- Canada and Puerto Rico played an elimination game in the 2024 Little League World Series.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I never thought I would see Canada of all teams score 12 runs in an inning. Not to mention during that stretch there were no outs against them.
You need to think about their opposition. Weak Puerto Rico team, they won’t do that to a team that has a chance of getting to the semi finals.
@@stann2001 they won’t but tbh I thought Puerto was much stronger than Canada and it’s not like Canada did it against one of the weaker teams such as Europe or Australia.
@@stann2001. Yeah how I see the foreign side of little league.. teams like Czech Republic, Australia, Canada and Puerto Rico are in a lower class and the rest in the top.. I don’t think we’ll see Canada or Czech Republic making it to the championship anytime soon
@@liamwhite8713 you’re 100% right I assumed Puerto Rico would have brought a stronger team also. Hey, that’s the breaks of a tournament with limited pitch counts. And these are 12 year old also.

Canadian catcher had a very bad first inning but didn't give up and had an excellent last 5 innings

He needs some coaching on his catching technique. Popping up to his feet as every pitch is thrown often puts you a bad position to block balls in the dirt, plus its distracting to the your pitcher. You want to be a steady target.
yea it was getting a bit worrisome at the beginning but sometimes you just have a terrible inning. good game for the canada team to not let that tough 1st inning effect them
Canada with yet another catcher that is more of a pole than a brick wall. These coaches just put anyone at the catcher position and then teach them nothing.
Yes, as a catcher watching this game actually hurt a bit. I have literally never seen a catcher do that bad, nevertheless in the LLWS

@@johnnyDs82 I’m 12, so? If you’re good enough to make it to the team that goes to the LLWS you would think you would be decent, or at least above average to make it on the team. I understand giving a catcher 1 or 2 passed balls because he’s twelve, but giving up multiple runs at about 10 free bases is crazy.

When I started watching I said this Canada team has no chance. PR gets top play baseball year around. And Canada plays hockey year around and not baseball year around.. Not only did Canada beat PR they beat the brakes off of them.
Little league is also considered "house league" in Canada. You put a top AAA ball team from ontario vs this candian team and they would end the game very very early. The AAA kids are already pitching at 60 feet at 13
Nah man puerto rico always disappointed me when they make it to the llws but tbh out of all the island teams that participate they might be the only ones with of age players because you’d think with all the puerto rican stars in the mlb they’d at least be final 4/8 favorites every year but they get bounced pretty early usually by another latin team or they get steam rolled by Curacao or any asian team

Little league needs to stop separating Puerto Rico and Cuba from the carribean region. The teams they send to the LLWS aren’t good enough and aren’t tested enough in their regional tournaments
Agree. I don't understand why LLB gives 5 spots to teams in Central America regions. That's half of the number of international teams.

Most of these teams from Central America are just happy to be in LLWS. Even if they don’t win. Getting here was the win. 🏆

I live about 1 mile from the stadium. I grew up in South Williamsport and played little league here (not in the championships, just locally). I wish I would have honored and respected where I was and what I was doing back then. To play little league a mile from the stadium...

My point was though, he’s only 12, meaning we should be easy on him. Imagine being him or his parents reading all these comments. It can be really overwhelming to see the whole world making fun of you online at that age. It is motivation to some kids and they use it as fuel to their fire, but to most kids it’s devastating. I’m just saying we should be more compassionate when talking about kids online.
@@johnnyDs82 I agree, that wasn’t sarcasm. I played a high level of ball at that age, comments from adults and fellow players can shatter one’s self image. That said, the onus wasn’t solely on the catcher, nor the pitcher but both at the time. But they relaxed, improved and played better ball. It was an excellent turnaround.

Im puerto rican and its sad to say the talent in puerto rican baseball has diminished severely... These puerto ricans dont play with true heart and train how they suppose to.
