The animation in this episode is actually amazing. Just imagine if the rest of the show looked like this.
it was right around this time they started cutting corners of some of the animation because they pulled off alot of the animator to work on the broly movie.

This episode was not only strong because of the animation, but also because of the fights and the development of Vegeta as he learned to see a pattern in Jiren's attacks :D

No the development of vegeta comes from him abandoning ultra instinct jiren says he is filled with ego and that’s his next form

The animation in this episode is so fire
Goku’s gotten alot stronger since the beginning of the tournament. He’s been pushed really hard and pushing past his limits repeatedly. That’s how he was able to keep up with Jiren like that and can hold his own more.🔥🔥
Yea notice how in his first fight with jiren jiren was bodying him in blue and in kaioken easily and this episode he was tanking those same attacks and trading blows much easier now
what about Vegeta?
also jiren was starting to get hurt more often, first ui sign then hit then vegeta, so his power was (at least a little) weaker, same for stamina
The pride speech Vegeta gives Jiren before and while charging up the Final Flash is one of my favorites from DragonBall, and I also like that they finally made Vegeta decide to follow his own path to power and not try to emulate Goku, also 15:15 i really love that shot

The art of this episode was the best, if not one of the best, of this whole arc maybe even Dragon ball Super. When I first watched this episode, it blew my mind that 1 episode could have many great moments especially for Vegeta. I actually rewatched it several times, its just too good. Great episode as always Aimin keep up the content :)
P.S: When Goku said that he hadnt see Vegeta ever power up like that, that was because Goku didnt witness Vegeta's Final Flash against Cell.

But Goku has seen the final flash before, unless the one he used against cell was different. Makes sense since Final Flash became a glorified Galick Gun in super

The beginning of the episode was and the standoff/staredown was my favorite in all of dragonball. The music, the animation, and the feeling you get because you know the stakes AND because you realize there are so many unlikely allies on your side (like Frieza) It was so cool and gave me goosebumps when I first saw it
This is one of my favorite episodes, the scream of pain in Vegeta in Japanese was more dreadful, sounded like Jiren just bout killed Vegeta, great 👍 reaction dude 😎

Since DBS end is near, would like to mention vegeta has really amazing eyesight right from the start of DBZ he saw goku's movement when nobody could, saw fight with beerus & here the quick punches of jiren. This Episode was 🔥 & so was its reaction
If u notice, this version of blue is stronger than previous blue due to having going ui two times, causing him to recover.that's the crazy thing about goku,his recovery is insane😊
It's called Perfected Super Saiyan Blue (or Mastered)
Him going UI really didn’t help his Blue form. He definitely got exhausted but the Zenkai you need to recover from a near death experience. The only time Goku came back from near death in the T.O.P would probably be when MUI ran out

I remember back in the day... Before this chapter my friends and I were talking about Vegeta reaching UI. Talking about a offensive UI instead of the defensive style of Goku. When Vegeta watched and then dodged the attack I went Nucking Futs! Rewinded that part about 20 times!

Vegeta once said that if a sayian is at the bridge of death,and he recovers,he gets stronger,so it's literally gonna give Vegeta or goku a big power boost when he recovers,if u notice ,when goku faught kale with SSJ blue,he didn't do shit
But after recovering for a while,he was able to compete with LSSJ kale and SSJ 2 kalifla with super Saiyan 2,
At that time ,this version of SSJ 2 was stronger than previous SSJ blue😊
No it wasn't. People fail to realise that Berserk Kale was overpowering Goku because her adrenaline was past its peak. At that point it wasn't Kale, it was an entirely different person. Rage and madness can do wonders in this show. This has nothing to do with zenkais. They might as well have forgotten about that. If you think a weak Goku in SSJ2 was stronger than Blue when he first fought Kale, you're outta your mind.
@@NeonClaws Not really, the Kale that fought goku in her controlled state was stated to be stronger than rage Kale since she could use her power far more effectively. And remember Both Goku And Vegeta can use super sayian blue surpress their power by a lot, so it could be that goku actually held back alot against Kale back then. Besides he didn’t even get a single scratch from her and Jiren defeated her with one blow, and he fought jiren took several blows and he was still able to fight him in top condition.

The thing with the Saiyans is... the more they fight strong opponents, the stronger they get. In this nearly 40 minutes tournament, every Saiyan breached their former level of power to reach a new level. Especially the Saiyans from Universe 6. None of them knew, that the Super Saiyan existed before they met U7 Saiyans and even the weaker Cabba reached SSJ 2 within half an hour, Caulifla and Kale not to mention
On 14:59 - 15:18, the way that jiren teleports in front of vegeta, he blast him with the dotodoya's try something
