You should make a video on different rig builds of the Komodo. Something like a run&gun, a medium setup, and a bigger production rig. Would be nice to see different ways to configure it!
Thanks a ton Daniel! So I am testing the SmallHD focus pro now. I have not been in bright daylight. But it is compact and has Komodo control. The atomos shinobi should be great too. I have used the ninja V before on other cameras and dig it. osee produces very bright screens and may be worth a look at and so are the portkeys.
I just have to say it, that Greg guy is very charismatic and handsome even despite the mask! Some of his best work since "skipping around Washington monument" circa 2016
SO, now the Komodo is going retail, did you get any firmware update to fix that laggy touchscreen ? Or maybe improve the autofocus (that didn't shine during your video).
I did! I have not tested latency but it's good enough to fly the gimbal and clarity for focus is decent. But obviously you cannot control the camera at all. So that sucks.
Solid video as always. The Komodo's control app is honestly what I'm most impressed with. Cant wait to see where camera control apps are in the next few years.

I was quite impressed by the video transmission system by the Mars 400S and how far you can transmit! more importantly I was able to download some RED Komodo 6k footage from Driven Films and my computer was able to handle the 6k raw footage like it was nothing but have issues with my GH5 when trying to playback in real time. Huge game changer. I will be purchasing the RED Komodo in the future for my wedding videography for sure! Keep up the great work, I love your content and excitement about the RED Komodo and the RED Brand in general. I look forward to see what you come out with next!

Thanks a lot Gabo! Yes, absolutely. As you can see they were running all at the same time and operate independently. Mars 400s through the SDI port and REDControl through the Komodo WiFi. - I frankly have not tried it as I only have one apple mobile device nor read yet what the max device number is. Once android app is out I can answer that Q

This is pro stuff for critical workflows, but for me Komodo RED Control + RavenEye on RS2 = two remote systems that satisfy my every need :)

The software is technically still in beta BUT the lag is minimal and AF improved since the last update. You will see the latter in my video next week
Did you get a Raveneye unit with your DJI RS2? I'm curious how that compares with REDControl.
