Gotta say. It makes me kind of sad how many reactors/people are hyped just to see Stain but really think he would kill/hurt All Might. All Might literally is the *only* true hero in society in Stain’s eyes.

@@toodleloos But Stain never seemed to care what society thinks, but instead if somebody is a "true hero" or just an "imposter/in it for the fame".
This isn't really true, he respected Deku's heroism enough to decide he wasn't going to kill him either. You could argue he respects Deku to some degree as a hero.
I mean idk what he thinks of current Deku though, I haven't read the manga.

in fairness, it’s revealed literally chapters later that stain doesn’t recognise him and calls him something along the lines of an ‘all might imposter’
People wanted "cool" Deku, but this is him at the cost of his physical and mental health. He's "sucked it up" and now emotionally constipated. It's a reminder that pretending that you're fine all the time and starving yourself emotionally isn't necessarily the strength you may think it is... actually it could be quite the opposite as a weakness that eats at you internally.
I’m hyped for Cool Deku BECAUSE he’s broken, if a character has a depression arc I wanna see how they act, it makes me more interested in him, which I admit, is really fucked up, but I prefer my MCs to be a flickering lightbulb than I shining sun.
@Near8Air It's fine to like this Deku (Deku been cool for me btw, I put cool in quotes) as I like seeing depressed side too for the character exploration - but I mean some that idealized this image too much that he should stay this way as a lone wolf. That's like wanting Thorfin in Vinland Saga to remain as his S1 self because it was cool to see him killing people, even if it was unhealthy for him mentally.
It’s just a character arc that Deku is going through people like it because it’s interesting we never seen this before from Deku and he’s finally active and being a real g doing everything he was trained for that’s the Deku we always wanted it’s not about his state of mind we agree that his state of mind isn’t good rn and he must improve but overall vigilante Deku is the best Deku imo he’s doing what needs to be done
@Raul Pernas Nah, the real reason why is because people just want to see edgy and "cool" characters. There's nothing wrong with that, though.
@Raul Pernas I get the sentiment, but he actually is being played in the hands of AFO here at this point. Earlier in the arc, he was fine, but now he actually not on a good path because he's being manipulated by the enemy, to be more reactive than active. He's not doing what he needs to be done because he is not resting leaving him vulnerable for later. So while I like this exploration of Deku for his character, this isn't a positive development.

Yep, there's no ill intent coming from Stain. He only hates fake heroes and he considers All Might and Deku as true heroes.

You know who really caught me off guard mt lady, you can tell how much she has changed this season she went from a hero who only cares about status to actually giving a fuck about society and dekus own well being she changed a lot and for the better she actually became a top 10 character imo good shit 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Mt Lady is a real one and both her and Kamui Woods along with the recently retired Death Arms have all been here since the 1st chapter
Deku’s not really acting differently, he’s just really giving in to his self-sacrificial/giving nature.

But this is deku...Only way he is getting the "Beats" is when he is either tired,weak or holding back which is most likely gonna happen next ep.
@@Melly2times came here to say this lmao. No single character in this series besides AFO and shigaraki would even get close to giving deku the “beats” at this point. Even his entire class factually would not be able to handle him if it were a full power death match.

One thing I will note about Deku’s hero costume, in this arc especially, is how much darker and grittier it’s gotten ever since the beginning of the series. Cause We all remember, do you remember how bad it was back in season one, but now it’s actually cool to look at. It’s like Deku went from Batman to freaking Spawn wearing the Venom Symbiont.
I remember the chapter Deku left All Might came out on Father’s Day too😭.
I don't know how this show is this far in and still manages to hit these emotional feel good beats. When the crew came back.....😥

that scene where all might tried grabbing deku and he flew away was a nice call back to the first episode where deku grabbed all might as he flew away, only difference is all might couldn’t catch him in time
Honestly at first I thought this "new" deku was badass but with each passing episode he would slowly become more drained,more tired, he really is becoming own worst enemy in a sense, a shell of his former self
Deku really doesn't care for himself and instead puts others first and this is that mindset that he's always had being pushed to the extreme so it's very self-destructive
Kudos to Stephan to recognize Stain. And remember Stain character.
And All Might remembers how stubborn he was to Nighteye.
He said stain wasn’t necessarily a villain, that’s not true. He killed ppl he deemed unworthy and paralyzed Idas brother and almost killed Ida as well

@ITz Candy Did you read my comment? I was praising Stephan for remembering Stain character because a lot of reactors I watch think Stain will be for AFO side... I'm not saying Stain is a villian or not... I'm saying people forget Stain's characteristics and assume he will be like the rest.
In society eyes and his actions, Stain did wrong, yes. But what Stain wanted was to weed out fake heroes. Ida brother actually isn't a real hero as he was doing it for frame mostly. Also if you go read My Hero Acadamia Vigilantes... back when Stain was the Vigilante Stendhal. He used to murder villians... but after his fight with Knuckleduster and the talk... he see came to the conclusion the problem wasn't only the Villians but the heroes as well as they weren't like Knuckleduster. Stain also praised All Might as a true hero back in season 2.
One of my favorite details is how the development of Deku’s mask from its initial design to now was most likely intentional. The V in All Mights hair was meant to represent victory while the smile was the thing that brought peace to people he saved. So in the beginning it makes sense that in his childlike fantasies, (and low budget thanks to his mother) causes his hero costume to be a goofy, bright and slightly charming fan cosplay of All Mights Visage.
But now after everything that’s happened, the next time he’s wearing the full mask and hood in the series, we more that he embodies the path All Might took, the more that his mask literally gets corrupted and monstrous from walking that lifestyle. It looking silly then was meant to show his optimism, which has all but vanished into a cowl of despair and anxiety. It really brings the series all around in a full circle.
Yk what really makes this episode sadder tho this is exactly what all for one wants, to indirectly force and pressure deku to shred himself one by one. You notice that some people are saying "oh this deku is soooo much cooler" not understanding that deku is starting to lose his sanity, losing his friends first, realising that the world is more complex than Heroes/Villians, him walking away from all might, losing his smile.
If you were going to state that to someone, they wouldn't suspect that being deku! So him being stopped by his friends can potentially bring deku back to his true self and even stain understands that since he is one of the true hero along with all might 😔😔😔
I know by now the "power of friendship" is very cliche in anime but this show does such a great job at representing true friendship with it's up and down it's precious 😭
Deku has started to get paranoid about how much harm he will bring to those who are around him after All for One vows to break him. That’s why he’s been avoiding those around him and fighting nonstop without resting
deku was beyond tireddddd imagine running around for days/ weeks without getting sleep and food in ya stomach

Nobody really pays much attention to how crazy deku is in the head which can be dated back all the way to episode 2 to the lengths he would go to save another person. Now that craziness is more prominent.
I always said he looked more like a villain than hero when he fought Todoroki
This whole arc is basically a higher stakes version of the scene from episode 3 I think where Deku overworked himself in his training with All Might to the point he collapsed. All Might's reaction back then was even the same too. He was like "You shouldn't be overworking yourself, but I can't criticise your attitude"
Deku read some batman comics.
Things to remember about Stain, He saw All Might as the one true hero, He acknowledged Deku as a true hero as well and All Might had set up a meeting with Stain in season 5 but it didn’t happen.
I am so happy about that you figured out that it is Stain and that he wouldn't do something bad to all might. Many people think the opposite which don't make sense to me. 🤝🏻
If y’all don’t remember….All Might *was* supposed to have a chat with Stain but it got postponed before the War….🤔
Also, notice how All Might is trying to be the Nighteye to Deku and trying to stop him, and how both of the OFA successors were too stubborn to stop.
15:19 - Given the story direction with citizens housed at school and state of society, school activities wouldn't return as normal. They are basically in the modern apocalyptic type era in much of Japan. lol Also from meta prospective, in the final act of series, so plot moving more so towards the end.

After this arc there are only two more arcs left (4 volumes and the final volume is still ongoing due to Hori having major health issues and only being able to realise a chapter every 3 weeks or so).
So yeah, we are in the endgame but what happens in the final fight really overshadowed everything from the war arc. The writing gets really good, cause you can tell Hori knew from the beginning how he wanted it to end.
I hope stain gets nervous trynna talk to all might cus obviously he was his biggest fan 😂. We all want an awkward stain moment

5:28 I mean Stan was a villain. He killed heroes to go through with his ambition of taking out all fake heroes. While you may agree with his philosophy he was still extreme in his methods, which is what made him a villain.

What's sad is that all those heroes who're throwing in the towel won't be viewed as genuine heroes once all this is over. Say what if they choose to be heroes again once society is back to normal. They'll be viewed as "meh" heroes instead of real heroes. Not unless the citizens develop a deeper appreciation toward heroes.
Thought so too, heck maybe they themselves would think that. The fact that they once ran away, will haunt them for the rest of their lives seeing a thriving society.

Stain saw All Might as the pinnacle of what a True Hero is/was, So much so he almost had an obsession with All Might being the perfect Hero, Stain may not be a Hero, But dk if Id consider him a Villain exactly, But executing any Heroes for not being True Heroes is still very Villainous, But All Might should consider himself lucky it was none other...

Dang, they changed the “you’d never guess he was a hero” dialogue, and they didn’t put nearly as much emphasis on that scene as they did in the manga. Not surprised tho, saw it coming.

Deku genuinely looks horrifying in some of the shots in this episode, the way they’ve aged his costume and made all the edges sharp, just further adds to the sense of darkness his character seems to be drifting towards - the gang came in at probably the perfect time but I wouldn’t underestimate his ability, he could v well get away from them without necessarily hurting any of them.
Stain would NEVER kill all might. And dekus danger sense didnt go off so theres no danger around him
Ill let you know right now their is no way they are stoping him if he intends to fight them now if he only tries to run away (which is more likely) then yeah they have a chance at restraining him
This is one of those examples of being too selfless. Usually its seen as a positive trait but when it goes to the point that your ignoring your own physical, emotional and mental needs and is in fact doing damage to them is when its time to pump the brakes. Also thinking he can't handle them now even while tired is wild lol deku at this point is the number 1 hero in all but title

Once this season ends, there are only like 3 more arcs left in the series to cover. (Two mini arcs and then the final big one) The manga is currently in its climax and should be ending this year. Season 7 will be the final season.

the only thing holding me back from calling this one of my favorite adaptions of an arc in anime is the EXTREME dissapointment i felt when that "dark deku" panel wasnt as cool as it was in the manga. cool nonetheless, but i literally almost died reading it in the manga.
This season alone has astronomically jumped Deku up in my fav anime character list. Kinda sad to see how broken he is but he’s just tired of everything now and gives no fucks and will destroy everyone 😂 Batman arc has begun
