First is Moog Muse 2nd OB-6 last is Matriarch. I’m looking for the classic Tomita rest in peace Moog sound. Not sure if the Moog Muse will fit the boat. He did layer track over track with the Moog modular. The sound he created was incredible not including the melotron for the orchestral sounds. Listen to Bolero that huge saw tooth layer over layers of tracking sound is unreal.
Wow there is a huge difference between the MUSE and the OB-6. Both unique. The MUSE has that moogish sound, the OB 6 seems more open and more brassy sounding with a bit more grit. Both wonderful. Filters make a significant difference in this clip. Wasn’t too impressed with matriarch, sounded muddy. Thanks for the video
The 3rd one sounded quite a bit darker. Is that the Matriarch? I hope it is not the Muse because really want one but this is too dark for me. It needs way more harmonic content than that (so either filter open up more, or brighter VCOs)
@@NGC0Music That's good to know. This means I will probably get a Muse soon. Of course I need to play with it in person first, as soon as the local music stores in my country actually get some stock (Netherlands)
Such videos don't make any sense to me because there are simply overlaps in analog synths. The differences and respective strengths would be much more exciting. But such videos wouldn't be so easy to put out.
@@GoldToni-z2t That’s for sure. It was just a quick video I made for fun while comparing my go-to lead patches on each synth, I don’t think I have the patience to make a really in-depth video of the nuances and differences Haha (And I think we can already find such videos on YT anyway).
@@NGC0Music unfortunately almost all such videos show overlaps not differences. There is a video in which the Prophet rev4 and an OB-X8 are compared and in 4 patches they sound very close - which does not mean in any way, that you get both synths by purchasing just one of them.

You’re correct. And I see you have great sources of inspiration. And since you’ve mentioned great Japanese names, check Ryuichi Sakamoto as well.

Thanks for the video
Matriarch and even the Muse are not so great for silky leads.
can't tell I don't own either of them.. waiting on the matriarch to come in. they all sound great though
Congrats on getting a Matriarch, it’s one of the coolest synths I’ve had my hands on.
@@NGC0Music it looks like it’s a lot of fun to work with and do some pretty cool sounds

@@pboelenful it’s the Matriarch indeed, very good ears.

The first one is in unison? So I'm guessing that's the Muse?
@@petewigley9985 Smart!
@@NGC0Music Could have been the OB6. I wasn't sure. It sounds similar.
Im confused which is which ?i have no idea
@@Fallingoverbackwards Wanna guess?
