Fold Down Counter Balance Stairs

- The fold down counter balance stairs is hinged on one of the top threads, so this is the pivot point. By using 4 pulleys, a counter weight and a wire ripe, the stairs folds up and down effortlessly.

I like it. Most of these that I have been looking at at not well built as far as the stairs themselves. Yours looks rock solid. I liked your simple solution to keeping them down and where the counter weight is placed. Thanks for sharing!
Great job. I've got a quote for you. "Never saddle a dead horse".
Great job! I was looking for an easy way to store the stairs in my garage, I just found it!
This is my favorite ladder by far. Great video. 👍
looks like some nice sturdy home made pulley wheel brackets
That is really practical and beautiful made. Thank you for the video
Thank You for inspiration :)
Way cool! I love it.
This is brilliant, thank you, it shortcutted a project I'm working on here in my place to replace an old basement stairs and saved me a lot of time :)
Looks like you sourced this from an old basement stair cutout with a stiffener :)
Nice work!
Could you complete the project successful...pls share video and drawing...gurudattahr@yahoo.co.in
Very Inspirative
now that is cool!
Masterfull!
Genious!
I love it, it is exactly what I need, can you tell me how much the tread and riser measure? Thank you.
I came for the stairs, I stayed for the T150.
What did you use for a hinge for stairs ?
I looked on your website. Where is this stair system?
thats sum gangster shit! awesome
What hinge did you use?
A question the video doesn't resolve:
1) When the weights are all being used
2) a person has climbed stairs to the upper level
3) the stairs have resumed their upper position
HOW does the person get the stairs to descend, again, so they can return to the lower level? I *cannot* figure this out! Can anyone suggest how this would be done? Thanks!
You can see that when he steps on the stairs 0:27 , his weight offsets the counterbalance, which causes the stairs to come back down. I love this idea! I'm planning on something similar for my shop but with a cleaner(hidden) bottom, so it's not noticeable when it's closed.
i want it please, do you sent everywhere maybe please i would like to Peru
maybe have metal on the bottom of the lowest step and an electro magnet embedded in the floor or vice-versa to hold the stairs down and just switch off the magnet for the stairs to rise.
It is needed for me
Which cost is needed
Doesn’t look like it forms a tight seal while in the up position. Otherwise great concept
