Excellent video. More walkthrough on unzipping and reaching through to bolt on the base. Music was a no-go I felt like I was walking into Cracker Barrel.
Nothing is ever as easy as it is on a youtube video. Trust me, I just spent an hour outside in 90F heat trying to figure out what all those straps and zippers are for and how to reach under the mattress on the side that folds... it ain't easy.
I have a 2018 F150 with a 60in Yakima Jetstream rack. Will this tent fit? Also, the whole Yakima set has a total load rating of only 350lbs. Does this tent feature any way of distributing weight evening across the bars?
This is way past valid for you but.. I struggled with the whole weight thing, the dynamic vs static and I still don't get it. But what I do get is that the weight limit is determined at a single point on the cross bars (or the rack) and as the tent has a broad, wide base sitting on two long rails, whatever weight is inside is distributed across the roof rack. I'll find out if I'm right tomorrow when I take the thing on the road. If it's good, great! If it's not - it will warn the driver behind me not to follow so closely.
That's what I said too. Then I went on too many trips where I found excellent campsites but they didn't have enough room to set up a tent or land smooth enough to do so. For the advantage of being able to set up anywhere it's worth it.
@@icram45 Yup. I got that figured out. So here's the next question: on the outside of the tent at each corner are 'ties' (straps with a bar at the end) that nothing reaches. What are they for? I've been in the tent 4 nights out of 5 for the past few months and it's great but I can't figure those out. And the cover... what a bitch sometimes!

SO much easier than reading the instructions!
The instruction manual is the cutest manual I've ever seen.
how can you put two washers under each of the mounting tracks when you only provide us with 4?
Shouldn't the burs already be filed down? Still want tf out of one of these..
Excelente ilustración.
La mejor que he visto
Can you install the mounting tracks perpendicular to the opening hinge or only parallel?
What was the hacksaw for?
Jim Dugan
Where can I find replacement sliders that slide into the tent channel rail?

Where do the little bungee cords go?
Inside, to pull the fabric inward as you fold the tent up. Should be some plastic clips on the inside of tent walls
Is the included hardware stainless?
Can it be mounted to fold off to the back door instead?
Yes, you have to install the rails the opposite way and cut off the excess.
what prevents it from sliding left and right when the vehicle is moving?
Phil W @4:59 the mounting plates ! And 2 nyloc nuts on each corner
I was thinking the same thing haha
my hinges are not engaging and I don’t know why

These things are over $2,000, lol. No thanks!

What are the small bungees for?
Did you ever figure it out?
@@austinlopez333 I'm still trying to figure it out.
@@JeffinBville haha
You have to attach them inside so they will pull in the side layers of the tent in order for a less wrinkled/easier closing.
