I'm 275 and use 10oz top king super air for bag and pad but 16 for sparring. I like the 10 so I can focus on techniques and getting good contact. I found 16 oz gloves are too easy to hit pads and bags incorrectly but still get a good feel.
My venum gloves have a very soft padding, if I hit someone they barely feel it. My opponents' gloves, full contact, katsudo, ben lee, are all harder. It's enough if he just pokes me with it and I can already feel the effect. Are the twins soft gloves?we sparring on 10 OZ.. Twins are the best? The bgvl3?
i actually have the revgear gloves, been using them on the heavy bag for about 8 months now as of today. i am a muscular 5 ft 7' 160lb guy n i hit reasonably hard for my weight. i always use long handwraps. and i use a 150lb weighted leather heavy (completely filled with fine grade sawdust so my heavybag can get very dense) .So far these these gloves have survived the punishment (i.e. the padding is holding up well)! My left gloves are more worn out tho due to the fact that i throw a lot more jabs with my left hand. i rate them 7.5 out of 10!!
This might sound like a stupid question, but are your products on your website authentic / legitimate? For example, are your Fairtex gloves imported from thailand / are the official ones?
Yes; we wouldn't even consider copies. I've seen copies of major brands and some are even good quality but its not the point we only sell authentic products if you want copies go to Ebay
I am a begginer and am thinking of buying a pair of 14 oz reyes for sparring but also want to buy a pair of 16 oz gloves for heavy bag work - what would you recommend? Also where about is your store?
S1ickA2K depending on your weight brother, for example if you 150 an or bigger you should buy the 16oz clero reyes. best gloves in the market! Durability I know my coach has a pair that he lends to young guys just starting an they are 10 years old an are in great conditions. With the 16oz you can do everything from sparing to hitting the light to heavy bag. It does not matter if you get the Velcro or laces that just preference.
I bought a 12oz wesing aiba yesterday but it felt so tight with wraps. Iam 190cm and 74cm so maybe that's why. Gonna exchange it with 14 or maybe a different brand
Can someone explain this to me I just ordered a pair of Top King Air gloves from Thailand..are these Muay Thai gloves or boxing gloves...? I assumed they were Muay Thai
Alex, are Fairtex sanctioned for professional boxing fights? I know they make boxing-specific gloves but wondered if they've been recognised in that way yet.
FightstorePro great video. I wanted to buy Fairtex bgv1 gloves but after watching you're videos I'm leaning towards the Revgear s3 for heavy bag work. My RDX gloves just aren't cutting it. I am 6 foot, 190kg. What weight should I go with? I am a hard puncher. Also, I am having trouble finding the Revgear here in the US. Thanks.
I would like to buy these gloves "Pretorian Kong Hand Training" ... I asked once in the store of Pretorian in Shopping and the attendant said that they think they stopped manufacturing because they had a lot of time that they did not send ... In several virtual stores it appears as exhausted ... Where can it be bought?
I fight at 145 and constantly have hand issues. Iv used winning and rival but still have issue whatbwould you recommend using for sparring and bag work.
Hi Jarret - have you been using the bag-specific Rival gloves i.e. the RB series, such as the RB10 Intelli-Shock: www.fightstorepro.com/brands/rival-boxing/rival-rb10-intelli-shock-bag-gloves-black-red.html
Cleto Reyes training glove I bought were horrible. Anyhow I’m defo visiting this shop in the new year as I’m sick of buying gloves off the internet and then not being happy with them
120lbs 5'5ft ... For Muay Thai.... What size gloves for Training/mitts/light sparring? Also for heavy sparring? I want to buy 2 seperate gloves. Which weight/sizes should I go for?
There's actually only as I know sizes of gloves for kids are sold and I would probably recommend 12 ounce gloves because they protect your knuckles and don't hurt your sparring partner to much
I’m 1,72cm and around 63-65 kg, with very small bones (circumference around the knuckles around 19cm, 18,8cm from middle finger to wrist). Is there any brand that you could recommend? I have two benlee gloves, one size medium for the bags and one 14oz for Partner work. The bag gloves fit very tight, but feel comfortable, but the 14oz are just huge compared to my hands.
Hi Chris, definitely worth checking out the new DB1 from Diablo. They have really snug hand compartments and I think would serve you well. You can see the DB1 here: www.fightstorepro.com/brands/diablo/diablo-boxing-sparring-gloves-db1-black.html We also had a boxer do a review on the glove recently, which you can read here: www.fightstorepro.com/blog/2018/05/04/diablo-db1-boxing-glove-big-review/
Hello FightstorePro, great video, thank you! :) You exactly talk about the relevance of size, build and weight of the customer vs what glove might then be right for that person in particular, which is exactly what i am trying to understand at the moment, so perhaps you can help me find a suited glove for me? :) :) I am new to boxing, but i am serious about it and I would prefer to go for quality gloves right away vs trying to cut corners on quality to save money. In terms of my build, I am 170 cms tall and weigh 57-58 kilo, so i am slimly built and i have small hands as well. I dont mind laces instead of velcro either . Which brand and model of glove do you think might be right for me then? I really hope you can help me out and put me on the right path, because it really is a jungle for a newbie to manouver in the glove market. Thank you once more! :) Claus
thanks for the video. On your recommendation I bought the revgear Sentinel and out of the box I really like them. I bought top king shin guards but I am wondering if I should have gotten revgear shin pads also. I'll try to do a follow-up review in time on the gloves
I haven't actually tried Yokkaw. I know the guy who had the UK distribution who reported a lot of quality control issues but i have zero personal experience of them. Twins are always reliable. Also check out Danger equipment
@@FSPRO thanks. I'm starting up kickboxing again. I currently got some ringhorns nitro gear, great quality for the price. When I get a bit more serious I'll upgrade. Thanks for the reply.
I'm not going to be ignorant and say grant because they're overly expensive but winnings are about $100 more than Reyes but have the best knuckle protection out there.

If they had the intelligence to come up with their own stuff would be nice, instead they copy the original. Besides I guarantee my stuff for life, they won't do that you can bet on it.
My story is true, and I've only stated the facts. You know nothing about what happened and obviously know nothing about patents. The patent is on file at the patent office, look it up smart ass.
Grant are great but firstly crazy expensive and secondly not as consistent in their manufacture as Reyes are so we always plump for Reyes however they are a different glove and if you have £300 to spare then they are an interesting choice
If you take ur boxing seriously there's only 5 brands worth considering; Everlast. Reyes, Grant, Winning and since recently Rival. The rest is irrelevant...
Which means you haven't seen the majority of the Everlast stuff in Europe. Reyes, Grant, Winning all excellent. Rival 20% excellent 80% not so great. RS11V and Rs2 are great.
Carbon Claw are generally good value and made by a guy who spent 25 years with a top British Boxing company I think your comment is evidently hiding an agenda. No one would say Carbon Claw are comparable to gloves of over twice their value but they do a great job in their price bracket.
CLETO REYES " i use these cuz i can ... SAVAGE LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂
I watched this and then phoned the shop for advice - they're amazing! Super helpful and definitely recommend them!
Thanks Serena. Glad to be of service.

PSMTCHEF I would say invest in some 18s for sparring
Very entertaining video with some very interesting insights.
great video with excellent advice. big up from guam!!
I'm 130 pounds or 60 kilos and have small hands so I usually train and spar in a 12 ounce

Quality matters
So what are the recommended brands if you have above average size hands?
I’m 5”11 weight 185. My wrist is small and I have skinny fingers . I’ll be using them to hit an aqua punching bag only. What do you suggest for me?
I just started normal boxing....would i be able to use the twins muy thai gloves for this? or should i stick to normal boxing brands
what is the benefits of having a glove with a grip bar and a glove without?
Just adds something to grip and to help hold the fist while in the glove
