    3:33 Just note for artists: Distance parameter depends on your object's scale.
    7:00 idk why, but my glass material changed its roughness to 100% when I disconnected a bitmap, so need to reduce it to 0.01% again.

    Wish you showed us the stool texturing process, looks insane!

      Parts 3 and 4 where we texture the violin should give you the info you need (you would just need to go with stronger effects, ie more contrasty maps, but all the principles are there) - ua-cam.com/video/RlQGwcy5VXg/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/j2yaHMcg8AA/v-deo.html . Hope that helps! Tom

    man I love these, thank you so much for getting straight to the point and having so many available options. Im having an issue in C4D. I want to import a car asset from my PC that is from chaos cosmos but I can get the model in fine but the materials don't load at all. Any way I can fix that in a quick tutorial?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 роки тому

      Hi! That would be a question for the support team rather than the tutorial team - head over to support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new to send in the issue so we can look into it, because it should work just fine and if it isn't working, that sounds like a bug.
      Also, thanks for the kind words about these tutorials, glad you are finding them useful! Thanks! Tom

      @@ChaosCorona good to know. Because I like to travel and Id like to be able to do my work without needing wifi. But its not that big of a deal I could just import everything into a file and organize it so i just need to copy and paste it into my scene

      @@ChaosCorona my other question is if you can turn the corona proxy into an actual mesh, for example the cars look great and id like to put them into a car rig that someone made but all there is, is just a mesh that has no seperate items like wheels windows etc

      @@JakeMMC As a note if you are going to be on a machine that will for some reason be offline for a while, you can always "Borrow" the license onto that machine, see support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020330337-Do-I-need-to-have-Internet-access-to-use-Chaos-products- just as another option if internet is not guaranteed. @@JakeMMC A Corona Proxy has a "Duplicate to Mesh" button in the Object tab, which should do what you are looking for. Can't say the mesh will be divided up into the necessary sub-parts, but it will be in mesh format at least. Hope that helps! Tom

    Very grateful. How make ice in water?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 роки тому +1

      To be honest, this is a bigger question that can easily be answered on UA-cam and I'd suggest asking over on our forums at forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 . On the one hand it's easy, just drop in the ice geometry and use a glass-like material but with IOR etc. set appropriately for ice, but on the other hand it depends if you want parts of the ice opaque and white where it froze with tiny air bubbles and imperfections, whether you want actual airbubbles in the ice, whether you want the water surface to be distorted around the ice... so sharing an example image of what kind of result you are going for would be good, and that is possible on the forums, as are longer answers and screen grabs of settings in replies :) Thanks! Tom

    you really need to make a tutorial on material masks for C4D, putting an ID to each material doesn't work, if an object has several materials and you want a mask for each material it's impossible.
    please make a tutorial on this🙏
