Have to disagree: As someone who doesn't like a majority of Chaos Island's music, but loves the 5th, 6th, and 7th Movements, and classical music, along with different genres, they're good but different. As a whole Sonic doesn't really have “a genre” SEGA more skips around, while commonly landing on jazz, rock, rap, pop, more classical, metal, upbeat, and feel good. Regardless Sonic's music production is good, varied, and a bit unpredictable. SEGA's been producing music since about the 70s or 80s, almost everything they make is excellent. As for artists and bands, they can get about anyone, (look at Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic R, His World, Endless Possibilities, Mania, good chunk of Forces OST, Vandalize, One Way Dream) as they throw yen/usd at the music budget.
