointed, I was waiting for the seeds to start germinating...but then I realized this was a "seedless" watermelon...not an heirloom. That would be a very good time lapse to see the slice of watermelon die only to give rise to new life. ❤️👍🌱

What kind of lens and camera do you use?
What made you want to do time lapse photography?
Put an egg in acrylic and see what happens.other channels have done it but not with time lapse

It did look like it was boiling
Cant have a better description than yours XD
Couldn’t have said it better
This watermelon is not ripe. try a ripe watermelon with black mature seeds.

The most mind blowing thing about UA-cam. Is the ideas people have to upload and spend their time on.

I love the soundtrack that you have for your videos each one is a purpose in its own it's great. It puts drama to a normally mundane unseen event.
Nature never ceases to astonish me. I was eager to witness the growth of the watermelon seeds. Thank you for this incredible timelapse.
You have the most beautiful and wholesome content on UA-cam.
You capture the (our) interconnectedness...showing how flawless it all really is.
This is a channel that only exists to show us stuff rotting and you call it beautiful content. The irony about this is that you're 100% correct! 😂
Your videos are quality! Nature is amazing. I also love the music you use 😊
So cool! I was particularly interested in the watermelon decomposing in soil!
Yeah to be honest the other parts were a bit so so.
Yes, the watermelon decomposing in soil was the only part I liked. The rest of the video was rubbish

Thanks for taking the time to do this. 👍
I wonder how long it would take for the seeds to break through the surface again.
@Isabella B Yeah this is definitely a seedless watermelon but it would be super cool to see this with one that did have fertile seeds!
