At the end of the day, it's sport. I wouldn't want to be gifted anything. I'd want to feel i'd competed to win and then won. Is that not what it's about? It's up to them to beat him.

Pogi, in Philippines, is good-looking...and also, he IS looking good in every race. Our word "pogi" came from reversed Spanish "guapo", so "po-gua" ultimate became "POGI"...just a trivia.😊

Bottom line is that there is prize money for stage wins and Tadej has an obligation to his team to make that money pile as big as possible.
Tadej won not only the Giro and the Tour but may be the first rider to hit the double-six.

Does anyone expect the likes of Simone Biles to ease up and lose so her competition feels better? (which they wouldn’t, they would probably be insulted). Didn't think so. So enjoy the show, it won't be too long anyway before some younger, stronger person eclipses even Tadej.

Why would Tadej give up a win to anyone? If this had happened and whoever was gifted the win will feel worse, as he knows who actually won and his victory is completely hollow and fake. In fact, the person who is gifted the win may feel insulted.
